Chapter 2053 - 903: The Eve
Under the guidance of Asa and Asa, Mephit burned through an uncountable amount of Humanity and finally restored one of the three Soul Ripples back to the quasi-King ranks, and her Soul still remained stable, while the other two Soul Ripples stayed in a silent State.
Asa said proudly: "This is all my accomplishment. Without my foretelling, her Soul would have collapsed long ago. It would have been absolutely impossible for her to make it this far."
But Rod frowned, looking at Mephit before him. She maintained an exquisitely beautiful form, Cold Ice and snowflakes circling around her, mighty Source Law ripples blooming from her Soul, a terrifying cold silence spreading around her. Her silver long hair stirred slightly in the cold wind, and her silver eyes stared at him without Spirit. Although Mephit had always appeared like this in the past, this time he felt something was off.
"Mephit!"
Rod called out, but the figure before him did not respond. He felt a bone-piercing chill spreading from the depths of his Soul, like cold blades skewering his Intuition and Inspiration.
"No... something’s wrong!"
Rod realized the problem in an instant. The [Divine Sense] granted him super-Strong Inspiration, making him feel an extreme danger, as if the girl before him would bring a catastrophic crisis upon them.
Suddenly, he remembered: the Mephit of the past had been called the Son of Destruction. Iyeta had once foretold a vision of her destroying the Royal City. It was precisely because of this that Mephit had suffered years of suppression; her companions, her kin, all died because of her, and she was branded a heretic by the Royal City. If not for the King, she would have been burned to death long ago.
But after she later joined the Black Battle Group, Mephit had never again shown any problems. Her level of power was no longer particularly outstanding, and as stronger warriors joined, she gradually faded from memory—until now, when Rod suddenly recalled it.
"Asa, immediately foretell everything concerning Mephit—her fate, her Soul, her future!"
Asa also sensed that something was wrong. It frantically flipped through the pages; Golden Light of destiny flashed rapidly between the seams of the book, and the golden great tree within its Spiritual Body swayed violently.
The Book of Knowledge cried out: "Master, bring her into the Dream Realm! As for the existence of the Outer Gods, we know very little; we don’t understand Their tendencies or stances, nor do we know Their concrete whereabouts. We must stay alert to the possible presence of a Traitor among Them, and any leftover backhand They may have left—if such a thing truly exists, it will certainly erupt at a time like this. And Mephit bears the Soul Ripples of three Outer Gods; she is extremely dangerous. Although Master has already stepped into the Peak quasi-King, that still cannot completely assure that she will not harm the Royal City. It is best to bring her into the Dream Realm; only then can we be absolutely safe."
Rod nodded, took Mephit’s hand, and drew her into the Dream Realm. She thus became the Dream Realm’s first human visitor.
The Spirit of Life blossomed with multicolored radiance, enveloping Mephit, allowing her to exist normally within the Dream Realm without being recognized as an enemy by the Dream Realm’s power.
The puppet glanced at the Tombstone and said softly: "Master, Mephit’s name is still not clear; she is not a complete Dream Envoy."
Rod’s brows furrowed even more tightly. Mephit, who had become a quasi-King with his aid, had yet to become a Dream Envoy—this was absolutely unprecedented. Any other quasi-King, any other Primordial Strong, as long as they had received his aid, were all Dream Envoys.
The Book of Knowledge murmured: "Master, this human is extremely special. She seems to be an Angel Envoy of some True God, which is why the Dream Realm’s conversion is so slow."
A tremor ran through Rod’s heart. "What did you say? How could Mephit possibly be an Angel Envoy of another True God? Aren’t all the True Gods long since fallen? Are there still True Gods in existence?"
"No."
The puppet said softly: "Master, the genuine God is undying. They transcend all, self-existing and ever-existing, endless and eternal—even if They have already fallen, They still exist, merely in another form."
Rod’s eyes widened. This Description he had heard only once before—down among the Residual Spirits in the lowest Abyss, and the object it described was the Primordial God!
"You mean Mephit is an Angel Envoy of some Primordial God?"
"It’s only a conjecture."
Rod stared in disbelief at the silver-haired girl shrouded in ice and snow before him. "She is an Angel Envoy of a Primordial God? Which Primordial God—could it be the Primordial Divine King Atos?"
As his words fell, the Dream Realm instantly sank into deathly silence. After a long while, the Book of Knowledge gently flipped a few pages. "Master, for some reason I have a premonition that perhaps what you said is correct. That would also explain why she obtained the Soul Ripples of three Outer Gods."
Cold seeped across Rod’s body; countless riddles were Freezing in the ocean of his thoughts. He could not imagine Mephit being the Divine Envoy of the Primordial Divine King, nor did he know what that would signify.
He didn’t know how much time had passed when Asa suddenly shouted: "Master, I’ve run into enormous trouble. Deep within this human’s Soul there is some kind of extremely high-Position Spirit existence. I have never seen such a high-Position Spirit. Even though it is only a thread as fine as dust, it still blocks my sight like a towering mountain! I need your help!"
Rod clenched his fist. "What should I do?"
"I need to complete the foretelling of destiny with you as the main body. Only you, who stand as the Master of Dreams, can peer into the future that I cannot see. Please enter a pseudo-sleep while in contact with the primary target; I will use the power of destiny to stir your Inspiration and allow you, within the Dream Realm’s dream, to foretell her future."
