Chapter 1970 - 873: Awakening_2
Dalun’s body trembled, and he asked urgently, "How do you know?"
The Great Shepherd Leader answered solemnly, "I deduced it from many events that occurred in the destruction of Yarno and Saint Longde — the final plan’s trap, the fall of the King of Yarno, the emergence of the Dark Ring, and the Dark Container capable of containing True God Level power, all indicate that the Black Fog requires a powerful carrier. If my deduction is correct, the Dark Spirit might be influenced by the pervasive will of the Black Fog Origin. The final plan is its conspiracy, but if the tide of the Black Fog arrives, and those ancient Fallen True Gods awaken, there would be no need for such a conspiracy. Perhaps supporting the activities of the Fallen True Gods who have mastered the Primordial Law would consume a significant amount of the Black Fog’s energy. Unless they pose a real threat to the existence of the Black Fog, eerie Ancestors, Supreme Demon Lords, such formidable True Gods will not awaken."
Dalun’s expression immediately eased, knowing that if they do not have to face these unstoppable Fallen True Gods, Trolian might truly survive.
However, Qingyu remained with a furrowed brow, feeling vaguely that things were not as the Great Shepherd Leader described.
She turned her gaze and glanced at Rod, only to find disbelief in his eyes.
"Little Rod," she asked softly, "Do you think what the Great Shepherd Leader said is possible?"
Rod was silent for a few seconds. He knew, of course, that things were not as the Great Shepherd Leader described. He had already seen in the souls of the "Black Fog Demon" and "Amidala" that both the Supreme Demon Lord and the Supreme Will would awaken, and precisely because of their awakening, these once powerful entities became very vulnerable.
Yet, he did not speak of this. He knew well that in such a hopeless environment, hope and confidence were more precious than gold. Possessing them does not necessarily ensure survival, but losing them certainly ensures death.
Therefore, Rod’s answer was, "Yes, I think it’s possible."
The Great Shepherd Leader sensed Rod’s insincerity but attributed it merely to Rod’s partial disbelief in his hypothesis, saying, "But, this is simply my guess. Regardless, we need more Primordial powerhouses, or after the tide of greater darkness arrives, we will still face destruction. In fact, I have always believed that precisely because we adventured in Saint Longde to defeat the fallen King of Yarno and the Dark Spirit, that we won ourselves a ray of hope. The Holy Emperor’s Time Retrospection greatly depleted the power of the Black Fog, otherwise, the tide we would face would be even more dreadful."
Rod nodded, in fact, he believed the same. It was precisely because of this that he insisted on venturing into the Abyss.
Dalun sighed lightly, "Yes, we need more Primordial powerhouses. Their role on the battlefield is irreplaceable."
The Great Shepherd Leader said, "According to my observations, among the Life of Man in Trolian, Tai Luo, Olivia, Dark Moon, Luo Weiya, Misha, Peibela, Jelaba, Red Queen, these individuals are the strongest, the most potential. They are most likely to easily step into the Primordial. Of course, Rod and Alan are even stronger. Yet King might have been the one with the most potential among all Life of Man, regrettably, he has fallen. In fact, I suspect that this involves the influence of the Dark Spirit. The true purpose of the Human Demon Wars in Trolian might have been to ambush the Source Heavenly God Throne, the Phantom of eerie Ancestors, being the real trump card for its destruction."
Rod’s expression turned slightly gloomy, reflecting now, indeed that possibility exists.
"Fortunately, King left his Source Heavenly God Throne within the Holy Fire, and most of his inheritance was taken over by Emperor Qingyu."
The Great Shepherd Leader’s gaze turned towards Qingyu, filled with heavy expectation.
Qingyu’s expression appeared somewhat somber, "I... I am far from being as strong as King, my power, talent, potential, wisdom, all pale in comparison to him. It’s only by relying on the Holy Fire, relying on his inheritance that I have come this far, but even so, among the Primordial powerhouses, I am not particularly strong."
Rod comforted, "Qingyu, it’s not your fault. It is the rank of the Holy Fire that limits you. Trolian’s Holy Fire is only Third Rank, no matter what, you cannot surpass Holy Fire. I suspect, back then, King also could have been restricted by Holy Fire."
Dalun asked, "Great Shepherd Leader, do we have a way to find new Holy Fire Seeds?"
The Great Shepherd Leader slightly shook his head, "Highly unlikely, unless we enter the Main Continent, all Holy Fire Seeds outside the Main Continent should have disappeared, but currently, it is an impossible feat."
Everyone’s expression appeared somewhat gloomy. If Trolian could have a stronger Holy Fire, they would not only have stronger Fire Protection but also a mightier King, a stronger Fire Domain, and Trolian’s overall power would be enormously enhanced.
Unfortunately, amidst the calamity now, they cannot leave Trolian, let alone enter the Main Continent that Yarno and Saint Longde failed to access for over a thousand years.
After a brief silence, Dalun said solemnly, "Great Shepherd Leader, let us first recall Tai Luo, Olivia, Dark Moon, and such back to Trolian, along with Bossivale."
The Great Shepherd Leader nodded and was just about to speak when suddenly Asa shouted in Rod’s mind.
