The Marquess’s Amnesia

Section 27. Five stories, three warnings.

"They seem to be sourcing people who become commodities mainly for the abduction of children and women in slums, robbing their daughters of debt kata and selling children in other poor rural areas, both domestically and internationally"

The voice of a knight making a report to a conference room conceived of quiet tension sounds good.

Sitting in a seat with a plate written Captain William Lutherford, I follow with my eyes the letters dancing to the material at hand as I hear it.

Only a fraction of them were able to be rescued following the recent arrest of a senior noble official. Fortunately, they had just been caught, and many were able to return them safely to their parents. However, some of them still have no place to return and apparently were abducted from some ghetto. The three children are in an orphanage and two unaccompanied women are protected in a monastery.

"The more I buy as a workforce in the case of children, the more visible children and young daughters are still subject to sexual slavery. Especially young and beautiful women, who seem to be dressed in underwear and hung up on auctions, but this auction requires a certain donation and seems to be a special event that only a considerable number of wealthy people can attend"

"Where is the auction being held?

Chief of the Knights of Veritate sitting in the upper seat, Chief of the Knights of Reich Alto asks the Knights. The knight wraps one piece of material in his hand to find the string he is looking for and looks up.

"At this stage, we're probably changing places at that time by suppressing some of our collaborators' separate residences, etc. Most of them seem to be wealthy merchants' separate residences... but after the recent picking by diplomat Klaus, they seem to be quite vigilant."

"I knew I should have let him swim some more and picked him up at the same time. Again... can't a black scorpion be a glimmer"

The captain takes a severe sigh.

Not all of them who work evil are stupid.

It is no exaggeration to say that organization is determined by the human wit that stands above it. How to move the people who serve as the hands and feet, and that changes the way the organization is.

And a criminal organization called "Black Scorpion" is a major criminal organization that takes not only Clarision, but also several surrounding countries. All kinds of crimes such as human trafficking, drug trafficking, etc. can be said to connect them. I only grasp that this trafficking in human beings is also part of their organization.

Permission to speak.

When I raised my hand, my gaze all over the conference room was pointed at me simultaneously. The facilitator's clerk calls my name and gives me permission to speak. I stood up and, for once, looked over the entire conference room. Finally he nodded deeply as he turned to Alphonse sitting next to him.

"... my child has got one piece of information that concerns me. Two Viscount maids who attended the masquerade in the last six months, one Baron maid, are missing."

"You've never heard of such a story, if the warrant goes missing, it's a big deal. If your family was hiding it, wouldn't that be a rush down? It's a common story at masquerades."

Royce, the deputy commander sitting next to the commander of the regiment, frowned with surprise.

"No, that possibility has already been investigated but seems unlimited. They said they had a lot of friends, a little, intimate men, just the same age as one seventeen-year-old and two eighteen-year-olds, but from what I've seen of all three, they were beautiful ladies. And they have another thing in common."

"Common denominator, is it?

"Every house bore a lot of debt," he said.

The meeting room squeaks again. The captain and the deputy captain look at each other and gradually quiet after the MC has spoken out "quietly" several times.

"Captain Lutherford, that's more the jurisdiction of the House of Lords than ours, but do you know what's beyond it?

"I don't even know if they took my daughter to put up debt or sold it. But there is no doubt that these three houses could not report the disappearance of their daughter to the House of Lords or to our Knights."

A wrinkle leaned between the captain's eyebrows, and the deputy captain put his hand on his head and sighed zero.

"... that means you might still have a house like that"

I agree with the Vice Chairman.

Duke, Marquis, Borderline, Count, Viscount, Baron, Associate Baron, Knight. In the kingdom of Creación, it is a recognized title as an official nobleman, but the lower two quasi barons and knights are one-generation titles, they cannot be barons unless they do some merit, and there is a great wall there. And houses are rarely distressed by a single murder because some of the Viscounts, Barons and Counts are also small territories unlike the top nobles.

Still, there is little to return the title, and everyone is desperate to protect the house.

In the event of a murder or natural disaster, there is a system of subsidies from the royal family but most houses do not use them. When you apply, the members of the committee seconded by the House of Lords will look up every inch of the damage, the costs of reconstruction, the property of that house, and so on, but there are many things you hate about it. I guess there's something dark behind us, guys.

"... you can smell it in the House of Lords. They'll destroy the crime scene. Explore the distressed houses so they don't understand, and thoroughly investigate if there are any other missing persons. And don't fail to monitor the merchants on this list."

The knights' replies become overlapping and wild.

Then we discussed detailed instructions to each squad and the upcoming investigation, and the meeting ended about an hour later than planned.

Return to the office and sit back on the couch with your hands up in the voice of a friend called "Good Luck".

Outside the window it was already dark and if I took out my pocket watch, the time would have already gone around 7: 00. If it's true, it's already time to go back under Liliana and Cedric.

"Thank you for your tiredness, go ahead"

I thank Frederick for the tea he served me at the perfect time. Did you add a little sugar, its understated sweetness was pleasant on my overused and grassy head.

Mario kept you waiting, too.

"Oh, it doesn't matter. I was thinking about designing Liliana's dress, thinking it would take longer anyway. Look. How about this or something? I tried to open my back."

Mario, who was sitting on the couch across the street, looks up from the sketch.

The sketch offered depicted a painting of a woman wrapped around a line dress that was perfectly along her body. But, as the word goes, my back is open to the waist, and it's a pretty radical dress.

"Rejected, no. It's not Liliana's hobby, and she looks better clear."

I immediately denied it. Liliana would look good for anything because she's beautiful if I said it would or wouldn't look good on her, but this isn't working. Why should I show another man my back that I have never even seen?

Besides, maybe Liliana cares about the wounds and will avoid anything absolutely highly exposed.

Because of that fucking Baba, I want to curse my powerlessness today about how hurt Liliana would have been. How could it not then have blocked her ears with arrogance, and silenced that Baba? No, I still wish I had told you to hide in your room with Cedric and not let those babas see you.

That way I wouldn't have to make you look like that.

To the words of the woman who was my stepmother. She was mourning her complexion and quietly zeroing her tears. Maybe he didn't even realize he was crying. The side of it was so vain and sad.

"... you okay? Will's not looking good, either, is he?

Mario glances at me worried.

When did you get here? There was Alphonse next to him, and the two of them looked alike and peered into me. Kaddock is holding back in the corner of the room.

"Liliana has always been... afraid I'd find out her secret now"

"Secret?"

Alphonse tilts his neck.

"It's about the wound here."

I slapped my left dovetail with my hand.

These two are secretly investigating the case in which Liliana was attacked, so I know that Liliana was attacked and wounded because I taught her. It was just that the investigation dossier for the case did not have Liliana's name, instead it had the name of the servant's daughter and the person with the continued pattern, only marked as a minor injury, nor did it say that the drug had been hung. Maybe Uncle Ayton was forced to wipe out Liliana's presence.

"Liliana is said to have been sworn here by thieves and burned her skin from wound to wound by hanging some kind of drug. I don't know how much it is because I just asked Uncle Ayton too and I've never seen the real thing... Liliana told me that even Elsa has scratches but she'll never show her skin"

I heard the two of them breathing.

I might have known in the course of the investigation. But I guess you didn't think I'd talk.

I keep going as I watch my hands put together on my lap.

"That wound is more than I've ever replaced the gold of three thousand lil for her. Maybe he was scattered, cursed and spooked by his parents and that sister-in-law of a bad character, and a scar that he couldn't even say was beautiful in person kept affirming the word for nine years. She is often unconsciously touching here when she gets anxious.... even when I'm so happy, from time to time, I touch there"

Maybe she's just giving up and not doing what she expects, and she's scared of happiness. I'm scared of when I'm used to happiness and I mourn it, and I'm trying to touch here and pull myself back into reality.

"Liliana didn't want me to know about it. I didn't want my husband to know I was amnesic and laughing at her. Before I lost my memory... maybe I knew about her wound or not. Uncle Ayton seemed to have sporadically told me, even before we got married, to my daughter, who was better than her injured daughter. She couldn't tell me that right now. I must have thought I'd hate her if I found out about it. But that... that woman despised her by speaking insensitively and in front of me."

A muscle floats in his clenched fist.

If it's not enough, throw away chivalry or something, and regret that I should have hit you.

"For that woman and her sister, Liliana is equal to slavery. It is a gateway to our own frustration and a creature inferior to ourselves. So maybe I'm not aware of the fact that it's derogatory or hurting you."

"... Will. I was waiting here because I need to talk to you about the incident nine years ago. So I can tell you... Margaret must have been aware of the horn and Sandra. She's devoting herself to hurting Liliana."

Face up to the words Mario said quietly.

Never before had a more serious eye been directed, and I swallowed the sawdust and saliva.

"Nine years ago, the crux of it was that Master Cedric was born."

"Cedric did?

"Oh. That day, Uncle Ayton was on his way to send Master Liliana to Viscount Everett's house. I was going to send it to Viscount Everett and his wife for adoption... but there was a woman who couldn't forgive it. That was Sandra. Sandra really wanted to deprive Liliana of her happiness. So I tried to kill my husband that day if he was going to be gone from my hand. Cedric's here, so I didn't have a problem succeeding him."

"Who asked me why I hate Liliana so much..."

"It's an old Deacon from Allwin. We thought the All-Win servants were abusing Master Liliana, but they weren't. They did not recognize Lady Sandra as their rightful wife, for them the Countess of Ayton was only Lady Catherine, who was Viscount Everett's warrant. That's why I kept protecting Master Liliana by pretending to be submissive. But if you speak, Lady Liliana will beat you, and whether you give her something, be gentle, it's the same. So I just kept my mouth shut and looked after him."

"But Cedric was taken care of by the servants over there."

"Well, then you're a sure kid to inherit Uncle Ayton's blood, and most importantly, isn't it because Sedy looks just like her predecessors? Just as those idiot parents drowned only their mother like Margaret, Sedy, similar to her beloved predecessors, was important to the servants as well. If this looked like my mother, it would have been different."

Alphonse's words made sense.

Nodding as Mario affirms, we go further.

"Back to the story, her plan ended in failure by chance with the Knights present.... I don't know what was going on at the time, but maybe the drugs were meant for me to put on my face"

No, I couldn't say enough.

"That woman felt unusually adamant about Liliana's appearance for some reason. I could tell who saw it was beautiful. I was denying all of Liliana's looks. Why do you think that is?

"Lily looked like your mother, didn't she? Isn't that why? It's like because she's the woman who took the Count from herself... that? But apart from Margaret's seeds? Why? Don't you have to hate me?

"I don't know, it's complicated with women. You don't know what it is?

"I'm just dressed as a woman with a hobby, and my heart is a raw man. Anyway, watch out for Sandra. I don't know what I'm going to set you up to do more than take Margaret."

"Oh. I have no choice but to escort you to the mansion for a while..."

"Then I'll come?" Ariel will talk to you, and your mother will be happy. "

"10,000 lil for Master Liliana to faint"

Mario said it in the face.

"... Your Highness, with all due respect, our wife is a tough, delicate person. All of a sudden, when you meet the royal princess, you fall in shock."

"... so is that. I knew I was right not to tell you today. If I had told you, you and I would have stormed."

Both Her Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness come with a very nostalgic personality, so I thank him for his mouth that it would definitely have been an assault choice.

"But the mansion is in danger tonight, so stay in my town until you calm down."

"Are you on the back street? I used to get out of college."

It's a two-story house with a small garden in a common street. When it comes to a size house where a family of four can live together, the more explanatory it is, the more adorable it is. The area itself is a safe area, about half an hour by horse from the Knights.

"Yes, yes. I don't know the Duke or Sandra there."

"I think it's better than going back to the mansion. Say something about enjoying the lives of the common people for a while, and take them out with a distraction. Escorts aren't knights, I'll ask someone I know."

"That's a good story, too, but for once, I'll discuss it with the Fredericks. Because Liliana doesn't like to turn into a new environment, I don't really want her to force it. And Seddie... mostly I'm anxious, so I might as well get used to the mansion."

"I'll leave the judgment around here to you. But me and Mario will spare no effort, so rely on as much as you can."

"Oh. Thanks. But I'll be back tonight. I'll take the paperwork home first thing in the morning..."

"Fine, fine. I'll work with Mario on the paperwork, so you can stay with me today."

"Huh? Me, paperwork has nothing to do with it, Muggle"

Caddock held Mario's head with his right hand, blocked his mouth with his left hand, and, yeah, made him nod. I get up refreshed. Opportunities must not be allowed to escape. Frederick is already fully prepared and will give me his coat.

"What you need to have is an excellent and kind best friend. And then I asked you, Al, Mario."

I received it, weave it, and I'm just heading out the exit.

"Say hello to Lily and Seddy!

"Ugh, uh-huh, uh-huh!"

"Oh, my friend! Thanks!"

Left behind a playful kobai, I left the office behind.

I didn't want to stop by because of this, and I heard Mario protesting across the closed door, but I decided I didn't, and I hurried along with Frederick and I was on my way home.

"... escaped?

To James, who jumped into the office in a little hurry, I look up from the paperwork.

"On the way from the Marquis house to our house, there was an accident between the carriages... and Sandra disappeared into that gap, she said. Witnesses say they saw two men boarding a carriage parked nearby with a woman they thought was Master Sandra."

I lay down my fountain pen, throw myself out on my back and exhale.

I thought it was too late to go back, but I can't believe I'm getting away with it. Reach for the drawer, take out the note and run the fountain pen.

I wrote it up. Put it in an envelope and James will give you the red candle. Receive it and press and seal the ring with the motif of the Duke of Hooksberger family, which was draped in the mouth of the envelope and fitted in the middle finger.

Pass the letter to James.

"Take this now, William, and give me a warning reward. Probably still in the conference tower.... on the other hand, you don't mind using a dog, so explore where you are and bring Sandra back"

"Yes, sir."

I miss the letter and James leaves the room.

I took off my presbyopia, put it aside, and, ha, zeroed my sigh again.

"Absolutely, you're a cat in trouble. I didn't expect to annoy my owner's hand so much... I'd still rather have a dog"

Pompous and groaning, I laid my eyes down quietly.

Red lips gracefully arced in the darkness behind her eyelids, smiling flashly.
