The Little Duchess’ Home Tutor

Episode 5: At the Cafe

"I'm sorry. I'm so full right now... may I have your seat?"

Mr. Paolo recommended the cafe was crowded.

It's the first time I've encountered so many people today, though I've toured so many different places.

Ask the young lady with a rotten edge with a brand new ribbon on her forehead and a thin purple cloth embroidered with beautiful texts around her head.

"Lydia, Atra, are you okay in your seat?

"I don't care...... eh" ""

Very upbeat, the two of them halfway up empty admit it.

I turn to the clerk. [M]

"I'll be fine in my seat"

"Thank you. Come here."

Lead the way, go to the store.

Wood is the tone of the interior. None of this is old. Even if it's a conditioner, it's not cheap as one. Coffee sounds like a delicious shop, so I'm looking forward to it.

"Please take this seat"

It was the window seat that guided me.

This cafe is located near the harbor, so the view is excellent.

Meet the old man with glasses wearing a hat and reading the newspaper, who was sitting there first.

"Excuse me."

"Oh, I don't mind."

The old man treated the newspaper and smiled at us.

Hair except from the side of the hat is slightly lighter water-colored gray hair. Deeply intelligent in the eyes enclosed in depth and rigour.

I pull the chair. I sit Lydia first, next to her.

Atra stares at the old man. Apparently, he cares about the colorful candy balls placed in front of the old man.

The old man grinned, took some and handed them to the young girl.

"Fine. But can I thank you?

- Thank you.

"You're welcome, my dear lady."

Atra laughed joyfully and climbed onto my lap.

He puts out a candy ball on the table, shines his eyes, rocks his beast ears and tail, and pokes. Adorable.

- When I finished ordering coffee, the old man spoke to me.

"You guys, from what I've seen, are you sightseeing? Insane in this day and age. Oh, my name is Pirlo. How many years have you been born in this city this year? tries not to count after fifty years"

"It's Allen. This is Lydia. This girl says," Atra. "

"Ugh," she said, still touching the ribbon on her forehead. Introducing my lady in the sky and a toddler obsessed with candy balls.

Mr. Pirlo smiles calmly.

"At that age, I didn't know you had such a beautiful wife and such an adorable child... don't want to ask me a few questions about what merits you've had in your previous life"

"Haha, haha..."

Even if you deny it here, laugh and delude it because it makes the story crazy. I've been running away. No, no, that's a run off.

Whatever it is, look out the window. Some of the colors on the roof had changed subtly. They repainted it from the top.

Mr. Pirlo continues.

"How about the water capital? Born here, raised here, as a born water capitalist, I just want to hear your opinion from the outside."

"One word. I didn't throw them away, either."

"... not a bad answer"

The old man blew his face happy.

As I stroke Atra's head, I tell her.

"At least, you're less discriminating against beasts than you are against kingdoms. That would be because the historical context is properly handed down. It's easy to say, but it's hard to continue. I think the great people who rule this land are superior for the rest of their lives. At least for me, it's a big deal that this kid walked all day and didn't feel bad."

"I see."

An old man narrowed his eyes and looked at Atra. All that's there is charity.

- Coffee came out.

Mr. Paolo, according to the note, "The Supreme Cup of the Water Capital". Looking forward to it.

Atra touches a glass of fruit water where ice is floating, keeping her face close or away.

The rotten edge next door.

"Mmm."

"Uh, yes, yes."

I take a few sips.

Aromatic and deep aroma. This is... great.

Think a little, add just a little milk, to the corrosive edge.

And Lydia drinks my coffee, as if it were natural.

An old man, with a slightly surprised look, explains himself.

"Excuse me. This guy's a little bad at coffee and tea he drinks outside. One drink, please, because I'll leave it behind. This is the cup. It's a sin to leave behind."

"I see. Do you have any idea where this bean comes from?

"Is it a southern island country?

"Correct. … but if we keep this up, we may not be able to drink anymore"

"? Why not??

The old man's voice darkens.

Distressed by that look.

"With you, may I ask? Right now, our Union is waking up with the Duke of Linster family in the Kingdom. It's not a big war... and I don't know how to fall. And Linster's" power "is not something that each Hou Guo lacks cohesion can fathom. Old men like me know that very well. I've seen" Firebird "with these eyes.... and the people from the southern islands. They've been doing business with Linster for a long time."

"Hmm, I'm an outsider, so I can't say anything... why don't we simply reconcile? If you're great people in the water capital, I think you're thinking about it. You're not gonna make any money, are you?

It raises the most natural question.

The Union of Hokuriku is basically living off the deal.

If we continue to interact with Linster, it will be unsafe, be it by sea or land. A deal is when peace is secured.

The old man shook his clothes.

"... I can't decide on the terms of harmony - ahhh, it seems. According to this newspaper."

"Huh."

Unexpectedly subtle voice.

Precisely, I thought it was the right to use the air route with Hokukuriku, some of the main ports on one side that have caused the quarrel... is it not?

"... Allen, did you say that? What would you do? Opponents are mighty. Besides, if you're mad and the negotiations fail, you could even be burned to the water capital. Anyway, we once sent Linster's messenger."

"Dear Pirlo! After all, you were here! Please return to the Capitol!!

The voice of a sharp, simultaneously hurried woman. Behind it are some soldier-like people.

The old man exhaled a deep deep sigh.

"Looks like they found us............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Yeah, well, if you have your opinion on the terms of the pacification, you can come to this cafe any time you want."

"Oh, yes."

The old man stood up and took the slip in natural motion. They're going to luxury me.

- The signs of the people who were following us are also distracting.

The rotten edge opened its mouth.

"... light water colored hair, that was it"

"... right. Hey, Lydia."

"I don't know the details. Because."

Staring at me.

... That was not the time. Put your hands on your head.

Take the newspaper the old man left behind.

I can't help it -... let's just take a look at what that glasses girl is doing.
