The Magus of Genesis

Lesson 27 Stagnation/Stagnation

"……… OK, done!

"Yay!

I rejoiced in raising my hands in a position where Ruffle sat down to proclaim as I wiped the sweat.

"Is this really complete?

Tia, who sat down on his shoulder, asked with a strange voice.

"Oh. Now it should be okay. Hey, Ruffle."

"Yeah, I designed it not to leak water properly!

A wooden ship was created jointly by me and Ruffle.

A number of plates were applied together to make them lighter, make them perfectly precise to prevent water from leaking in, use water-resistant wood to avoid staining the body, and apply paint to increase strength.

I am anxious on my own, so I also asked Ruhul, who was good at handling wood in civil engineering and architecture, to help me, which was a confident piece that I had my heartbeat pressed for no problems.

"Phew...... well, why don't you give it a try?

"Of course. Ruffle, can I have it?

"Ha-ha."

Asked Ruffle to nod at Tia, who said surprisingly, she lifted a pair of canoes. It's like you can't lift it if it's not for a few people in a human being. It's also like a toy if it's in the hands of a giant's girlfriend.

"Come on!

The ship floats gently over the waterway.

And it sank with great momentum.

"I knew you couldn't."

"Is that what you came for?"

I shouted and fell disappointed, staring at the ship sinking to the bottom of the waterway as I knelt down on the ground.

The first ship built was flooded and sunk from just a few gaps in the bottom.

Next, as soon as it floated, a wave stood and sank, even though it was a river.

Every time I was able to sink, I improved my ship and it sank again over me, but I didn't know I'd finally be able to make it this far...

First of all, it doesn't even float, so the concept of a ship can come into being in the first place.

If I hadn't thrown it in, it would have just floated on a board of trees.

"Isn't that too much water hating you?

"Really. I wonder if it's because it's a fire dragon..."

The ship itself had been used to float and fish in ponds and cross rivers since the days of the Eye. In my case, I never used it because it was quicker to go directly into the pond or fly in the sky, so I didn't even think the water hated me this far.

"So in the end, what do you want?

Looking at the ship that sank, the leaves of the tree rush through the waterway.

After all, it's strange to see it again and again.

"Like those leaves."

I point to the flowing leaves and answer Tia.

"I want the ship floating in the water. I want to flush it."

In this world, ships do not naturally move forward. Row with oars and you will move forward, but you will not move forward even if you float or sail in a flowing river and get wind. Maybe it's the same phenomenon as not turning a water wheel.

Thanks to the waterways built by the Luffles, it's very nice to be able to easily interact with the mermaids, but there's very little we haven't been able to use as a canal with ships.

The mermaids are pulling the boat and carrying fish, but if you say so, it's manpower. It was not as efficient as the four-legged species (Centaur) pulling their luggage along the land road.

There are no beasts who will be used honestly like horses, so transport technology in this world should be much inferior to the ancient or so civilizations of the planet.

On the other hand, if you're a good wizard to some extent, you can fly in the sky, and even on foot, the distance and loads of individuals can travel in a day are not the ratio of humans on Earth, so you're winning in that place...

"I wonder why the ship doesn't flow like a leaf."

"What... isn't that what this is about?

Even though she said something strange, Tia looked at Ruffle.

No, the fact is, I guess I'm saying something crazy. Common sense in this world is more right in the sense of the Tiers.

There was so much common sense on Earth that I didn't know.

No, I'd rather say I don't know.

Why does time go only from the past to the future?

Why is there such a thing as gravity, and things fall towards the ground?

Why do creatures live and die……

No matter how far science progressed and reasoned, "Why? ♪ Stick around everywhere ♪ In the end I just have to fold" that's what it is "at some point.

… but that's not like giving up.

Even if we can't get to the absolute truth, we can keep walking towards it. And that shouldn't be a waste.

And then. I turned around and looked up at the sky at the sound of the wings that sounded unexpected.

Big white wings, but not birds.

Two to four blades were cleverly manipulated, long tailed and swimming in the sky, or no resemblance to a dragon. When it comes to dragons, it's not western dragons like me, it's oriental dragons that look close to snakes.

However, there are some things that are decidedly different from dragons.

The creature looked like a pretty girl.

As it is, I take her in reflexively, as if she were a bullet.

"Gu......! Welcome back, Lynn."

"I'm home! I'm sorry. I failed to land."

I manage to support that body while leaking a distressed voice without expecting more shock than I expected. Lynn apologized adorably as she returned wings with feathers to her arms and hips fins.

Her magic of transformation has improved a lot, too.

They can't be dragons yet, but the wings are about before breakfast. However, the bird's wings were better suited than the bat's, so she was using them all. The sky can fly without wings, but the speed is out of step.

"No, it was definitely on purpose, right now………………."

Tia squeaks watching how it goes.

"What? What? You wanted Tia to lie to you, too? I'm coming, I'm home!

"You didn't say that!? Stop it, it'll crumble!

Tia ran away from Lynn, who spread her arms wide and approached her, but quickly grabbed her and held her as if she were a stuffed animal. It wouldn't be hard to get out of Lynn if Tia meant it, so I guess it doesn't mean I don't like it.

"Ruffle, I'm home."

"Yeah, welcome back, Lynn"

Then I also hug Ruffle a lot. This one, on the contrary, is a physical difference that makes Lynn's body look like a doll.

"Any gains warm?

"Yeah. An old man drew it... what is it? A mural? What? I found it. I wasn't sure when it was painted or what it was."

Lynn seems to have been going to the village for a little while since then. They're looking for traces of eyes on my behalf. Maybe it's something I should take the initiative to look into...

Assuming I find it, what should I do?

"Hey Ruffle, I'm a little tired. Why don't you take me home?

When I was worried, Lynn asked Ruffle to do that.

It's hard to fly beyond the sea. No matter how tired you are on the way, you have nowhere to rest.

I can't even rest in the ocean...

I thought that if you think about it, Lynn is a mermaid, so how much can you rest in the sea?

"Yeah, okay."

"What do you mean, you don't live in the same direction?"

I used to live in a room for students that I built in my school building, just like Rufu and Lynn.

but for her, who has grown and grown even bigger since then, it has become more convenient to have a house in the suburbs in relation to expanding more and more villages with civil works, so now Ruhul has built and lived a house for himself.

"Well, well, well."

"Well, fine..."

Lynn joining hands with Patchouli. Is that when you want to be sweet? I think I've been getting more of these hands lately.

When I turned my back, I didn't hesitate to let her body down. For the tail of a fish, a mermaid is bigger and heavier than a human. I did not speak up, but secretly doubled my power with the magic of self-enhancement.

"Hey, good day, Nina"

I just ran into Nina where I could see the school building and I raised one hand. Lately, she has set up clinics and often works as a doctor there.

I let go of one hand and the balance breaks, and Lynn hugs me so hard.

"What are you doing?"

Seeing her like that, Nina raised a frightened voice.

"No, I'm tired from a long journey."

Is it still a little too spoiled? Unexpectedly, Nina's expression got harsher.

"……… grate."

"No, I sure don't know if it's been this year or not, but Lynn,"

"It's okay."

Blocking my words, Nina orders me to do so with an unspoken voice. I had no choice but to put Lynn down and she left me just before that.

"……… you, since when?

"About what?

To the stuffed Nina, Lynn tilts her neck as if it were stuck.

"I'm unconscious, I won't let you say anything! Since when has that been the case!?

Suddenly Nina screamed and grabbed Lynn's long hair.

"Wait, Nina! What are you talking about!?

I don't know why the always calm Nina would be angry with such a sword screen, and I panicked...... and noticed.

"…… Lynn. This is."

"What... ah"

Lynn panics and hides it in the palm of her hand.

But what you see can no longer be deluded.

Nina grabbed and pulled up, her hair abundant.

The inscriptions underneath were multiple... deep, deep wrinkles.
