017 Cultivation instruction

We came back from the investigation, not much for a week.

I got word that the field was ready, and I was on my way to mentoring as soon as possible.

That said, it's next door, so it's a few seconds on foot.

"This time I've brought some different kinds of medicinal herbs, but they can be roughly divided into two parts. One is something that grows easily as long as the environment fits, and the other is something that grows quite a bit as long as it takes a lot of work. They're both relatively expensive herbs."

What you're hearing as you nod at my explanation is Mr. and Mrs. Michael.

Probably because I was working hard in direct sunlight. Compared to the last time I saw her, her skin burns every day, making her feel like a farmer.

"Uh, Mr. Sarasa. I know the laborious herbs are expensive, but what herbs are expensive to grow easily...?

"Mr. Izu, that's a good question. These herbs grow easily, but animals and insects eat them quickly in the woods. Luckily, we're surrounded by sturdy fences, so you don't have to worry about that, do you?

"I see, so... Here, all you have to do is deal with the bugs."

"That's what I mean"

As far as the environment is concerned, there should be no problem because this herb is by the forest where it is native.

After that, if you look around sometimes for insects, I don't think there will be any failures.

Most of all, I didn't grow it because I couldn't take that time, so this seed becomes a newly purchased object from my master.

"So why not just that herb? You don't have to plant laborious herbs."

Izu raises an eyebrow at Michael, who asks him that strangely.

"Michael! We are entrusted with the management of Mr. Sarasa's fields, aren't we? I'm not complaining!

"Oh, yeah, right, sorry"

I shake my head gently, scolded by Mr. Izu and rushed to bow my head to me, Michael.

"No, you don't have to worry too much about that one..."

For once, this field is supposed to be mine, and it seems true, because it's not necessarily what I need for it.

The fact that I received it as a reward is also significant because there is nothing the village can offer me.

I can't easily refuse Mr. Erin's request in trouble, and I can't work for free. It's a hard place, isn't it, to keep up with your neighbors?

"Of course, for a reason. One is because growing the same types of herbs together in the same place may not grow properly, or even if they grow up, they may become less effective."

Whatever crops are for eating, what the herbs require is their medicinal properties.

Without it, herbs are worthless.

There's no such thing as a collection from a natural flock, so there's got to be a reason... you haven't quite figured it out yet, have you?

As for herbal cultivation, there are many other things I'm not sure about, so it's not as major as the alchemist does it in detail, and that's why people studying it - at least I - don't know it as an oligarchy.

"The other, it's for you two, isn't it? Because if you only have one type, if you fail, you will have zero income. Trouble, isn't it?

I wish I didn't have the herbs I could pick here, but Michael and the others, whose main job is to eat instant fatalities on their income.

Despite the rewards from Mr. Erin, it is unlikely that this village, period and amount, which cannot be described as wealthy, will be sufficient.

"Thank you for your concern. It helps because it's not until the fall harvest that Mr. Erin gets the cost of living. Hahahahahaha......"

"It's not funny anymore, is it? Because our future depends on us!

To Michael, who gives him a slightly dry laugh, Izu swells his cheeks and slaps Michael in the back with bread.

"Ugh, yeah. I know. By the way, what's the hassle? Unfortunately, I'm not very used to agriculture, so the difficulty is..."

"You have to water it frequently, you need to create shade, you need special fertilizers, that sort of thing. All you need is more luxury than skill, so if you sweat, you won't fail… not much."

"Not really, is it?

I snort back at Michael, who sounds a little anxious.

"Because you're a natural opponent. Depending on the weather, it may not work..."

There's nothing I can do about all this.

Because there's no better way to 'bring it indoors because it looks rough today' than to grow it in a field.

"I see, right? But I'm confident in seriousness! I don't have the technology, though!

"I wouldn't be too proud of you! Excuse me, Mr. Sarasa. But if this guy just does what he's told, he'll do it without any hassle or rot, thank you."

As troubled as Mr. Izu is, he pulls Michael's hand with his chest stretched and lowers his head.

"It's okay. Like I was told, I'll take it seriously. Because I think that's one talent. Start by planting it from the medicinal herbs of those who are prone to grow it. The caveat--"

I don't know what kind of work the Michaels were doing in South Strag, but even if I just don't skip it, I'd appreciate it if you hired me.

If you can be faithful to what I taught you, it's better.

Much better than being judged weirdly proprietary.

I carefully explained to the two of you how to grow herbs so that I was speechless.

◇ ◇ ◇

"Well, we can finally treat the lava lizard."

Looking to teach herbal cultivation, order floating tents that have been accumulating since before I went to investigate, order refrigerators that have accumulated while I was there, and much more.

Finally, all those jobs cleared up.

If I had even built my own tent as a base, it would still have taken me for the time being, so thank the village aunts for working with Lorea, right?

For that matter, profits have decreased, but it also fits my purpose of 'working for the villagers', and as a total, I make a good profit, so problem nashing.

Cash, which was decreasing because of overlapping material purchases, also recovered to some extent, and is a little easier in the mood.

Most importantly, I'm just going around inside the village, so if I don't sell it outside, the problem is that the total amount doesn't increase.

"For that matter, we have to sell lava lizards."

The skin of the lava lizard, which was only easy to treat to avoid deterioration, was conveniently served for four.

My alchemist was at the scene, and Kate's bow arm was brilliant, so she was in pretty good shape.

All this stuff is hard to buy from collectors, so if you finish it well, you should be able to sell it for a good price. We have to work hard.

"Lava lizards are fire and heat resistant after all"

Even as it is, it can withstand about hot water and hot water vapor, but if processed properly, it will literally increase the effectiveness to a level where you can quarrel with lava.

"We're going to need a lot of flame-based materials to do that... but we don't have a choice."

Handheld and relatively luxurious is about a flaming stone.

But that's not what it takes to process a lava lizard.

They don't even bring it here, so I have to buy it from my master or Mr. Leonora.

"A little more cash will be lost again. If we succeed in processing this, we can get enough of it."

What if it fails?

Peppy, you're going to say it.

Because after buying in the material to finish all four rolls of Alchemy.

"But it's okay, I won't fail!... and I think, let's do one at a time"

Four pieces, if processed at the same time, can be done in one go, and the material can be saved, but the loss is quadrupled if it fails.

If you process one at a time, one will fail and lose.

Due to the current poetic situation, the skin of four lava lizards and other materials used for processing, when lost collectively, can also be seriously difficult to buy from collectors, so this time it will take more time than to save effort.

"The lava lizard skin is washed clean and poised in an alchemy kettle. Tarboo root in a bottle and a spoonful of ash branda powder. Add about three drops of Palsy extract..."

Some alchemy materials are like picking a powder and flying silver or gold coins with a drop of liquid.

I proceeded with work carefully to avoid spilling it by mistake.
