The Novice Alchemist’s Store

It was me who decided to make Lorea my apprentice, but that doesn't change anything all of a sudden.

Lorea is our clerk as always, and the majority of the knowledge you need as a clerk overlaps with the knowledge you need as an alchemist.

In other words, there is instruction as a disciple on the extension line of professors who have sometimes done so before as part of clerkship education.

In the first place, the majority of studies to become alchemists are the acquisition of knowledge.

If we don't consolidate it first, we can't move on.

If you neglect it and suddenly let it be an internship, it's the source of the accident.

If you have a facility as well as a school, or an alchemist as good as a master, it may be possible to fit in an accident without even causing injury, but it is impossible for me.

You can't put Lorea in unnecessary danger by mistake.

Of course, I need an internship or something more than becoming an alchemist, and there's some danger that that should be done with proper preparation.

Naturally, seating will dominate for the time being.

To do this, I first asked my master to pick up textbooks and such.

Actually, I don't have any textbooks, references, dictionaries, etc. that I used at school, do I?

Because I used a service that was all rented free of charge.

Looks like the rich guy was buying his stuff, but it's irrelevant to me to save my life.

All I have is all the alchemy I bought since graduation.

There are other notebooks that I wrote myself, but in relation to which I was also saving money, the contents are only those that summarize the main points. The majority is only in my head.

Even if it helps to evoke my own memories, it's impossible for Lorea to study with this.

So anyway, if I'm going to teach clearly, if I'm going to study for myself, I really need textbooks and stuff. Because I have a job for you too.

Well, I was wondering if I could keep the “Dictionary of Alchemy Materials” or something, so it might be a good opportunity.

Because I can afford some money now, and even my memory is hard to say is perfect.

That's why I thought, until those books arrived, they were just the same, and...

◇ ◇ ◇

"Thank you from today!

One morning, in front of me, Lorea stood holding only one cloth bag.

I bathe in the morning sun just ascended, and Lorea's floating smile dazzles.

"Uh... Lorea, already? Yesterday, today?

"Yes! Good says hurry."

No, I'm saying 'one morning', like some days went by, but I'm talking about the morning after we stayed.

Oh, my God, Lorea, I thought I'd been home once before the store opened, so I packed up quickly and moved in with those legs I was going to work on.

All I have is one big bag.

Even though Lorea is big enough to hold it with both hands, it's too little as moving luggage.

Hmm?... nothing?

On second thought, when I moved to this village, it was less.

We have everything you need for your life, like a bed or a futon, and if you need it, you can go back and get it. Because my parents are neighbors.

It's a bag big enough to hold, but it doesn't look that heavy, so isn't it just the change of clothes and stuff in it?

"Um... couldn't you?

I shake my head in a hurry because I've thought a little bit about it, or to Lorea, who clouds a smile that was just glowing and stares at me with an anxious look on her face.

"No, you can't, can you? No, but if you're moving in, I need to go say hello to Mr. Darna properly, too."

Otherwise this is like welcoming Lorea into our house as my brother-in-law.

Whatever Lorea's place of origin is in another town or something, she can't be such an imposter in the same village, and relatively neighborhood where her parents live but no greetings.

I'm not familiar with that area either, but if the orphanage seniors were to graduate and apprentice to some parent, someone who seemed to be there was even coming to say hello to the orphanage.

I was single digit old by then too, so I don't remember the details, but I think that's probably what it is.

But to my words, Lorea looked back at me strangely.

"Oh, is that a greeting? I've said it right, so you don't need anything, do you? I don't think my parents care either. No, rather, my parents should come and say hello"

"That's not how it works. You're keeping your daughter, so you need to say hello from me properly. as adult responsibility."

"Adults......?

Why do you ask questions there?

"I'm an adult! Only two years old is different, but me, adulthood. Lorea, you're a minor. Here, Zettai."

There! Don't tell me Lorea looks older.

It doesn't matter what you look like, does it? to position and responsibility.

For once, I have a high social standing!

Alchemy's License isn't Dade, is it? Hmm.

"I understand. If so, should I do it right? I can't afford to open much."

"No, I don't think it's that easy, even if it's late to open today..."

Rather, like, maybe a half break?

I'd like to say hello, too, but I'd like to get my mind ready for something.

Hand and souvenirs, should I prepare them?

... Should I make it tomorrow?

"No, what affects the store because of my circumstances. Let's hurry!

Lorea, who threw the bag she had into her room, pushed her back to Mr. Darna's, pushing her back to drive me away, slightly hipsided by her first experience.

Then I, too, will have to decide to be ready as an adult.

Just when I asked Darna and Marie, who were both there, 'May I take care of your daughter', I was greeted back by Darna and Marie very lightly, no, rather as I feared, 'I may inconvenience you, but thank you for your daughter', whether it should be unexpected or as Lorea said.

Ask them, Mr. Darna, if you could, they didn't want Lorea to carry on the grocery store job.

Though villages are a necessary profession and earn a little more than other villagers, grocery store work, which often goes back and forth between villages and towns, is never safe.

The Darnas have had dangerous eyes, too, and they are being attacked by bandits and losing their lives, such as the parents of their predecessor, Mr. Darnah, the grocery store.

That's why it's better to do a grocery store, even if there's some danger, compared to putting it to work in town without any guessing.

I even welcomed you to Lorea as my son-in-law with a strong arm and thought you would be a little safer...... if you would be able to work in an alchemist's shop that would be pretty much at the top in terms of stability and still be able to work with that in the future, Hail as a parent. They don't have any reason to disagree.

But I thought you seemed relatively safe between this village and South Strag, and sometimes there are bandits out there.

I was attacked, too, but that was a bandit hired by Yorke Barr, so things would be a little different.

Well, can't we expect much policing from the lords here?

Even look at the response when Hell Flame Grizzly came out of this village.

Inherently, ensuring street safety and policing is the job of the lords who rule the area.

Moreover, here in Associate Baron Kirk territory has a commercial city called South Strag, where street safety is the lifeline.

And yet, what are you doing...

The mastery seems to be working hard, but that's all I feel.

You mean you haven't got a loss account from a long-term perspective... a bad second generation or something like that?
