The Magus of Genesis

Episode 12: Brown Fairy Clothing/Brownie Hood

"This?

"…… Spirit, I wonder."

Lynn stares fluffily at the water floating in the universe, and Mel answers her uncertainty with a frown root.

"This?

"Not a spirit, I think…………………"

If you show the flame I transferred to the tree chop, the half sheep girl will sift and shake her head.

"So this is it?

"Ugh, I don't know. I don't know."

Mel finally turned up the sound after being shown the water held in the cup.

What magic does she feel is from the Spirit and what does she think she doesn't?

Although I tried various tests, the results were not very fragrant.

It's not like she and I have a basis. It's just an intuition.

"I'm starting to feel like I'm just saying it appropriately..."

Lynn groans tired. That's impossible, too.

Ala's shadow spear is not spiritual magic, but Lynn says the water sword is spiritual magic. If you create a sword of fire, then it is not spiritual magic; if you let the wind blow, it is spiritual magic; if you make the stone look heavy, it is not spiritual magic.

Somehow, I'm starting to feel like I'm taking a strange quiz.

Nina has a genius skin that explains poorly, too, but she just explains poorly and explains herself. If you look at it, or somehow feel it, explain it without explaining it. Let Nina tell me that we're weirder than that.

But in Mel's case, I don't even know why I know. Are you judging us by our appearance, or do we have some sense that we can't feel, or is it some kind of magic? I don't even know that.

Naturally, Lynn's frequent "Why? Nor could she answer any of them, and the more she exchanged, the more exhausted she was with each other.

"Shall we take a break………………?"

"Right."

While we had a barren exchange, Yuka and Ala were again encouraged to arch, and Innis was watching over Cruce. To be a little more precise, Innis, who quickly sensed that our exchange would end in barren fashion, bought a babysitter and went out and slipped out, I suppose.

"Innis, thank you"

That said, it's not that easy to take care of a child. Cruse, in particular, is a kid who literally has no idea what he's going to do, and it's hard for him to watch.

"Here."

While Innis nibbles somewhat, he pounds on Cruse's back.

"You're annoying, old man"

With an innocent smile I was struck by the words of Cruse that struck me through the heart.

"Also......... will you say it again?

"You're annoying, old man"

Dad.

Its name, which would be very common in the world, was extremely destructive.

"... Innis taught you?

Neither I nor Nina have ever called me that. If so, it was not difficult to imagine that it was the work of the girl who was wearing a nipple in front of her.

"There's no 'teacher' in boulders, is there?"

"Hmmm......"

Honestly, I think of everyone in the village of Hiiro as my own child. While it is undeniable that the cruces you are looking after and nurturing directly are special among them, the quality is the same, even if there is a difference in the amount of affection. Everyone else has been calling me a teacher, so I don't feel uncomfortable about being called that by Cruse.

No, but...

"Again, will you call me your father?

"Dad."

Cruse's words, which he honestly recites, are indescribable and faceless. But it wasn't uncomfortable.

"I don't want to, I want only"

With both hands, he tries to carry it to his mouth with the cup that Cruse had placed on his desk.

"Oops, because that's the water that Lynn just put out. Phosphorus, water off………………"

Will you take it? Trying to say that, I stiffened. Now something's past my head.

Feels like some kind of answer touches the palm of your hand and spills between your fingers.

"What's the matter, Seiko?

Dump the glass of water unconstructively as Phosphorus tilts his neck, pour it back out of the water and pass it to Cruse.

The discarded water stays intact, scratches off to evaporate, and doesn't even stay wet.

The magical effect basically doesn't last long. The same applies to water created by magic, inadvertently drinking it and moisturizing your throat, which later becomes a suffering feather. That's why I stopped Cruse.

With the magical exception of me and Lynn's transformation, I can disappear as if it had not been effective. Everyone who lives in this city knows, it's a great principle of magic.

But what if it's wrong?

It disappears, not because it's magic...

"Lynn. Again, can you get the water out?

"Uh, yeah. … water."

Pour in the magical water served by Lynn in the finished cup of Cruse at your desk.

"This cup is for putting this water in. Would you say that?

"This cup is a cup for putting this water in… What do you mean?

Lynn frowns curiously, yet repeats my words as she was told.

"Go away"

When I commanded, the water disappeared by the way.

Every cup poured.

"Ah, well. I gave you a glass of water."

Mel said in a swallowing voice as Lynn and Innis watched.

"Mel, I knew you'd notice."

With a desire to sigh, I see half a sheep girl.

And ask Lynn to call the water again……

"This is a spirit, too."

And he showed up, putting up the water in the glass, and I said so.

What I give to the Spirit is limited to what is of such size that it can be worn, but becomes part of the Spirit to come out or disappear. That's the law Mel found a few years ago.

I call this brown fairy clothing (brownie hood). The fairy, Brownie, passed on to England, is based on anecdotes that when given hooded clothes, they make it their own and disappear.

"That's what you said from the beginning. Ah."

Mel protested in a childish manner, swelling her cheeks plumply.

Damn right.

I perceived her phrase "being a spirit, not a spirit" in terms of whether or not she was using the power of the Spirit.

But on second thought, Mel hasn't said that once.

Referring to the mass of water that floats in the universe, this is the Spirit, I said.

"Natural phenomena of willingness cut by magic and started acting like creatures. I thought that was the Spirit, and I think I've taught you guys that. But that wasn't enough."

I don't have the will. It just looks like water. This was a spiritual spirit.

... No. Lynn used to say. Everything in this world is willed. And even if there is no manifestation of the Spirit, the stream of the river behaves erratically. If so, even the water in this cup is willing.

I just don't have the ability to tell it.

"But Shisei said that the flames he gave out were not spirits... ah"

Before I answered, Lynn seemed to have noticed on her own.

"Oh well............! Flames. Hey, Mel. Is this a spirit?

Mel nodded at the flame created by Lynn in the palm of his hand. It's a very simple story. The flames I put out are real flames that are burning in me. It wasn't a spiritual flame. But that made the conversation extra complicated. You would have noticed sooner without me...

"…… hey, that's it."

Innis, who watched a series of interactions closely, accidentally opens her mouth with a serious look.

"I wonder if we can use it well and do something similar to Grant Magic."

"What's the meaning of this?

You didn't know what Innis meant, Mel tilts her neck.

"Right!

The advantage of granting magic is that it can be activated in just one word.

But I know one wizard who can do something similar with other magic.

"It's an ordinance, Mel. If this Spirit can also remind you of the Apostolic Decree…………………"

Mel snarls at my words.

"I mean..."

With this, Leo will be able to establish himself as the fourth faction in the current three-ways succession war.

Seeing that I had gained her understanding, I snorted.

"What do you mean………?

I didn't get it.
