The Magus of Genesis

Episode 29: Unavoidable Disaster/Inevitable Disaster

Weirdly, I immediately noticed.

"Father, the bell…………………"

With an anxious look, Cruse grabs the hem of my clothes.

The bell rang in multiple directions.

The sound of a bell informing a disaster is rang closest to the source to inform its approximate location. It is not the case that two or three simultaneous sounds are made in the event of a disaster at just midpoint of a bell tower arranged at regular intervals.

But hearing countless bells from all directions was clearly an anomaly.

"Nina!"

When she rushed out of Cruse's room, Nina was already ready to go out in her white coat.

"I go to the hospital. You are……………………."

"I'm going to Mirell's"

Whatever the type of disaster, there will always be injured people. If it's Nina's job to rush to the hospital, then my job is to get an idea of the situation. If so, it is probably the surest way to go to the head of the sword department.

I guess Nina was going to do that, too, and when she snorted, she turned her gaze to Cruse.

"I will go with your father."

"I just want you to keep me company at home if you can...... well, fine"

I guess I thought it would be a waste of time to convince you. Nina cruises for a moment and flies out. When I grabbed the cane from my room too, I headed outside with Cruse.

"Cruse, hands. - The wind!

I hold Cruse's hand and with my opposite arm I shake my wand. That scepter, much the same length as my back length, polished the branches of an eye tomb tree that I had previously divided to find the glow of my soul.

I hadn't noticed anything until now, but the wand seemed to have a similar effect to the spell. In other words, increase the magic output and stabilize the accuracy. Even when using witchcraft, you will be able to use higher-ranking witchcraft when using it without having anything.

But I'm not even talking about just holding a cane. There seems to be a compatibility between the wand, people, and magic, and the material, length, and thickness change that. If you use compatible magic with a compatible wand, it works better, but if it's not compatible, it doesn't do anything, or if it's terrible, it can even do the opposite.

For example, the cane Mel used a lot for a long time was very compatible with her. I really want you to stop getting to the answer without any reason.

And - this wand, created from an eye tree, was the best compatible for me, even better than that.

The wind wraps around me and Cruse's body and instantly rises high above. Despite the sudden acceleration as if it were a jet coaster, none of them felt like pressure or breathlessness. It feels like you're flying in a dragon's shape while still being a person's figure.

With this wand, the magic of flames and winds can be handled more flexibly and finely than magic.

"Father, there!

Cruse points under his eyes as he is held by my little side. Several people fled, and creatures who had never seen behind them were chasing them.

"I'm coming, Cruse!

"Ha!"

A spin, a sudden descent. Flying wide across the eyes of a mysterious creature, its legs stop in surprise.

"Ice Spear!

Cruce's magic sniped through it and pierced his chest.

"Ah, thank you very much, Doctor!

"Leave this place to us and run. If you're in school, the building is sturdy, and it should be safe."

I gave such instructions to the villagers who were fleeing the mysterious creatures, and I stared at the creatures rolling on the ground. It had a wrinkly face like a monkey, no hair on his body and a tight black skin, running with two legs.

This is like………

"Father."

Falling to the ground, staring at that creature, who does not even move Pickle, Cruse makes his expression strong.

"This creature…… has no soul"

"What?

According to Cruse's research, a creature has more or less a soul. On the contrary, it seems that even the appliance may have a slight soul. For example, a frying pan that has been used for nearly five hundred years?

The exception is the Spirit. The little spirits who only look like natural creatures originally said that the great spirits who look and behave like creatures also do not have souls.

Does that mean that this creature is a spirit? But if that's the case, it's odd that Kruse's sorcery would kill him so badly. Spirit magic hardly works on spirits, and if you knock them down, there will be no bodies left.

"Doctor! You were here!

When I was surprised, I heard Ala from afar. Turn around and he kicks the earth with four legs and rushes this way at full speed.

"Can you give me a hand!?

And I wonder how hasty you've come, shouting like that in a rough breath.

"Everyone in the sword department is fighting... they are pushing"

Oddly enough, what he was calling was where I was aiming. I was about to head to Kenbe Mansion, but if its lord is on the front line, it's quick to talk.

"Show me."

"Yes, Cruse, on my back..."

"No, it's okay because your father is faster. Ala-kun seems tired."

Ala reached out to Cruse when I asked her, but she said so and stuck around my waist.

"Right, sorry to bother you. Okay, Doctor, over here!

Ala took the lead without looking concerned, so I follow it as I manipulate the wind again and fly low altitude.

The mysterious existence of the earlier appeared repeatedly on its way, and each time the magic of Cruce defeated it.

"Ala. What the hell are these guys?

"I don't know. but Mel said it was a new spirit"

After all, is it a spirit? Or maybe Mel also unconsciously feels the presence of her soul in some way.

"But for a spirit, that's odd. It's like a creature."

"Yes, you are weaker and easier to die than you think you are a spirit. The way we fight is not so much the Spirit..."

Ala glanced into her own hand.

"Maybe it was an injury then?

"What then?

"Look, I'm home when I met your grandmother."

To the words of Cruse, I recall. If you ask me, Ala was wounded on her way home from her mother's. I didn't even care because it wasn't a big injury...

"Yes. I didn't look as clear then as I do now, but the nature was the same. I was caught off guard and wounded by a way of fighting that was not so spiritual."

"An unspirited way to fight?

Grabbing his fist all the time, Ala groans bitterly.

"Ignore me in front of you, from the weak... from Innis, I aimed."

A creepy sensation runs through my spine. Surely such a way of fighting is not spiritual. The Spirit does not choose and prefer to harm anyone so that the fire flames and tsunami waters do not choose them.

… and. I have never known the existence of a new species of Spirit.

It was thirty-five years ago, if it had appeared since I visited my mother. In thirty-five years, I had never seen a spirit like that.

In the meantime, there was no spiritual disaster, nor was there any involvement. There have been many disasters, and I have participated in their rescue and in the suppression of the Spirit.

Yet Ala knows a new breed of spirits, and I don't. The fact reminded me of an unfortunate hunch and a sense of sight.

"Doctor, that's it!

Ala screams ahead before he can think deeply about it.

"This, is……………."

I was stunned by the sight that spread outside the village.

The black shadow fills it far away.

The example "Spirit of the New Breed" stood in line for hundreds and thousands and pushed him to the village of Hiiro like Yunxia.

Redhead people cut it off one after the other.

The sword club. The swordsman was out there, holding countless spirits there.

The carcasses pile in multiple ways, the seeping blood and fat pollute the earth, and yet they wave their swords.

A few of them slipped through that sword break into the village, but they can't even afford to chase it.

The same thing must be happening all over the village. What we encountered was such a leak.

I know this sight. I know what caused this.

There is no certainty anywhere. Maybe it's a completely different phenomenon just because it's similar.

But intuitively, I was almost certain of it.

Because I remember.

"Algernon............!

Someday, it will come.
