# Exams (4)

Winter reminded me of an old battle in the West Pole.

But they only had the same abilities. The purpose of the test was to judge. Twenty-one feet from the firing position to the target was the line between the automated weapon and the fly. The closer you get to engage, the greater the chance of the knife catcher beating the gunman.

“If you don't mind, I'd like to go first. ”

Johanna seeks an orderly understanding.

“Why?”

In response to the interim instructor's question, the FBI investigator glanced over winter.

“I know what a midwinter lieutenant is capable of. Your next move is too risky. ”

The user switches the target and asks. Is it gonna be okay, Winter? Winter nods. The instructor accepted.

“Whatever you say, Agent Gibson. A preview is not a test to be prepared for. ”

So Joanna takes her place. Instructor tells you how to proceed.

“Fixed target tests consist of defenseless shooting, hand-to-hand shooting and rifling. Additional grades can be recorded with other specialized firearms, depending on your expectations. Please be advised that the records from this will be reflected in future operations. This is subject to the Information Ministry's mission-specific threat assessment. ”

That means the CIA agents below Chadwick decide who gets what they want and what they want. But Joanna had the right to be the overseer of all missions. Therefore, Skyler's words are interpreted as limiting the supervisory authority of the competent and the safe. It was free to transfer responsibility to intelligence agencies while handling threat assessments.

Johanna is trying to break through this deterrent with pure skill.

‘If you follow the principles and regulations, you will be overwhelmed.... It's hard to get the right kind of cooperation. I don't think the intelligence agency and the strike team are so good either. ’

How good it would be if the world went to principle. The cause was the cause, and the resistance was the resistance.

Winter reminded me of the organization here. What was on the page that passed during the briefing comes to mind with intellectual correction by Memory. It was a blurry, erased hologram image of the place. The imperfect parts could be supplemented by winter's own memories and analogies.

The hierarchy was not clear. Command has been with the head of the intelligence agency, Chadwick, but strikers other than White Skull have always been different. In other words, the leadership of the team leader was at the level of seeking the cooperation of the strike team. In a good way, it's a horizontal relationship, and in a bad way, it's a loose relationship.

Given the importance of the mission, I wonder how this scheme was created.

‘The more important it is, the more people will want to interfere. ’

It could be a leadership dispute between the Ministry of Defense and the intelligence agency, or it could be a phenomenon that reflects an underestimated status of the CIA. What is the value of traditional international espionage in the world view of the coming apocalypse? In addition, most of the network of organizations that had been built globally would have collapsed and would have lost that much manpower.

There may still be active agents. There are many countries seeking U.S. support, and it would be important to know their situation. There was also a need to collect information on special variants distributing overseas. These were the reasons for the CIA's survival.

“I'm ready.”

Joanna's voice behind the target. She holds her hands high above her head. The pistol was held in a holster. Pose and condition assuming complete defenseless. Flexibility off her shoulders shows her skill level. It was also called relaxation from a tense state.

Lieutenant Skyler turns the remote around.

Stretched silence flows.

Pic

Bloop! The sound of a pistol hitting a holster. Joanna flips like a broken video. As soon as the arm that was pulled out reached straight, the line of sight was exactly eye height. A sparkling flame. It puffs and pierces the target. It was a crucial edge that was illuminated in red.

Phew. Take a deep breath, and she checks the time. The timer responded to the gunshot and recorded the time.

“0.92 seconds. Fail. ”

Skyler has declared calmness.

I thought winter was a harsh criterion. It takes an average of 1.5 seconds for an adult man to run 21 feet. It took about the same amount of time to aim and shoot with a pistol. So if it's less than that time to draw your gun and turn around and aim for the critical point, you're already an experienced marksman.

Joanna's record, 0.92 seconds, is about 60% of 1.5 seconds. In other words, even with simple calculations, it was possible to take a single shot at enemies within and outside of 13 feet.

I don't know if the hypothetical enemy is an Olympic athletic gold medalist.

The White Skull said no one exceeded 0.8 seconds, but the winter was doubtful.

“I'll try again. ”

Skyler nods when Joanna asks. Her skills were surprisingly well noticed.

Target has been repositioned. The purpose is to prevent record shortening with the memory of the body.

Whew! Joanna's preparing quiets down. Concentrated convergence from head to toe.

Pic

Glug! Glug! It seemed like the wind was blowing. The instant the rifle bounces, the target swings. The new hole was closer to the center than before. Winter detected a shortened interval. Decrease enough to blink. However, in practice, it was a short time to die.

Lieutenant Skyler is a little preoccupied.

“…… 0.84 sec. It's a no.”

Joanna shows a short emotion, whether she thought this was the right time. T. A slide slammed into my forehead and pistol. Knock a few times.

The broad view of winter saw reactions she couldn't see, obsessed. Surprises pretending to be calm.

The FBI agent has been challenged several times since then. In this trial, however, the 0.01-second drop down to less than one second was an area in which global experts argued over innate qualities.

In repeated attempts, Joanna did not cross the 0.84 second wall.

In practice, it is a record of stabbing and killing an enemy coming within three feet. Excellent at pulling and firing a gun at point-blank range if the enemy is in front of you.

Though I did not cross the acceptance line, I was not aware of the White Skull crew here. I knew it. Winter was right. Even if 0.8 seconds is true, it will be the best story of the individual.

Johanna accepts the incomplete record and asks you to prepare for the next step. Appropriateness depends on the method. She was a self-absorbed woman.

"Was this training originally called Tueller Drill? ’

Winter stumbled upon the memory of a time that could not stop the end. It was one of the officers at the Critical Survivor Node who first showed you this training. Teaching him marksmanship in winter, he told me he used to work at the home of the Tueller Drill.

It was Salt Lake City. When Winter heard that, she wondered. Isn't that where the Palestinian Church is based? I didn't know security was bad enough for this kind of training.

In saying this, the officer who no longer remembers his name bursts into laughter. You said there'd never be a more boring and quiet city. In short, there were only two policemen who died on duty in the 2000s. Sergeant one, detective one. It's a great record in a free country.

He once again said that this shooting technique was originally designed to avoid shooting.

“Sweetheart, this is, quite simply, a kind of discipline. The more you get used to this training, the more confident you are that you won't have to shoot anyone 21 feet out. It was originally designed to reduce police misuse of firearms, and it was also suggested that civilians should also use firearms to reduce overdefense. There's a paper difference between murder and political defense. Well, that's what people do, isn't it? It's hard to see the effects if you're not skillfully skilled... ”

Regardless of the original intent, however, it is now recognized as one of the major combat skills. Even Joanna's acceptance is far from a pure Tueller drill. It was not a drill that required a critical hit in the first place.

Of all the things humans have made, what was left of their original intentions?

Winter swept through several cases. Postmortem insurance was one of them.

I'm getting a rush here. Isn't this the difference between one person and one person? People can be pure, but people can't be pure. The more people there are, the further away they are from people.

You settle down here, and the winter laughs inside. I just wanted to believe in people's nature. There's still hope out there. There was no basis, except for one rose.

Heave-ho. The sound of the pistol slide pulling awakens your attention. Johanna, with a handgun in her hands, waits for a signal with her torso tilted forward. It's still a marksmanship test against a fixed target. It was different from the first time that it started with a pistol.

The timer cries. Half-round Joanna pulls the trigger with one hand. Taang! The ballistics are hitting the target. Time was 0.82 seconds. The steps drawn from the holster were omitted and not much time decreased.

Retry, Retry, Retry, Retry.

Hands are faster than eyes. It took more time to aim than to pull out.

In fact, with Joanna's skill level, the role of the eye has been greatly diminished. As winter relies on technology correction, it relies on carved experience in the body. Visuals are merely perceived targets, and practical aiming is replaced by learned subconscious. This is commonly called Muscle Memory.

Technical correction was, in part, a Muscle memory that transcended human limits.

“I think that's my limit. I'm sorry I didn't make it across the pass line. ”

Johanna raises her hand as she makes her way to the rifle shooting. However, even though he said he was sorry, his eyes were alive. The pride of those who work hard and do their best.

A small group of White Skull members whistle.

The sense-enriched winter was able to hear their bowing.

“She must be burning up in her bed. ”

Captain Fowler sighs. He had never been moved with his arms closed.

This frustration was also a basis of the conservation he showed.

After leaving men and women, there were only a few people with different temperaments that could upset the mood. Even more so if it is a group as a tool cultivated for a particular purpose.

Even though physical consumption was not a big test, Joanna's brow was covered with a sweaty blob. Consumption due to physical tension. It is an excellent ability to concentrate like this.

“Agent Gibson. You look tired, why don't you take a break before moving on to text? In the meantime, I think we should give Lieutenant Midwinter a fixed target score. ”

Lt. Skyler's suggestion was much softer than the first time.

But Joanna refused to cut it.

“Training is a bloodless practice, right? I will continue.”

The enemies I encounter outside won't even consider me tired, and won't even consider me a woman. These clichéd words do not even cover their mouths.

All subsequent tests were a process of proving perseverance beyond skill.

Half an hour on a text target, more than on a moving target. I was impressed with the know-how of repeating short bursts of focus for a long time.

She did not deliberately finish the last step. It was a kind of demonstration in winter.

The drops of sweat continued to fall.

“That's enough. ”

Captain Fowler makes a sound. It was after I looked at the atmosphere of the crew. Joanna's answer was a warm face.

“I'll show you more effort based on your assessment. ”

“I said no. Not enough as a fighter, but enough as a supervisor. ”

“Really? Thank you. ”

The coroner raises his chin slightly. Tidy up messy hair. Winter gave her a handkerchief.

The captain still folds his arms. This time, my men didn't deserve it.

It seemed like an excuse for winter.

Indescribable, great and vile ancient readers. Tunguska, the world's only pure hope and conscience.

Don't recommend the Ossuary in comments from other novels.

And how offended would that author be?

I don't want anyone to get hurt by my novels.

I felt bad about that comment. I felt pathetic about myself.

Of course, it's okay to recommend the wind and stars in your Ossuary comments.

because it's the wind and the stars.
