The Little Duchess’ Home Tutor

Episode 3: Job Description

Make him give up enrollment in the Royal School.

I can see the opposite. So far, I've had a few of those stories, and I've let them pass safely.

But I've never made you give up. Naturally.

"No magic talent, what do you mean?

"Keep it up. Tina can't even activate simple basic magic at that age. There is magic itself. That's more than me or my oldest daughter. So far, I've had many famous magicians look for causes... I don't know."

"The Royal School assumes that it has a magical talent, but in recent years it has allowed enrollment if it has significant talent in other fields. And that's potential, too."

"While my daughter, Tina is an excellent, very sweet child in academia. But even though the amount of magic is enormous, it's not a warm place there enough to allow those who don't know when they'll be able to use it. Especially since you're afraid of being out of standard."

…………

The Royal School is famous for being one of the best in the kingdom. Naturally, the talent that comes together runs out of excellence. Students studied academia, magic, and swordsmanship for three years.

But a few years ago, in its fame, there was a turmoil.

Two students graduated in just one year.

Moreover, one of them had grown into one of the kingdom's foremost magicians at the time of graduation, even though he could not properly use magic before enrollment.

... No, well, it's rotten with me - my oldest daughter at the Duke of Linster's house, Lydia. He's the only one who's out of standard. I just got caught up.

"Me too, I hear Miss Lydia. But in her case, it wasn't until after school that she could use magic properly. Besides, I survived the entrance exam almost exclusively with swordsmanship."

"It's a fact. Sure, it was after school that he was able to use his magic - precisely after he met me. Although swordsmanship has been super first-class from the beginning."

"Still, I hear she could have used basic magic. But Tina..."

Lydia basically didn't like the details, and the inability to use magic seemed to me to have problems with the way teachers were taught before school.

Originally, qualities remind me that the day after I taught the trick so much, I was happily using advanced magic. It was a revelation then.

Still, some basic magic, such as lighting a candle, could be used.

Her Royal Highness can't use magic even though she has magic - it could be a challenge.

"Tina is a responsible child. I take it for granted that I am admitted to the Royal School to fulfill that duty more than I was born in us. But I... don't mind going the other way."

"And say?

"It would be quicker for you to have a look. Come with me."

With that said, the Duke heads to the door. I rushed after him.

It was not the main mansion of the mansion that was taken away.

I sweat to take you closer. It's hot.

"Is it a greenhouse? There's no such thing as the King's Capital."

"I study well. Other than magic, there seems to be no falsehood in the story of exposition."

"Your Highness has this?

"That's right. She's been interested in crops since she was a little girl."

It's as amazing as ever that a grand aristocrat would create a massive institution with his daughter's interests.

But I agree with what you're doing.

Her Royal Highness is not the only one who focuses on how she can successfully grow crops in Snow Country.

Oh...... I see.

"Your Eminence wants His Highness to continue this research, so that's what they think."

"... as he said, good guess. Exactly. At least the research that that kid started has led him to produce crops that he has never been able to make in our territory. I want you to continue your research here, both from the point of view of your lord and as a father."

This also pushed me harder than I thought. Was the recognition sweet?

My father wants me to move on to crop research, which I already have a proven track record of, and my daughter, who aspires to Royal School with her family name in mind. What do you want me to do about it?

... Professor. You made me hurry up knowing I'd say no when I asked.

"May I confirm one thing"

Say it.

"I understand your sentiments. But in my personal opinion - I think we should go the way His Highness wants us to go. If you can handle magic and it meets with enough for Royal School enrollment"

I say looking directly into the Duke's eyes.

"Still, if you wish to be admitted to the Royal School, I would like your permission"

"... you're a clear man, you are"

"I'm being asked to play a part in the loss."

"Okay. If Tina can use her magic with your help, then I'll use every means at my disposal, but I'll give her a push. I swear to God, my wife is dead now."

"Thank you. So, if there is."

Laughs intentionally. Isn't that funny?

When Lydia was there, she simply corrected that she was not comfortable with it.

This time, do something about a girl who can't use magic for unexplained reasons.

Inside, it looks like it's worth teaching. If there is magic, there must be a reason.

Challenging the Unknown is fun all the time.

"Let's do something about it. This is still the brainchild of the sword princess. I think I can help."
