Rod frowned and asked, "What does this mean? Is there something special about the Red Tear Stone?"

The Book of Knowledge spoke solemnly, "The Red Tear Stone is a product of fire, and the only difference from fire is that it is a solidified material. Simply put, when the power of fire is released in another form, it can also dispel abyssal pollution."

Rod’s heart skipped a beat, the words of the Book of Knowledge were clear; it was indicating that the aura of the abyss and the Black Fog have some special connection.

Is it possible that the Black Fog truly originated from the abyss?

Rod immediately redirected his gaze, and as the Eye of the Soul operated at its highest efficiency, he was shocked to discover that the Guardian Fire within the Spirit Lamp could also dispel abyssal aura. Although the range was small, only about one-thousandth of a yard, it was very real in the vision of the Eye of the Soul, unlike the effect of the Abyss Blade. Allan’s Abyss Blade has a fixed dispel range; the Royal City has long conducted in-depth research on it, calculating the dispel strength to less than one ten-thousandth.

Quickly, Rod eliminated any error; in the swirling fog, such a small distance was hard to detect, and it also slightly fluctuates with the flicker of the fire.

If it weren’t for the Eye of the Soul’s ability to see changes in the "Field," he wouldn’t be able to make a judgment at all.

Now, he could confirm that fire is also effective against abyssal aura.

"In this light, the Black Fog and the abyss definitely share the same source, but the specifics of their relationship remain uncertain."

Rod clenched his fist.

"This time, the abyss has come at the right moment."

After relaying this matter to the four, they were equally shocked and tremendously excited, as this meant they were one step closer to uncovering the secrets of the Black Fog.

Chucher’s eyes shone like stars: "Perhaps we are about to create history."

Viheler shouted, "Quick, let’s go! I’m going to massacre those abyssal creatures; my great sword is itching for action!"

Rod, however, did not rush; he first tested the Teleportation Gate, ensuring it can still be activated within the abyss. He then passed this information to Qingyu at the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground and instructed her to keep some strong individuals on standby. If an emergency arises, he could swiftly open the Teleportation Gate to call for support.

After completing all these preparations, he ventured into the depths of the abyss.

All five were Primordial beings; the derivative layer of the abyss could no longer obstruct them. Any weak abyssal demons were obliterated by Rod’s Soul Field before they could even approach, turning to flying ash.

Viheler, Chucher, Fei Xue, and Frank produced similar effects; the impact of their powerful Divine Power was too intense for the weaker demons to withstand, though the range was slightly smaller and the effect took a little longer to activate, allowing some fortunate demons to escape on occasion.

The dangers of the abyss posed no threat to them; if not for avoiding pollution, they could have crossed this area in a short amount of time.

Even so, Rod did not take long; about a clock hour later, he found the position’s lowest point, the deepest part of a canyon. On the edge of a vast desolate wasteland, they flew downward for at least tens of thousands of yards to reach it.

Frank asked in amazement, "Lord Rod, do you know the way through the abyss?"

Throughout the journey, they flew almost in a straight line to the target location without any detours.

Rod casually replied, "Not really, but I have special exploration techniques."

Everyone looked astonished; they no longer doubted Rod’s ability to easily accomplish what others couldn’t, but unbeknownst to them, this "special exploration technique" actually came from the guidance of the Book of Knowledge and the Book of Eternity.

After recovering all his soul, the Book of Knowledge recalled much knowledge about the abyss. It had a deep understanding of the abyss and could quickly plot a specific route, then have the Book of Eternity confirm it.

Thus, a direct route to the lowest point of position quickly emerged.

The intensity of the Black Fog and the concentration of abyssal aura at the bottom layer of the canyon increased greatly, and besides Rod, the other four equipped themselves with more Spirit Lamps and Abyss Blades.

Once ready, Rod raised his hand, injecting all 275 units of Divine Power into the Spirit Boat. A vast white mist instantly enveloped the five of them, carrying them further down into the abyss.

In almost an instant, the Spirit Realm Ship dissipated, Rod’s foot landed heavily, and they had already touched down.

Turning to look around, the four were behind him, unharmed, but half of their Spirit Lamps at their waists were extinguished, and their Abyss Blades were full of cracks. Rod had to pull more souls and Abyss Blades from the Dream Realm to hand them.

"Is this the deeper layer of the abyss?"

Frank sighed, as pure black mist and the ashen aura of abyssal gas mingled together, pervading the entire space, significantly stronger than the previous layer.

Through the mist, he could see they were on an endless black wasteland; barren and silent, it was the main theme here. Aside from the rampant flow of Black Water, there was nothing else on the ground.

But vaguely, he could see some giant black shadows in the distance, which seemed to be powerful abyss monsters.

"Level 15 Spiritual Energy," Rod said calmly, "Still dust, pay it no mind."
