Chapter 1961 - 871: The Great Tide of Black Fog
Rod was startled; he hadn’t expected the auxiliary tower group of the White Tower to be completed so quickly, nor had he anticipated Asa’s awakening. This meant that the necessary conditions for prophecy had been met. Possibly, the only thing missing was an item related to the "Person of Extreme Evil," but it didn’t matter; for such high-rank prophecy, the item wasn’t the key medium—the information inherent in its existence was.
He immediately left the Dream Realm and rushed to the White Tower.
It had only been a few days since his last visit, and the sight before him was unrecognizable. The White Tower was originally on the outskirts of the Royal City, atop a solitary peak in the Dead Ash Mountain Range, with nothing but rocks surrounding it. But now, before his eyes was a landscape of pure white tower forests, countless auxiliary towers spread across the mountains, varying in heights, stacked layer upon layer, encircling the central White Tower like stars surrounding the moon.
The Great Shepherd stood at the pinnacle of the White Tower, countless waves of Spiritual Energy spreading around him, permeating down towards the tower group below. Rod knew this was the Great Shepherd using spiritual communication to command the Prophets in the auxiliary towers. He could clearly sense the power of prophecy gradually forming a massive web, linking together and converging at the center of the White Tower.
"Lord Rod, you have arrived..."
The Great Shepherd saw him immediately, and his expression froze, eyes wide as though he had witnessed something never seen before.
"This, this is 100, no, 200, no, no, 275 units of Divine Power, 11 segments of Primordial Law, a third-stage primordial being... I’m not mistaken, this is not an illusion, this is a third-stage primordial being!"
For the first time, the Great Shepherd’s expression lost composure, his face stretched like a flatbread, eyes bulging like copper bells.
"Three days, just three days, reconstituted 9 segments of Primordial Law... Is this the Life of Man? Is this the Dark Destroyer?"
Beside him, Iyeta was equally shocked; upon Rod’s arrival, the extremely powerful soul merely existed, distorting space: "Is it you? Lord Rod, is it you?"
Rod smiled and said, "Of course it is me, just like Alan, I too am a combat-type of Life of Man. After each fight, my soul strengthens, the intensity of the battle increases my enhancement, the True King level battlefield in the Saint Longde Royal City greatly stimulated my soul. Once I fully digest this power, I will be elevated."
The Great Shepherd’s expression was complex, he remained silent for a few seconds before sighing lightly: "It would have been better if you appeared earlier."
Rod smiled without speaking, in the Dream Realm, Asa curiously flipped through the pages, but the power of destiny abruptly halted at the master’s presence, unable to probe into his past nor predict if the Great Shepherd’s words could ever come true.
"Strange, the master’s destiny path is peculiar, your appearance seems beyond fate, it can’t be sooner than this."
The Book of Knowledge said: "Of course, it can’t be sooner, with the Dream Realm so damaged, it can’t designate a master."
"That’s not what I meant..."
Asa wanted to say more, but was stopped by Rod.
"Don’t waste your energy, there’s something bigger coming."
Asa immediately grew excited, it wasn’t prophecy within the Saint Longde Prophetic City it had experienced before, it hadn’t been able to digest so much Destiny Energy, thus couldn’t further merge with the Book of Eternity, reaching where it is today.
Now it had far surpassed its previous peak, but it hadn’t reached the level to alter someone’s destiny, control their paths, master the now, future, and past. It hadn’t reached the power to demand Asa, that fool, kneel before it to acknowledge past mistakes, it needed to digest more Destiny Energy to possess such power.
And each grand prophecy was a stepping stone, elevating it on this high platform. One day it would become the king of destiny, and Asa would be renamed its dog, eternally groveling at its feet.
Holding such a beautiful dream, Asa soon awaited the master’s summons.
Upon returning to the Main Material World, the air was still filled with the scent of prophecy, the powers of fate and time gathered from all directions, collecting before it.
What distinctly differed from the previous experience in the Prophetic City was that Asa clearly sensed a stronger, more profound, more distant existence at the center of this colossal prophetic power. Its position, its tier in destiny, even surpassed itself, aligning with its body and the Book of Eternity.
"What is this?" Asa screamed wildly: "Why am I not the core of prophecy? This way I don’t gain much harvest."
The master’s voice resonated within its soul: "Asa, this time you need to cooperate with the Master of White Tower, Iyeta, to complete this prophecy together."
As soon as the words fell, Asa felt itself being picked up by unfamiliar hands, it struggled fiercely, shouting: "No, no, I don’t want to be touched by filthy hands other than the master, I don’t want to prophesize with someone else, I want to be the core!"
Iyeta helplessly looked at the frantically bouncing book in his hands, glancing at Rod.
Rod hesitated for a few seconds before reluctantly taking it, not because of Asa’s tantrum, but because the Book of Knowledge said in his mind: "Master, it’s best if you control the Book of Eternity, it is a Dream Creation, and you are the Master of Dreams."
