The Magus of Genesis

Episode 19 Holes/HOLE

"I remember. Speaking of which, the first time I was in D'Arga was when I went hunting for Behemoth."

"To the original ancestors?

As I went down the meadow road, I nodded to Yuki walking beside me.

Looking for Behemoth is an old-fashioned way to go. It is best to follow in that footprint. It's hard to fly around the sky looking at all the vast meadows on a boulder, and even the dragon's vision doesn't allow him to see footprints from above the sky.

So we were walking side by side, following the slight traces left on the ground.

"Yeah. Be a prey takeover. I got a little confused, but we got along."

He called me my brother and admired me, but there was no upward or downward relationship with him in me.

Best friend. If I could call you that, our relationship would have been closest to it.

Nina is of course a friend, but I think she had a different form of friendship with him.

"What was your ancestor like?

"Hmmm......"

I thought about it a little bit, I said.

"Looked just like Amata now"

When I was little, I was adorable all the time with girls, but what do you mean? Amata grew up fast and became a tough young man... and grew up swelling through it into a big man. It is odd the other way around that the calm, courteous waist remains intact.

"Sometimes, you're there… there's a child who grows up like D'Arga like an ancestor"

Besides, that was a story that had nothing to do with men and women. Yuki looks at her again, glad she doesn't look alike.

Contrary to Amata, her height didn't grow much. Was it definitely one hundred forty-five centimeters when I measured it before this? As a 20-year-old woman, she's also low in this world.

Though his innocent and pleasant personality remains almost intact, his boyishness like it once was completely out of the question. That's probably because of hair that stretches up to your hips even though you tie two knots...

It could have been because of the breasts that grandly claim its existence.

"Hmm?"

Notice my gaze, Yuki turns around and laughs. That was unexpectedly mature and I looked away unexpectedly.

"Oh, there he is, brother."

I wonder, the trick to find Behemoth and pull my clothes gougly while shaking is the child himself. People get older and older as they repeat adults and children like pendulums in this way. That's how they leave me.

"Brother?

"Yeah. Well, let's go."

I nod hastily at her as she peeks into her face wondering.

That's what I've been telling you.

"Ugh."

Yuki nodded and jumped on my back. What an embarrassment the feeling of soft limbs sticking together. I hurried back to the dragon.

Behemoth is right about Lynn, a creature who really doesn't run away. I try to escape if I get wounded by a boulder, but I don't even wander as close as people get. Well, if it's that figure, that skin hardness, then I don't know what other carnivores are afraid of.

Even when a sudden red dragon appeared in front of him, Behemoth didn't try to escape at all because he was a smaller creature than himself. Bold or mypace...... so they hunt me lightly, so I might as well just say dumb.

"Come on, Yuki, please"

"Ugh."

Nodding, Yuki puts a spear across my head.

Thou shalt be long, and sharp, and pierced all things. Be a sparkling star that you cannot aim for and prevent, if you are a spear without pairs!

The spear thrown with the spell pierces Behemoth's ass as he pulls a shining tail on the chanted street. As soon as he did, he raised his voice and Behemoth moved slowly.

He's on the run...... I know he's going to, but that leg moves too slowly. Of course, the speed itself is quite high because the body is very large, but it doesn't look like it's in a hurry.

"Nina, can you hear me? I found Behemoth. I'm gonna kick you out now."

Running snuggly...... no, I magically got in touch with Behemoth as he walked away.

"Okay. But not in the same direction. A little more to the left."

Uh, why is it normally reverse position-detected?

Well, it's only because it's Nina...

As I followed Nina's navigation and had Yuki throw a spear several times to drive Behemoth in the direction, I saw a huge wall stretching across the horizon. Nina's made it, it's a wooden cage.

Of course, it is easily destroyed in just a cage. I had some ideas to prevent sabotage. It's a long, spear-like marutai that grew inside the cage.

If you try to advance, it won't spare you a stab. It's actually a suspicious place to actually stab at the iron-like skin of Behemoth, but it teaches the pain of pointy things with Yuki's throwing spear. I was expecting you to stay on guard.

"I'm in!

Finely adjust the direction and push Behemoth into the cage. I was afraid that the cage might be a little narrow for the body, but Behemoth walked right into it. And you alerted to the spear-like thorns lining up there, or you stop the legs that kept moving.

Did you do it............!?

The next moment he thought so, Behemoth opened his mouth wide, hitting a protruding tree and chewing it burly.

He also stuck to the cage itself, and when he ate it deliciously, he walked away. We just had to watch it quietly.

"... Behemoth eats trees..."

Yuki whispers in a whisper on his back.

"Sure..."

I realized that I had never even known the edibility of behemoth before.

Well, suppose you can't raise them even if they catch you.

"… Well, if you're going to eat a tree, you're not going to have any trouble feeding it."

"So you're still not going to give up."

I shrugged and Nina told me.

"No, but I feel like I can go somehow"

Until now, the animals have escaped with or without their presence. But Behemoth stopped at least. I feel a lot easier than deer and goats.

"For example, make it from a tree so hard that the behemoth cannot be eaten………"

"Dr. Nina, can you get a harder tree out than that?

"I can't."

Hearing my proposal, Sig asks, and Nina immediately cuts it off.

The wooden cage was not made by cutting out the forest trees, but by magic from Nina. It's impossible to cut out the amount that surrounds the behemoth and make a cage overnight on a boulder. But using Nina's power from "Fall Zero" wasn't that difficult.

If she says she can't do it, she can't do it.

"Even if you eat it, make it into a tree that doesn't taste good……………"

"Why not just spit it out and break it without swallowing it?

"What about thorning more finely"

"Thin thorns don't seem to hurt. Even Behemoth is stiff."

"Who's in front of the cage, and when you approach the cage, you poke him with a spear?

"Who does that role..."

Luca, Mr. Purple, Yuki and I will come up with one proposal after another, but Sig will deny all of it. That said, he's not adding difficulty either.

"So what if it's made of stone, not wood?

"Such a big stone, nowhere...... no, but is there only a tip to be made of stone? Like a real spear."

Thinking a little about Lynn's suggestion, Sig asked me that.

As I've figured out lately, he's very good at cleaning out shortcomings in the draft, filling holes, and building practical means. Lynn comes up with a flexible idea, and Sig takes it shape. Such sights are becoming commonly seen.

"Stone may not be durable enough………"

I don't know.

I thought it was a good idea, and Sig drops his shoulder.

But I was thinking the exact opposite.

"Conversely, if you can only manage endurance, you can do it. If anything is stiffer, tougher and sharper than stone."

"Is there such a thing?

"Yeah."

I know it exists.

Metal.

"The problem is... you don't know how to hold it."

The use of metals has been considered several times before. It's a transition from stoneware to bronze. Well, I don't know if there's any copper in this world.

But I had no idea how to dig that from the mine. No way. You can't dig a rock with a wooden tsuruhashi. Even stoneware is difficult.

I think I need a metal vessel to dig, but I was faced with the problem of whether the chicken was first or the egg first.

How the hell did it happen on Earth?

"Do you know where it is?

"Oh. In the mountains...... really, inside. Digging the mountain and coming out of it... I think."

Nor is that a proven story. What mountain is iron or copper coming out of, and what mountain is it not coming out of? Because that kind of knowledge doesn't refresh me.

"What do you think... Well, if you make a hole in the mountain, you come out, it's not just about picking it up"

"Where?

Asked, Nina pointed behind my back.

It is the magnificent mountain that stands there. Hole Mountain, the mountain we call it.

Because the name comes from a simple, pompous tunnel-like hole in the middle belly.

"Oh......"

And I'm the one who made that hole.

About five hundred years ago now. Five hundred and eight years ago, to be exact.

In the battle with D'Arga, angry I vacated it with a brace, it was a big hole.
