The King’s Moment

Chapter 95: Testimonials

Once again, as usual, there is something to talk about. Listing is a repetitive thing, but every time a piece is different, there are still many differences in how you feel when you go on the shelf.

For over 13 years, it's mostly game-type novels.

One-way Journeys, which began in 2005; Near Warriors on Cyber, which began in 2008; Full-time Masters, which began in 2011; and King's Hour, which began in April this year. There were two short stories in the process, one in the magazine's "Journey to the River and Lake", and the other was not published yet, so I lay low, I kept it confidential, I didn't say it.

Leaving aside two short stories, the four ministers have a time interval of at least three years. I looked back at it myself, and I thought about it, and I found that most of these pieces fit perfectly into my mind.

I started writing Solo Trip in 2005, and I haven't graduated from college, and I don't have any particular formal thoughts on life. Playing games at internet cafes was a major pastime for me when I was in college. So what the game has in my eyes is entertainment properties, so the protagonist in the work has no ideals, no purpose, no baggage, even no real life, just fun in the game, that's all.

By 2008, he had graduated three years after writing "The Mage of Near Warfare on Online Tour", felt pressured to survive and began to care about what he should live on. Gaming is still a pastime, but when it comes to entertainment, you can't help but ask yourself what's the use of playing games? This idea is reflected once again in the main character of the book. Gu Fei thought about “what good is kung fu”, and ultimately kung fu can become like BUG in the game. So it's naive, and this book gives games functionality other than entertainment. And I myself was in the process of writing this book, and writing started thinking about it seriously, starting with the purely entertaining state that I used to play games with.

And then in 2011, I wrote "Full-time Mastery," and that year I was 28, two years away from the so-called 30 years, and I felt that I needed to have a clear direction and plan for the future, so I had Ye Shu, Zheng Jing Yang's e-sports professional player, and the game was his way out, his ideals, his talents, and his achievements, and that was probably what I needed then, and again, the protagonist of the novel realized through the game.

And then right now, writing "The King's Moment," before that, I had no idea to write any more game novels, because I couldn't find anything else I wanted to write about. The confusion, nightmare and uncertainty that existed at a young age have become a thing of the past. Games are recreated as recreational things, and the way they are recreational is very different from when I was 18: I am no longer interested in watching any drama in the game, outgoing CGs and animations are cancelled or skipped, I am sick of tasks or copies that take a while to complete, I no longer have the patience to deal with players in the game, my favorite game function is hanging up...

And that's when a little buddy of mine started growing up day after day.

When I hit the King of Glory, she would look at it curiously and ask, "Who is it and who are you?" Is this a boy or a girl? Why are you a little girl? I don't think this looks good the last time. How did you die? Why are you dead again?

From now on, I can't help but wonder what the game is to me that I can already grasp. But when this little buddy grows up, when she starts touching the game, what does she think of it? How will she get along with the game? Does the game have more features and meaning than entertainment as she grows up?

Later, I was inspired to hear him talk about the educational attributes of football at a new book launch by his good friend Lin Haitao. Because what he called educational attributes, in fact, could not be said to have been attributed to football, but to fair sporting events. As long as it has that attribute, it actually has what he calls educational significance.

So to the game, I was thinking from a perspective I hadn't seen before. Before I had confirmed whether it was necessary to be a work, I thanked Tencent for providing me with a blueprint for the King's Glory game. The real game was very useful for expressing my thoughts this time, so I had The King's Moment.

This work will be more real than previous game novels, not just because the games used in the novel are real games, but because what I care about and want to talk about in this book is something more personal.

Take a closer look at what's right in a game, much like an abbreviation of life.

You were born in Fountain Water, you started to grow, you started to face competition, you started to compete for limited resources, some people got ahead of you, some people got stronger and stronger, some people frequently missed, others gradually got rid of you. How do you stand in the right place? How to catch up with adversity? When you win this round, how much is on your own? How many partners made you? How much experience and lessons did you learn from the previous challenge when the next challenge came?

The seeds of life, as if they could be mapped into this little game. Does it matter if you win or lose every game? Important, because that's what you're trying to do in this game; but more importantly, how to face the next game after this one or winning or losing.

It may be argued that it is not so exaggerated that it is important for a game. But this game, or any drip in life, can be dictated by everyone's personality and emotions.

This is the direction I found for this book, and what I want to highlight in this book: what can the game bring us? What can we experience in the game?

Feng Xiaoxiao is a simple game player.

Gu Feiner used the game as a stage for boxing. It's a real boxing spree, literally.

Ye Shuna games as ideals and goals.

And this time, why would he and his friends think of the game as something? What will the game bring them?

I hope they have a lot of other game-loving little buddies who can find answers.

Finally, I feel that the reader has long supported and liked it, I don't know how many others have seen it since the first book, this is the sixth time it has been launched!

Thank you very much.
