The Magus of Genesis

Episode 21: Magic Team/Magic Circle

That was one day about a week after I discovered Hihirokane.

"Hey, let it go! Try it!

Turning to the shitty sound of a bullet and the pleasant voice of Lynn, she literally jumps.

"Lynn!? What's wrong?

I opened my eyes to surprise as I reflexively embraced her body.

There's no way a wheelchair girlfriend can jump.

"Eh heh. This, this!

Look at her fingertips just leaving. Then there it was, a big hip fin spreading like a skirt. It had been ten years since we met, and it had grown a lot. I was able to walk somewhat these days, but that's clearly bigger than it was until yesterday in front of me.

"Rapid Growth......!?

"You know, this, uh, Sig built the sword, right?

On a topic that flew abruptly, I nod.

"I changed shape, I thought I could do it, and when I did, I could do it"

To briefly explain Lynn, I lost my word.

If you look at the lower back fin often when you are told, the number of annual wheels remains the same although it is getting bigger.

"… Lynn. Please, when you do magic to your body, when you're with me."

"Okay -!

Lynn raises her hand vigorously. I'm being honest with you.

Suddenly, human experimentation on its own means thoughtfulness or not knowing fear……

"What is Shisei-san doing? What is it?"

Leaning her body to the side, Lynn listened as she peeked behind me.

What was there was like a calf made of unclean soil.

There are pocky holes in the hemispherically raised mass of soil, and the flames are burning in it.

"This is a kiln."

In a recent matter, it turns out that metal is present in large quantities close to you. But it's not like I didn't have a problem. The majority of the gatherings were not in the state of crystals as found in Mount Hole, but in the state of ore mixed with rocks.

"Now I'm just trying to melt the hihi-irokane and get it out..."

To remove only pure metal from it, you just have to melt it... I think. The reason would be that the metal dissolves at a lower temperature than the rock, so if it heats up, only the metal part dissolves out. Maybe.

It was this dressed kiln that created it with such vague knowledge.

At first, he tried to melt it by directly hitting the flame, but for the first time in a long time, the flame of all his might, which he had spit out in the figure of a dragon, had easily evaporated the whole ore of the hihighirokane.

Then, if you add or subtract it in a person's appearance and put out a fire, there is no way to dissolve it no matter how much it is heated.

I had a rough time putting out that intermediate temperature.

Anyway, magic is very difficult to provide a steady force. Although some regulation works, it is difficult to maintain a constant temperature or continue to produce a constant strength, and even if it is done, it is very tiresome. They demand extreme concentration and strength.

By analogy, it is like letting cotton wool float with your breath. You can blow your breath hard or weak. It is difficult to keep the cotton wool in a certain point in the air by blowing it with constant strength.

So I decided to rely on technology other than magic. Instead of magically heating directly, increase the temperature in the kiln and dissolve the metal. This method should allow you to raise the temperature without raising it too much…

"Wow!

Such shallow thoughts of mine dispersed with the exploding kiln.

"Wow! Now, do it again!

"That's a failure."

To Shaghulin, I dropped my shoulder and sighed.

Is the structure not good or the material not good? If you really raise the temperature somewhat, the kiln will explode before the hihi-irokane melts. It was the same thing, however cautiously and slowly the temperature was raised.

For once, the material of the kiln itself is not just dirt, but also magically reinforces the strength after thoroughly drying the clay, just like the earthenware. At least with my vague knowledge, I couldn't seem to make a kiln that would withstand the metal melting.

"Why don't you ask Luca how to do it?

"…… to Luca?

Ask the parrot back, and Lynn nods, yeah.

"Luca, I'm good at that."

Indeed, her magic is very stable. In terms of the output itself, the measurements of the second from the bottom and the next four major attributes of the sig are low. But that's hardly the brake.

Though I thought it was a personality or a pedigree, a gift of birth, maybe there's a trick to it.

"All right, let's hear it."

Head inside the school building with Lynn. She was just about to collude with the other students.

"Ah, Doctor, what's up...... WHAT!? Lynn, I'm walking myself!

"Really!

When Luca noticed this one as soon as possible, she circled her eyes at Lynn walking with Petapetta next to me.

"You, that, how did you do it!?

"It's amazing!

Opium and Lynn proudly chest up to a sig that speaks out of surprise. Apparently, Lynn came to show me the best. It's simple, but a little... No, I'm quite happy.

"Luca, I need you to tell me, do you have any tricks to stabilize the magic?

That's how I cut out to Luca after I finished showing everyone the magical achievements of a single Lynn.

"Tips......?

"Yes. Luca is very good at stabilizing magic, isn't she? I am…… like this."

Light, little light on my fingertips. When I spoke so briefly and let out the flame, a blinding light overflowed from my hand, enveloping my surroundings in an instant.

"You say fingertips!

When I hold my hand as I scream so, the light fits like a fire to be rubbed out.

"Ugh, my eyes."

"As always, the magic of the teacher is amazing."

"There's no control at all."

Have you looked directly at the light? Lynn holds her own eyes with both hands, and Mr. Purple raises her admiration. And Sig, like, sarcastically.

"Shut up. You're not even that good at sigs."

"Better than a teacher."

"Well, try it."

Encourage Sig as he slaps his hatred at each other. He undertook, "Fine," without the wind he just cared about. It can also be considered progress to be able to speak lightly in this way.

"White things, dazzling things, shining light. In my palm."

Along with the spell, a light arises in his hands. It repeatedly grew bigger or smaller as if pulsating, and eventually disappeared.

"Doesn't that make a big difference to your brother?

"Ugh..."

Hard to say, to Yuki called Zubali, me and Sig groaned at the same time.

"Okay, Luca, go ahead"

"Yeah... light."

Encouraged by Mr. Purple, try to make an obituary with both hands, and Luca casts a spell. Then that was it, and a ball of light rose in her palm. It's never too dazzling, like me, or the amount of light changes irregularly, like a sig. Above all, its form of beauty.

Luca's photosphere is almost perfectly spherical. It's like a full moon in the night sky. In comparison, the light made by Sig shifted like a flame, and its contours were vague. Probably mine from a distance, too.

Though Mr. Purple and Yuki are a lot better than us, they still don't stabilise this far.

"Okay!

Unexpectedly, Lynn raised her voice.

"If you shape this hand, you can do it well!

And he pointed Luca's neatly aligned hand.

"It's that simple..."

"Light!

Lynn imitates Luca so that she blocks Sig's words and shouts her hands together.

"You're lying......!?

"Well."

"Wow!

Sig peels off his eyes, Mr. Purple puts his hand on his mouth, and Yuki raises his voice.

What appeared there was a distorted spherical light.

It's a distortion, but it's a sphere.

When we talk about magical stability, Lynn's, it's smashing and lowly among the students. Instead, it had characteristics very similar to mine, that the output was high.

The phosphorus stabilized the magic while bending.

"Hih, light!......... Oops!

Sig immediately imitates it and aligns his hands. And he gave an exclamation to the little spherical light that was born on the palm of his hand. Mr. Purple, make sure Yuki follows it and the magic is still stable. I can't believe it was that simple.

"Light!

I am joyful and brave, hands together and shouting.

- A moment later, the classroom was surrounded by light and I couldn't see anything.

"My eyes are still ticklish............"

"No, really, I'm sorry."

I bowed my head again and again to the Yuki, who blinked sharply in his face.

Apparently, my magic was rather scattered.

The amount of light produced as a result of stabilizing and concentrating it was excessive to crush the eyes, although it was seen, and the students complained of eye discomfort after some time, even though it was quickly erased.

Is she vulnerable to the light leading up to Lynn, or is she usually healthy and neat with her eyes closed? Although I was relieved that I didn't seem to be worried about blindness...

"But I can't believe there's a difference in magic stability in the form of a hand"

Sure, magic is more or less out of my hands. It's a little out of hand, to be exact. But I've never really cared about the shape of my hands before. Everyone used magic the way they liked it in a thoughtful way, so there was no inconvenience at all.

"Somehow… I imagined it coming out like it would fit in my hand and I was using magic."

Whether her eyes had recovered or not, Luca said so while making a pair with her hands.

Indeed, her created light sphere is just about the same size as its palm.

"Oh. That's what you're talking about. When you do have something that serves as a size criterion, it's easy to do."

Mr. Purple creates the violet once more and produces light.

Because of the principle, it was even more stable than earlier.

"I see."

"Don't do it anymore!?

Sig rushes to stab the nail at me, who makes an imitation without thinking.

I will never commit the same foolishness on a boulder again.

"Size criterion ah...... how many centimeters is Luca's hand?

"Ahhh!

Yuki's casual questioning caused me to scream.

"Hey, what? Brother."

"That's it! That's it, Yuki!

I hold her hand less of an excitement and shake it up and down.

"Mr. Purple, could you please give me a shovel? Length is fine."

"Ha... go ahead"

I tie one end of the bamboo that Mr. Purple gave me to a wooden stick and tie the other end to charcoal. And when he wrote a dot on the desk with charcoal, he put up a stick of wood there, pinned and twisted, and twirled. This is, in short, an impromptu compass.

On the desk, a beautiful circle is drawn. Though I will call you freehand about this, maybe you should know the center properly.

"Luca......... no"

It is possible that Luca was originally too beautiful to tell the difference.

"Yuki. With the image that fits into this circle, could you try to shed some light?

"Yeah! - Light."

I guess she immediately guessed my intentions when I asked Yuki. Dare to point one hand at the circle and cast a short spell. Then the light rose above the circle, not from her palm. It's a beautiful light sphere, like a full moon floating in the dark.

Circle. It's the simplest magic formation.

And in this world, I intuitively realized what magic formations meant.

This is a rule for magic.

Not to measure the length, but to draw a straight line.
