The Last Surviving Alchemist Wants to Live Quietly in the City

The lion's fangs sleep in the labyrinth

Every time I perform throughout the Empire, I have a popular performance.

The play, entitled "Golden Lion's Fang Sleeps in the Labyrinth," is a story inspired by Leonhardt's Labyrinth Crusade, as the title suggests.

Lying on the floor with a petrification curse, General Leo meets the Queen of the Spirit in the abyss of death.

The Queen of the Spirit, the keeper of the earth's veins, works miracles to help General Leo, even as he is about to be robbed of his power and devoured and killed by the Lord of the Labyrinth.

My brother Ace and his fiancée Kathy offer prayers to the Queen of the Spirit on General Leo's hospital bed. The Queen of the Spirit linked Cathy to the earth and gave birth to her as an alchemist.

Kathy, an old family lady of alchemists, creates a potion to break the curse of petrification by the knowledge she has been passing down and the miracle of the Spirit, and General Leo takes his life.

General Leo pledges his gratitude for his survival and vows to rescue the Queen of the Spirit.

By the potion created by Cathy, the inspired Queen of the Spirit, and the activity of the army led by General Leo, the Labyrinth Crusade goes a long way, but the Labyrinth is also a big thing, blocking the way with those hands.

General Leo's close-range attack and Deputy General Ace's long-range attack. The two brothers face each other in strength, but they are finally about to do their best.

The cornered General Leo uses a forbidden potion. And, of course, Vice General Jesus and the soldiers. The effect of the forbidden potion is wonderful, and with a thousand powers, they manage to crusade the Lord of the Labyrinth and free the Queen of the Spirit.

By the work of the soldiers led by General Leo, she was the queen of spirits saved before her life was exhausted, but the wounds on the Lord of the Labyrinth were deep and still disappear.

To save such a spiritual queen, General Leo uses the power of the nucleus of the labyrinth for the spiritual queen.

Thus the Queen of the Spirit survived, and the earth became the land of men, General Leo and others.

Yeah, but.

The Leo generals, who used the forbidden potion, lose a thousand of their powers due to their side effects. The Queen of the Spirit has also long been eroded by the Lord of the Labyrinth, so she can no longer even appear.

The end of the play ends with a scene in which General Leo, one kneed on the earth, rises up to support his sword.

The contrast between the eyes of the soldiers looking up to the heroic General Leo and the demonic shadow that rises behind them conveys to the audience a future full of their ordeal and a will that still cannot be broken.

And it ends with narration like this.

"The glory of General Leo and the others who shot the labyrinth must be something that should literally be spoken of as the hero Tan.

But those heroes were already lost from the world due to the side effects of the forbidden potion.

Surviving, they are loose shells that inherited only the memories of the heroes, with no power left over even the labyrinth.

General Leo and his soldiers, who became hundreds of warriors.

As witnesses of the past and storytellers of the hero Tan, they are only going to tell the story of this labyrinth to their later generations.

The lion's fangs are still sleeping in the labyrinth. "

"Well, there's more or less."

"To the extent that the truth is mixed, isn't it?

Weishardt hammers with Leonhardt, who holds a letter from his son in his own room at Labyrinth Crusade Army Base and mentions' Golden Lion's Fang Sleeps in the Labyrinth '.

Of course, we both know what this play is about.

Since the crusade of the Labyrinth, I haven't had time to go to the Imperial City to watch a play or anything, but this play means a lot to those involved in the crusade of the Labyrinth, so I sewed between busy times and directed Weishardt himself.

"So, brother, what's in the letter?

To Weishardt's question, Leonhardt turns his attention again to a letter from his son who watches The Golden Lion's Fang Sleeps in the Labyrinth.

"Apparently, he doesn't like the way it ends." My father, who was killed in the labyrinth, is still the proud hero of the Empire. "

Leonhardt laughs a little lightly at the admiration of his letting go son.

"I grew up straight."

Weishardt also smiles at the contents of the letter.

From an older young boy, you won't be convinced by this ending. The protagonist general, not to mention his esteemed father, shot the labyrinth after the ordeal. He deserves praise commensurate with his greatness as a hero, naturally.

In fact, if Leonhardt's strength hadn't been diminished by the side effects of premium Regeneration pills, Leonhardt would have been recruited as a general by the emperor's army and he would have been heavily treated.

If Leonhardt had A-rank strength, his army would transform into an A-rank group with the effect of Lion Roar, even if it was a B-ranked group of strong men. Even in the Empire there are numerous B-ranks of strength, but the number of A-ranks is small.

Precisely as a thousand armies, Leonhardt-led armies must have continued to defeat enemies hostile to the Empire.

Praise throughout the empire and continue to bathe in the blood of its enemies. Literally until that day when your life will be crushed.

"Just being straight doesn't survive the rest of the world. I have to teach you how to fight without a sword."

When Leonhardt folded the letter from his son into an envelope, he put it in a drawer that looked important. The expression is calm in a harsh tone and back, with even a grin on his mouth.

Now Leonhardt has only about B-rank strength due to the side effects of premium Regeneration drugs. Because of the number of strong men in the B rank, his army is strong, but he was reluctant to boast a military force that could not fly in the Empire.

The feat of destroying the labyrinth, which was a matter of 200 years' suspension, was highly regarded and Leonhardt was given the honor and praise commensurate by the emperor, but the treatment is already in the past, as the play sings. The lion's fangs fell asleep in the depths of the doomed labyrinth.

The fact gave more than a certain relief to the nobles of the Imperial capital who feared that the unplugged forces that had been tied to the labyrinth would rise to the Imperial capital.

While it is with their mouths that they praise Leonhardt and others as heroes, they feel pity, joy and relief that their power is a thing of the past and that they will continue to protect the land by the demonic forest as a wall of the Empire.

"I learned by my mentor that the definition of success in life varies from person to person."

Behind the thoughts of the nobles of the Imperial capital, Leonhardt was badly satisfied with the current situation, which allowed him to remain in the labyrinth city. If things get a little more stable, my wife will come here too. There will be a new life for Leonhardt, who knew only to fight.

If it was Leonhardt before he met Mariella and the others, it would be on the path of glory and blood that he would have seen his life succeed after killing the Labyrinth and destroying the Empire's enemies as a general serving the Emperor.

"Weiss, I guess glory is all about success in life.

We prayed to kill the labyrinth, and we continued to challenge it for 200 years to make it. I see, this could be called one success. But what about our fathers, whose lives were crushed in the middle of the road, who fought together and scattered without killing the labyrinth? Are they losers?

They didn't give up. I kept trying. Therefore we prevailed.

Then this is the success of all of us, including them, who have scattered, and they may also be one of the heroes who killed the labyrinth. "

Leonhardt speaks to Weishardt looking out the window at the soldiers who encourage him to train.

At the base, Dick joins soldiers weakened by the side effects of premium Regeneration drugs to encourage rigorous training. Dick himself is depressed that the side effects of the premium Regeneration (Regeneration) drug have made him quite vulnerable, and he is desperately training.

According to Mallow, everything Dick loses to his wife Amber in a fight because of the side effects of the premium Regeneration (Regeneration) drug. All the hands I reached out to stumble on are scratched (stuck) and inevitable, and even though I know they're gonna piss me off, I'm like, "Sit there!" He can't resist his voice.

"Maybe not only is it fast, but the magic resistance is dropping."

And he talked to me seriously, but Dick has been well embedded by Amber since the beginning and I haven't been able to beat him once, so I wonder if I'll measure the degree of weakening there.

Although the degree and seriousness were different for each person, I wholeheartedly agreed with Leonhardt when he also looked at the soldiers who encouraged him to train every day in an effort to recover what he had lost as soon as possible.

"Yes, brother. This victory will be the success of a labyrinth city with 200 years of history."

If this triumph is what we can all achieve, what did those who have been confronted with the Labyrinth for 200 years fight for? It must not be in order to obtain the praise of the nobles of the Empire who have never seen their faces. So the brothers seemed heartily so that it was the greatest praise for Leonhardt and others that such calm days came to the end of a rugged and painful battle with their praises and other greatly worthless things.

Nevertheless, in The Lion's Fang Sleeps in the Labyrinth, which is performed in Imperial Capital, General Leo's end doesn't look very happy.

The only thing left at the disposal of the protagonist of the story, General Leo, is the 'glory of the past' from the moment he kills the labyrinth, and the Queen of the Spirit, who made him even anticipate a love affair with General Leo in the play, will not lend her any help. I also used the nucleus of the labyrinth. Shooting the labyrinth brought the city back to human territory, but peace was not guaranteed, as the demonic shadow implied. Even though the danger hasn't left, the side effects of the forbidden potion have reduced the fighting power of General Leo and the soldiers.

It is a curtain pull that cannot be described as a very happy ending.

Anyone who watches this play will feel less convincing and refreshed than those who are emotionally attached to the protagonist, General Leo.

Most importantly, it was this glitzy way of ending that made this theatre a factor that gained popularity for a long time, and above all, what Leonhardt and others intended.

"Now both the Sexually Evil Nobles of the Empire will be quiet for a while."

"Yep. There will be no one to play this game, but there will be reports from the inspectors."

Neither Leonhardt, who shot the labyrinth, nor the city of the labyrinth, who lost the labyrinth, is worth a whiff anymore.

It was the true purpose of this play that made the people of the Empire think that way.

There were several challenges in the labyrinth city where the threat of a labyrinth had left.

To the credit of Leonhardt and others, some give (slightly) a smile to grace, and some try to obstruct them in the hope of losing their legs out of jealousy. I don't have time to deal with such an elephant.

Although the labyrinth was a threat, it was also a treasure trove of demonic materials, medicinal herbs and many other resources, so it would be one of the major challenges that labyrinth cities need to change the form of industry as they deplete.

Cut open farmland around the labyrinth city and develop streets with the Imperial City to trade demonic forest materials.

The labyrinth city, which has returned to the realm of man, does not have the absolute protection of the Spirit, as it did during the period of the Kingdom of Endalgia, but the demonic habitat is moving towards the back of the demonic forest, and the degree of danger has retreated from the state in which demons like those camped in the demonic forest appear in our faces until now, to the same extent as other villages facing the demonic forest.

It will also be possible to produce the necessary food in labyrinth cities, since demons will rarely appear on farmland even at noon anymore.

Demon hunting grounds, herbs and other collecting places change from a labyrinth to a demon forest. This is also something that the adventurers of the period of the Kingdom of Endalgia did, which has no exceptional flavour, but is not a particularly difficult business. This is still happening in villages around the Devil's Forest.

Leonhardt has many subordinates who rely on him, including Weishardt, although it is a great change and thus a showcase of the political skill of the Schusenwald Border House.

It's not something you can't accomplish if it's them who defeated the labyrinth together.

Besides, unlike in the past, there are many alchemists in this city.

"Speaking of inspectors, it was a masterpiece when we talked about alchemists."

"Yeah, really."

Leonhardt and Weishardt remembered what the inspector looked like when asked about the alchemist who created Elixir, and they laughed.

"By the way, this is for Little Ear, but you think the Alchemist participated in the crusade for the Labyrinth? Where is he now?

The inspector, who had an unnatural cut out, was a nobleman famous for his rare sturdiness in the capital. It must have been the emperor's enthusiasm to send the bribe and other filthy men to the inspector. The first dispatch of this inspector to the labyrinth city, which had just killed the labyrinth and was valued for its value, allowed him to restrain the frivolous aristocracy that was trying to raze the unstable labyrinth city.

"This is quick for you. Without that alchemist, and without the miracle drug Potion, we wouldn't have been able to kill the labyrinth and purify the veins, and we wouldn't have been able to bring a new alchemist to this labyrinth city so quickly."

Leonhardt responds to the Inspector's question by adding the information "The birth of a new alchemist". This was information I had to pass on.

"New Alchemist......?

"Even so. After the crusade of the Labyrinth, he took several disciples and gave birth to a new alchemist in the land. Weiss, how many were there now?

"Ha. I thought you were the 78th today."

Seventy-eight. The inspector raised his voice when he heard this glittering number, slightly changing his complexion.

"Seventy-eight!? So many?

Don't you know Sir? Alchemists give their disciples their experience when they make them contract their veins.

With so many contracts, that alchemist turns his power away greatly and will never be able to make Elixir again!

Again? Leonhardt and Weishardt understood the true purpose of his visit to the labyrinth city in what the inspector said. Measure the power of the Alchemist (Mariella) to reveal Elixir's secrets.

"Yeah, that's certainly a shame, because this is a promise I made with the nobles of this city for the crusade of the labyrinth, and more importantly, what the alchemist wanted.

Sometimes we can't rely on just one person to supply potion in this city.

In the first place, if the elixir could be made without its ingredients, it would be impossible to make it. We believe this is a beneficial and reasonable choice for labyrinth cities. "

"……, what exactly is Elixir's ingredient?

An inspector who switches to substitute information in advance of the unexpected fact that a high-ranking alchemist who can make elixirs can take his disciples and greatly reduce their abilities, and can no longer make elixirs. Originally, alchemists could not use alchemy away from the ground pulse, so gathering information might have been the purpose.

Of course, if it is an available material, it is.

"Is this Elixir material? It's the nucleus of the labyrinth."

The nucleus of the labyrinth.

It's not something that's readily available.

Shooting a shallow, young labyrinth of hierarchies is not available, and a growing labyrinth close to fifty levels is difficult to crusade itself.

And the extremely high proficiency of the alchemist who can create it...

How miraculous the odds are, such as meeting the conditions Elixir gets.

Wasn't it a miracle or coincidence that the earth pulse was the inevitable that Endalgia had led? Beyond the tragedy of the Devil's Forest Flood (Stampede), that Alchemist (Mariella) woke up to the land 200 years later, and even met a spiritual Endalgia blood-drawer named Siegmund and saved his life, I can't help but think that it would have been possible without some special trick.

If a man drinks an elixir in his own body, he may transcend even the existence of a man, and gain untouched power and eternal life as the keeper of the earth's veins. However, it did not seem to Leonhardt to have crushed out the likeness of the Lord of the Labyrinth that in the first place a dwarf being called man could have formed a great thing, such as the management of the earth's veins.

Inspectors seemed to embrace a series of miracles as defined destiny in the way Leonhardt and others embrace the treasure of Elixir, which will never be available again, without sparing even the present state of diminishing ability of the alchemist who led to the supremacy.

"Is that so? Was it from the beginning……………………."

The inspector stayed in the labyrinth city for the next few days and made an unscathed inspection before returning to the Empire.

He will report that this labyrinth city has become a mediocre city, spending everything it can have and killing labyrinths, both of its formidable armies and its supreme alchemists.

And the theatre to be performed in Imperial Capital will transform the story of the labyrinth city into a hero, Tan, who also resembles a tragedy, while successfully hiding the existence of Mariella, "The Wise Man of Flame Disaster" and "The Vacancy".

Neither Leonhardt nor Mariella, nor the soldiers of the Labyrinth Crusade, have spared a little of what this Labyrinth City could have spent and consumed, and I am terribly satisfied that I have gained the days of peace that I have long desired for 200 years.
