Lin Fei wiped at his sweat. "Little Black, you say it. This isn’t something you can’t talk about, right?"

Little Black opened his mouth and said, "It’s not that I can’t say it, but for you guys, it’s just too far away. After all, do you even know what stage you’re currently at?"

Lin Fei and the ape both shook their heads. They looked up at the bright opening above; they were about to reach it.

Little Black smiled, fearless in his ignorance. "Our Dragon Clan, although we’re a very powerful race in the Upper Realm, the true peak existences actually aren’t us. Our Dragon Clan has Dragon Venerates. Do you know what that means?"

Hearing Little Black say this, Lin Fei and the ape fell silent. That was indeed very powerful—no, not just powerful, it was terrifyingly powerful.

Hou Qitian, the ape, spoke up. "A Dragon Venerate must be a supreme existence that stands above the entire world, right!"

"What do you think? With your kind of Beast King level, don’t even talk about a Dragon Venerate—just a Dragon Emperor could easily take care of you."

Hou Qitian let out a sigh. "As expected... not knowing is one thing, but once you know, it’s really a blow to the ego!"

Lin Fei shook his head and looked upward. In the end, he and Little Black shot straight up into the sky and burst out of that place, arriving above. Hou Qitian did the same, rushing out of the giant deep pit and appearing in midair.

At the same time, Lin Fei said, "To us, they’re very strong, incredibly strong. But they were once just like us, taking step after step forward before finally reaching where they are now. So there’s no need for us to be afraid of anything. As long as we work hard, we’ll definitely be able to become as powerful as they are."

Little Black laughed.

"Hahahahaha! Lin Fei, what I admire most about you is this! You’re not afraid—neither heaven nor earth—and you dare to charge in and catch up. Unlike others, who, once they hear about such powerful figures, get scared stiff, refuse to move forward, give rise to inner demons, and will never reach that level in their lives."

Lin Fei gave an awkward smile. "I just feel that the process of fighting from the very bottom to the very top is exhilarating. When you’re still an ant, facing those supreme existences, utterly powerless... then you keep working step by step, until one day you stand shoulder to shoulder with that supreme existence, or even surpass them. That feeling must be amazing!"

"Hahaha! Exactly, Lin Fei, you’re absolutely right. That’s the thing Grandpa Dragon values most about you!"

Lin Fei rolled his eyes at Little Black and said, "Quit talking nonsense. Who the hell are you calling grandpa?"

Little Black laughed awkwardly. "Didn’t mean you. Just pretend you didn’t hear it, hahaha."

At this moment, Hou Qitian looked at Lin Fei and felt that Lin Fei was truly very different. Although Lin Fei’s strength wasn’t as good as his, Lin Fei’s mindset was that of a true powerhouse. If he kept walking this path, his achievements would definitely surpass Hou Qitian’s.

"Alright, Little Black, stop laughing. Talk about this ’Saint’ thing."

Lin Fei was extremely curious. After all, if a Saint really existed, what kind of power would that be? So towards Saints, Lin Fei was all the more curious and eager to know more.

Little Black looked at Lin Fei and asked, "You really want to know?"

"Of course. Why would I lie about that?" Lin Fei shot back. Did you need lies just to ask about something?

"Since you want to know, I’ll tell you."

To Little Black, someone like Lin Fei wouldn’t be crushed even if he knew. His mindset was strong; giving him a longer-term goal might even increase his chances of success. So Little Black decided to tell him the power levels of this world.

"Lin Fei, you should already know that the ordinary, lowest-level realms start from Foundation Establishment. Then you form a Golden Core, and when the core shatters, it becomes a Nascent Soul. After Nascent Soul, you have to undergo the Nine Transitions, only then can you reach the True Body Realm. After that comes the King Level, which is the level Hou Qitian is at."

"The power of the King Level is deadly to someone like you in the Nascent Soul Realm, and it’s just as fatal to those in the Nine Transitions as well. But above the King Level? To the Emperor-level, Kings aren’t a big deal. Of course, someone like Hou Qitian, relying on other methods, can still resist a bit. But above the Emperor-level is the Emperor Level, above the Emperor Level is the Venerable Level, and above that is the Saint Level."

Little Black said this, leaving Lin Fei and Hou Qitian quite shocked. They hadn’t expected so many hidden tiers. They hadn’t known any of this—this world was truly vast.

"And above the Saint Level?" Lin Fei asked in puzzlement.

Hearing Lin Fei’s question, Little Black was a bit speechless. "Lin Fei, you ask so much, aren’t you afraid you’ll tire yourself to death?"

"The road is walked step by step, and with every step you’re shortening the distance to the finish line, aren’t you?"

"Yes, that’s right. Then I’ll tell you clearly: the Saint Level already stands above this world. As for beyond the Saint Level, of course there’s more. But that’s the Dragon Clan’s most closely guarded secret. Even the Dragon Emperor has no right to look upon it, let alone a little Dragon King like me."

Lin Fei understood. It seemed there were higher levels beyond the Saint Level. But once you reached those heights, what would you need? Was there an even greater heaven and earth?

No one gave Lin Fei an answer to that. He could only move forward one step at a time. After all, right now he was just at the Nascent Soul Realm. There were still nine gates between him and the King Level, and only after that would he have the chance to possibly become one of those supreme existences.

So Lin Fei could only take it slowly.

"Alright, I’ve finished answering your questions. You two wait here. I’ll go fetch the Dragon Ball. After that, we’ll discuss what to do next." Little Black finished speaking and dove straight underground, arriving beside the Dragon Ball. In an instant he expanded in size, swallowed it in one gulp, then leapt up and shot out of that gigantic circular pit. What was surprising was that the enormous round hole was just big enough for Little Black to pass through.

As soon as Little Black burst out, a dragon’s roar echoed from within the cave. Then a giant dragon formed from condensed golden light suddenly rushed out of the opening, soared into the sky, circled once in the air, and slowly dispersed.

This terrified all the beasts into prostrating on the ground, not daring to make a sound, their hearts pounding in sheer terror.

"So that’s how this deep pit was formed?" Lin Fei said in surprise.

"Hou Qitian, catch!"

Little Black tossed the Dragon Ball directly to Hou Qitian. The ape caught it; he had finally gotten it in his hands. Every time he’d tried to take it out before, he found he simply couldn’t. There was a dragon aura inside pulling at the Dragon Ball. Even after nurturing it for five hundred years, he still hadn’t been able to take it out.

He hadn’t expected that as a member of the Dragon Clan, Little Black could just take the Dragon Ball out directly. It truly deserved to be something of the Dragon Ball’s lineage.

"Lin Fei, where are we going next?" Little Black asked.
