Chapter 1995 - 881: Quasi-King
Dream Realm.
Rod once again arrived at the Soul Wilderness, and it had completely transformed.
On the land without light, there were mountains of ashes everywhere; the once diminutive campfire-like ashes were now scarce, and the wilderness was no longer barren.
Rod came to a massive relic of ash and looked up, seeing a line of text appear before him.
[Ignite this relic of ash, awaken this power]
[Required: 1 Great Divine Soul, 2496 Strong Sources, 9984 Soul Firewood]
This was the relic of ashes from [Justice Execution], and after breaking the seal of the Black Fog, it had become the star Rod wanted to rekindle the most.
"Book, I remember, this star is from the Fire Epoch, it is the relic of a warrior guarding Sorris."
Rod said calmly, awakening the illusions of [Justice Execution] and [Star Shuttle], which were his most profound recollections.
"According to the principles of star relics, then this warrior, like Sorris from [Star Shuttle], also became a formidable Quasi-King Level expert?"
The Book of Knowledge affirmed: "Of course."
"However, in the illusion, they don’t seem that powerful."
"The capabilities of the Star Tower have limits; such powerful beings cannot be fully presented in the illusion. In fact, when Spiritual Energy reaches the stage of Divine Power, it possesses the power of the Primordial Law, which surpasses the limits of the Star Tower. Thus, those stronger than Primordial cannot be fully represented in the illusion. What you can sense are the limits of Level 17 Spiritual Energy, and parts of the illusion are twisted by Black Fog pollution... Of course, specifically for these two stars, it’s likely due to the time period; generally speaking, after reaching their peak, strong individuals often don’t leave many memories; the profound ones are the stages before they reach their peak."
Rod nodded slightly; the Book of Knowledge was very reasonable, no wonder the Star Tower chose memories from the early periods of strong beings most of the time, whether it was Sorris or the warrior guarding Sorris.
Revisiting now, back at the Asdara Tower, the Supreme Demon Lord Tristan could certainly not only possess Level 17 Spiritual Energy; he should be a mighty True God with Level 19 Spiritual Energy.
Yet Rod frowned, remembering "Sorris", considered the Savior, who ultimately did not step into Primordial, but instead entered the starry sky with the power of the Shining Star Heart in the form of a Spirit.
Could it be that Sorris reached the Primordial peak after entering the starry sky?
Rod fell into contemplation, then after a moment asked: "Book, is the Shining Star Heart a Source Artifact?"
The Book of Knowledge confirmed: "Absolutely, according to my memory, apart from a few special Source Artifacts, true Source Artifacts are relics from the initial Epoch, but most have been shattered. Later generations largely recast new Source Artifacts from their fragments, and the Shining Star Heart might be such a Source Artifact."
Rod did not speak, merely gazing at the pure white relic of [Justice Execution], suddenly realizing that the original owner of this star had also reached the peak Quasi-King level in the end, then her [Spiritual Power Multiple Melodies] must have extremely high potency, causing a substantial threat to the Black Fog, otherwise, it would not warrant such a special seal by the Black Fog.
Yet, humanity with such a strong being ultimately could not escape the fate of extinction; even if her [Spiritual Power Multiple Melodies] were not as potent as his own under the Crown’s blessing, humanity at that time should also possess powerful Source Artifacts, not to mention Omir with the complete Crown also succumbed under the Black Fog.
"Can we... really achieve victory?" Rod murmured.
The Book of Knowledge turned its pages but could not utter a word; if victory had been possible, the dream realm would not have shattered thrice, and the Master of Dreams would not have appeared for nine terms.
But such gloom only persisted briefly, then Rod lifted his gaze again, calmly answering himself: "Without taking this step, how would we know it’s impossible? The world shouldn’t be like this, it should be under bright sunshine, amidst warm breezes... Yes, I refuse to accept grotesque twisted deformed monsters, I refuse dark terrifying ghastly death, I want everything I desire, I say so."
"Come, rekindle this relic for the world within the dream."
Rod raised his hand, placing the [Deformed Fusion Soul] into the ashes, followed by 2496 Strong Sources and 9984 Soul Firewood.
After defeating the fusion monster and shattered abyss monster, he gained over 620,000 Divinity from their souls, along with the remaining 440,000 from the previous star rekindling, and the more than 60,000 acquired from awakening the Life of Man, his total Divinity now once more exceeded 1.1 million.
Rekindling a star could consume up to 120,000 Divinity, minimally 60,000 to 70,000 Divinity, including what is needed to ignite the relic itself, and the 25,000 Divinity required to reinforce Divine Fire for each Primordial Law.
Rod currently possesses 11 Primordial Laws; as long as he rekindles 10 more stars, he can step into the Fifth Stage of Primordial, which is the domain of Quasi-King.
According to the calculations of the Book of Knowledge, with the current Divinity possession of the master, achieving this goal is basically possible. But, considering they are about to set foot into the deepest layer of the Abyss, they should at least reserve 100,000 Divinity; what if they encounter danger beneath the Abyss after using up all the Divinity?
