Ruvian’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets when he saw the changes to his [Runeheart]. Honestly, who could blame him? The difference was so absurdly drastic that it almost looked fake.

Every single one of his stats had risen from D+ to C-.

Then, there was his [Mana Essence], which had climbed from 5,800 all the way to 12,500. But honestly, that part was not nearly as shocking, since he had been tracking its growth and training it throughout all those regression cycles.

However, the moment he continued reading, his expression completely froze.

Apart from his Darkness and Water Affinities increasing by an entire stage of mastery, something new had appeared within his [Runeheart].

A brand-new affinity.

And it was something he had never expected to see there.

"What the hell!?" Ruvian shouted, staring at the words. "Why... why the hell is there a Dark Mana Affinity in my [Affinity Mastery]?"

’Wait...’

Ruvian suddenly recalled the title he had seen and the voice that had spoken to him only moments before.

Then, his gaze slowly shifted toward the Great Spirit standing before him, and an entirely new understanding of her settled inside his mind.

The Great Spirit smiled mischievously, quiet amusement dancing within her gray eyes.

"And why would Dark Mana not appear among your Affinity Masteries, child?" she asked, tilting her head with a playful grace. "After all, you have formed a Covenant Pact with the Great Spirit who stands as the very sovereign of that power."

Her smile widened as she gently placed one hand against her chest.

Seeing the utter confusion carved across Ruvian’s face, Morvayne decided that leaving him to drown in his own wild guesses would only make matters worse.

"Do not misunderstand me, child," she said gently, the playfulness in her voice slowly fading. "I am not one of those demons, nor does the power flowing through me share the same rotten origin as theirs."

A trace of sorrow entered her gray eyes.

"I am different from them."

Ruvian’s expression tightened, but before another question could escape him, Morvayne continued.

"Have you never wondered why I call Necraz, the Legendary Hero who once led humanity against the demons, my father?"

Ruvian blinked.

After several silent seconds, he slowly shook his head.

Honestly, he did but, it was not that important, but now yes he was very much curious about it.

Morvayne sighed dejectedly.

For a moment, hesitation clouded her expression. She had no desire to tear open wounds that had long since scarred over, but if she wished to build true trust with her contractor, then there were truths she could no longer keep buried.

"To put it simply, I was nothing more than one of the demons’ twisted experiments," she said at last.

"Long ago, spirits roamed this world in their own living forms, free to wander wherever their nature called them. But when the demons came, they hunted us, captured us, and dragged us away to become subjects in their vile experiments."

Morvayne slowly raised one hand.

Dark Mana gathered above her palm, twisting like black smoke as it pulsed with a cold and unnatural force.

"Their purpose was simple. Spirits were known for producing immense power through the element they embodied. A Water Spirit commanded water, while a Fire Spirit commanded flame."

Her gray eyes darkened.

"Knowing this, the Demon King sought to create something that should never have existed. A queen born from both spirit and demon."

The darkness above her palm thickened.

"Countless spirits were sacrificed in pursuit of that madness. Their bodies broke, their minds collapsed, and their souls were torn apart one after another."

Morvayne’s hand slowly closed around the dark flame.

"Only I survived."

Silence settled over the Sepulcher.

"During the purge that followed the war against the demons, I managed to escape," she continued. "I fled without knowing where I was going, driven by nothing more than terror and the instinct to remain alive."

Her gaze lowered slightly.

"Along the way, I encountered the Seven Virtuous Paragons. At that time, I understood none of their language, nor did I know who they were, so I had no way to explain what had been done to me."

A faint, bitter smile crossed her face.

"They sensed the demonic energy within me and believed I was their enemy. I could feel their killing intent pressing against my throat, and for a moment, I believed I had escaped one slaughter only to die in another."

Her expression softened.

"But later, Father stepped forward and saved me."

Morvayne’s voice grew quieter, carrying a warmth that had not been there before.

"He declared that he would take responsibility for me, and once those words left his mouth, none of them dared to challenge his decision. Well, one of them did object rather loudly, but even he eventually relented."

Morvayne slowly closed her hand, and the Dark Mana vanished from her palm.

"That is how we became father and daughter," she continued. "He created this Sepulcher so that I could remain hidden and protected from humans, demons, and even my own kind, the spirits."

Ruvian remained silent as he slowly processed everything she had told him. A strange heaviness settled inside his chest, mixed with a quiet sympathy he had not expected to feel.

"Thank you for telling me," he said at last.

Morvayne turned her gaze toward him, studying him with open suspicion.

"How strange," she murmured. "You sound far more normal and sane than you did a moment ago."

Her gray eyes narrowed slightly.

"I was already considering removing a portion of your memories to restore your mind. After all, I have no desire to spend eternity bound to a madman as my contractor."

Ruvian’s expression immediately changed.

"Hey, you cannot do that," he protested, clearly offended. "Those memories are the result of all the suffering I endured through those cycles. They also contain important information about the future, so you cannot simply tear them out of my head."

"Calm yourself, child. I was merely teasing you," Morvayne said with an amused smile. "But truly, how did you return to your senses so quickly? I did not even notice when the change began."

Honestly, Ruvian had no clear answer himself.

The only explanation he could think of was his blessing. It had likely been repairing the damage to his mind little by little, and it was probably the same reason he had managed to endure so many regression cycles without completely breaking apart.

"Anyway, that is not important right now."

Ruvian said, brushing the thought aside.

"Now, tell me... how do I leave this realm? I need to return to the real world. There are a lot of things I need to do."
