I prepared some souvenirs for my grandfather, who encouraged me to build the castle, and I went with the army for the westernmost part of the territory of Qualdenze.

Departing from the city of Nambonan and travelling west on highly uneven land for about a day and a half, you will see a base with the flag of the Qualdenze army.

Looking to the northeast, Mount Elektion, the highest peak of the continent, soared up, and the Keyvolf Mountains stretched to support it.

Across the Keyvolf Mountains lies the northern part of the continent, the land of mist.

It is a barren land where the soil is polluted by mature warcraft born without bounds and where only a very small number of peoples live.

The central part of the continent is still protected from the mature warcraft of the north by natural curtains woven by mountains and great rivers.

"Looks like construction is going on."

It has not been so long since the castle began, but part of it was in the process of forming walls and fortifications.

There are similarly sighted and ragged buildings everywhere on Chez's Luke pawn, and I can see soldiers packing them.

The color of the surrounding soil is oddly noticeable, probably because of the tidiness. Sometimes I have a grandfather with noble magic powers, and sometimes my grandfather's troops have soldiers with magic powers, and it's only early to do the groundwork.

There are people who are engaged in civil engineering work because they lose ground speed. Though it was the whip I didn't have, I could see the soldiers nearby torturing them.

Most of the workers here are former mercenaries who were deprived of their liberty by surrendering to the Coalition forces of Qualdenze in the Nambonan urban offensive.

They were staring at this one with resentful eyes as they were forced to engage in harsh civil work as slaves to what was saved their lives.

Deposit the troops I've led from the city of Nambonan with the captain who was at the base, and I'll get off the carriage.

Tesh put a thick cape on me, blushing his neck in the cold wind that cut him off.

Two people are accompanied this time: Tesh and Odie. I came all this way to take care of my grandfather as a servant.

He was led by a soldier who picked him up and led him to a wooden building like the one divided by two with the prefabricated cabin and log house added.

The soldier starts explaining with his back of his head pointed as he leads this way.

"General Galphis is out to the surrounding villages right now. I'm sorry, but please wait here."

The building seemed to have a large interior on the back of the exterior and multiple rooms.

They are put through to one of those rooms and tell the soldiers to wait here.

"Are you asking me how soon I'll be back?

"... I'm sorry, I don't know the details. Only that they left this morning."

Judging by the way soldiers dress, they don't usually seem to be in the position to talk to my grandfather or me. Something like a small squad leader?

Perhaps if a senior martial officer had been absent on my arrival, he would have just been ordered to guide me to this room for now.

It doesn't make much sense to ask him that, and he'll scare you.

"Right. Will it wait a little while? Well, when the superiors get back, tell them I'm here."

"Ha!"

When the soldier replied without even trying to hide his relieved face, he shivered and left the room.

The laid-back room has a simple mobile fireplace and firewood is ready just around the corner.

Tesh and Odie just started to move around to get the environment in the room ready.

As the fireplace lit and the room was getting warmer, a different soldier came into the room than just now.

I'm a martial officer in my grandfather's unit, and I've spoken to him several times. He said after a clear greeting that sounded like a military man.

"I'm a general, but I'm scheduled to stay overnight in a nearby village. I was wondering if I'd be back around noon tomorrow."

Apparently, my grandfather and I misplaced each other.

There is no such thing as an instrument of civilization as a telephone, so there is no choice. The letter only tells us that we are supposed to arrive.

"An inspection?

"Yes, it's a rebel broil."

This area is the land that has recently come under the control of the Qualdenze family here. Prior to that, the nobility of the Empire ruled.

As a matter of course, the enemy nobles and knights will not do anything to slaughter all the inhabitants there, even if they kill them.

The inhabitants of the villages, towns and cities continue to live again with their lords the newly arrived rulers, the Quordenze family, and the knights that accompany them.

But there is something inside that revolts against the rule of the Qualdenze family. It's a civilian who was getting into the lord's side and rinsing sweet juice.

These people want to continue the vested interests they originally had, or support guerrilla activities that hid humans on the old lord's side.

That's why we need to do occasional inspections to smoke out such humans, execute them and go around.

Note that there are some places where contributions are prepared to improve the impression from the new Lords. They rather have more patterns over there.

Maybe my pretty village daughter could have held it all she wanted. That makes me regret that I misplaced him with my grandfather.

"Right. Well, what's the matter?"

It's still early in the night, and most importantly, it's not dressed up against soldiers to come and start sleeping like that.

"I'd like to look around this base."

"Ha! I'll show you."

The greats can tighten the mood of soldiers by just looking and walking.

I let Tesh and Odie help me get dressed and dress up as a soldier.

When I finished inspecting the base, I had dinner with the soldiers.

Being a soldier just because you look big as a nobleman doesn't give you morale when you're in a lot of battle. For this reason, moderate interaction is essential.

The soldiers were greatly delighted when they deliberately offered a mountain of liquor barrels drawn from the city of Nambonan. It's just a struggle to carry alcohol so far that I can't seem to have much to drink.

After dinner, when I went back to the building that was set aside as my place to stay, Tesh and Odie were having some sort of meeting.

The two servants left a message in this building to inspect the military facility.

"What are you doing?

"We had a little meeting about human resources after we got back to Newnelly Castle."

Tesh approaches this way, saying so, and takes off my jacket.

"People change?

Because Tesh is my lead, if he were to talk about HR, it would be nothing more than a conversation between my dedicated servants.

I wonder who will change, and I will say the answer before Tesh says the answer.

"Oh, could it be Oddy? You know, you're gonna be my exclusive."

Oddie, who often travels on business, will not have any business to go to Wang Du until about next spring.

I think it's very likely that Odie will be my exclusive for a while now.

"There's that, too, but it's about Minute."

It was Odie who answered that.

An unexpected name must have brought up a hatena mark on my face, she quickly supplemented.

"It was written in a letter from the maid director that Minute might not be able to work. So I was talking to Master Tesh about who to add exclusively after Minute fell out."

The Maid Chief, the big boss who binds the female servants of Newnelly Castle, is also Odie's mother.

I knew a bunch of letters arrived in the city of Nambonan the other day contained a letter from the maid director to Odi, but I thought it was a parent-child correspondence. Looks like it was a work letter, correctly.

"I can't read the story, why won't Minute be able to work?

"Apparently we're behind"

I just got word out to my throat saying what was behind me, and I found out what Odie was trying to say.

She snorts.

"As you can guess, sir."

According to Odie, apparently the Minute is marked as the maid length.

The woman you hold most often in Newnelly City is definitely a Minute. If you were to get pregnant first, that would very likely be a minute.

Minute goes to work every morning and says, "Good morning, menstruated? You think she's been checked for pregnancy by a maid length with a" like "nori? Kind of pathetic.

"It's just that she's young, so maybe she's really just behind"

Minute is sixteen years old in Picchi. Odie told me not to expect excessively because I can also think of irregular menstruation.

"Right. The Minute..."

If now gambling started to hit either pregnancy or irregular periods, I would definitely bet on pregnancy.

I believe in the twelve-year-old healthy body-manufactured, living geeks.

"Yep. It would be a pleasure if it were true..."

Her smile toward this one also looked like that of her sweet sister who would be happy to grow her brother if she were to analogize.

But is it my fault that I feel like I see shade in that smile?

"Oddy."

"Yes? What is it?

To my words, Odie, instantly back in the servant's face, corrects his posture.

"Tesh and I just need to talk. Would you mind taking it off a little bit?

"Yes, sir."

Without even listening back, Odie backs off in silence, opens and closes the door without sound and walks out into the room.

I turned to Tesh and said what I've been meaning to hear.
