On the way, Ruan Jiaojiao sent two messages to Duan Xi, using punctuation marks to create some emojis to act cute, which slightly eased her guilt.
Luckily, the hot pot restaurant wasn’t far from the hotel. As soon as they arrived at the hotel entrance, a staff member came out with the packed food, which they took directly to Duan Xi’s company.
At the company, Ruan Jiaojiao greeted the two companions and ran upstairs.
Since the company was just starting and in the development phase, besides the game development team members, Duan Xi had only hired two cleaning aunties—one for cleaning and one for cooking. There was temporarily no reception desk downstairs, so no one stopped her. She went up smoothly.
At the entrance, she was slightly out of breath from running.
A few employees inside who heard the commotion peeked and they all knew Ruan Jiaojiao, greeting her with smiles. Ruan Jiaojiao caught her breath and just took a step inside when she saw Duan Xi coming out of the office with a stern face.
Ruan Jiaojiao raised her hand in a pleasing manner: "Brother Xi, I brought you food."
Duan Xi glanced at her, stepped forward, grabbed her wrist, and led her into the office.
