The Old Knight of a Frontier District

Episode 3 Running Down (Part I)

1

Bardo was stunned.

There isn't.

And there was a city, and the road was vanishing into the woods.

It was in the city of Cocochi that I met Baldo's fake.

The city, among the great lords of Yadbargi, is situated somewhat north of the centre and should reach Beaubard if you head straight east.

The Bardots headed straight south after leaving the city of Cocochi.

The purpose of this journey is often to rebuild Bardo's own body and mind in order to face a monster called Patarapoza.

One destination is Maisia, Linz and the king's capital of Parzam.

I wanted to see Jules again before I died.

I also wanted to see Jules' son, Baldrant.

No, no, now Baldrant may already have a brother or sister.

Embracing Baldrant and his siblings to give them the Word of Blessings is a goal that will inspire them to take to the old short Baldo and to travel all the time.

That's why we headed straight south from Kokochi.

Originally Bardo has never properly passed this Great Lord Yadbargi.

In the journey up to now, it was through Shesa, and the valley of fog, and by the waterfall, all the way east of it.

But that kind of tough journey is a little impossible for Bardo's body right now.

So he decided to move from the city to the city.

But there was no city.

Originally, there were no streets on the border.

Even the neighboring great lords don't have a lot of people coming and going.

More often than not, even among the same great lords, there is no such thing as a city to city.

Neighbouring cities and cities with something special come and go.

Nevertheless, since some people go errands to distant cities and wander around, there are quite a few rumors of other cities that can be passed on, and if they want to, they can travel from city to city.

But there is no city where they were told there was.

It is also numerous.

The southern half of the city of the Great Lord Yadbargi has disappeared.

No.

There are faint marks.

Evidence that there was a city there is left, if you look closely.

Then how did the city perish?

It was eaten by the woods.

The nature of the border is harsh.

So it is the battle against nature that makes and sustains villages and cities.

Even if you have a fine city, that doesn't mean you won naturally.

Whenever, by the trees, and by the beasts, and by the worms, the city shall not be consumed.

If you stay alert and fail to prepare for that battle, the forest erodes the city.

It was originally built on a dangerous equilibrium.

If erosion begins, the city will be devoured as we see it.

Bardo has seen so many cities and villages that have perished.

Nevertheless, this erosion seems to extend over a fairly wide area.

Maybe the very thing called the Great Lord Yadovalgi is no longer collapsing.

With the territory of the Great Lords all the way along the Ova River to the west, you'll know a little more about the circumstances if you go that far, but Bardo didn't want to stick around that far.

In the end, it became a continuing camp journey.

Bardo's body was smudging and screaming.

Unfortunately, this is what Baldo really is today.

Bardo sighed as he woke up shaking in the cold of dawn.

If your body is weak, your mind is weak.

I can't face Patarapoza in this condition or anything like that.

2.

Still, Bardo kept thinking desperately.

That I meet Patarapoza.

That is probably inevitable.

But what shall I do when I see him?

I'm not a decent fighter.

If General Appetite had challenged the battle without alarm in a state of plenty, Bardo would not have been able to win.

Now I know.

General Lust was tired of living and tried the world.

Destroy me, or I will destroy the world.

This was especially true during the second battle.

I can't think of any other reason why I fought in such a messy way.

He was a horrible man.

He was a big man.

But even the General of Appetite could not contend with the monster Patarapoza at all.

So does the Queen of Manuno.

Even that Queen of Manuno could not resist the power of Patarapoza and was used as a servant.

Isn't that what the queen said?

The king of evil spirits, he says, does not die, does not fade, and possesses mighty power.

And so are the dragon men again.

Hating so much Patarapoza, he continued to serve for hundreds of years.

I didn't want to do that.

So much so, Patara Poza is strong.

It would have comparable strength to the gods.

In that sense, he may also be called a pillar of God.

Fellows who explored the labyrinth behind Fuza's wind pit, Engdal and Yemite, said, "Call yourselves when confronting him.

But I didn't feel that way about Bardo.

It's not the kind of opponent you can fight with.

Face-to-face is inevitable.

Because he wants it.

Will Baldo's heart bear its heart opposite?

I wonder if this old body will become a cold wreck just because the monster flickers at me.

Calm down.

Don't be scared, Bardo Lowen.

Fear clouds your eyes and clouds your hands and feet.

Bardo tells himself that, but the more he sees who the monster is, the more fear springs in the depths of his heart.

I can't completely contain that fear.

On that arrow tip I thought I suppressed, fear springs up again.

What a feeling of powerlessness.

When I think about the monster, I feel like I want to throw my hands and feet out onto the earth and dissolve them on the ground and disappear as they are.

Bardo kept thinking, scolding himself like that.

Don't be scared, Bardo Lowen.

The bigger the weaker.

Think, think, Bardo Lowen.

What is the weakness of the monster?

It was a terribly difficult thing to keep your normal thoughts as you continue to camp, tired, chilled out bodies, and rocked by horses.

But that's fine.

That's good.

All I can think of is a tranquil thought, even if I let the measures go around in peace.

Sufferingly squeezed out thoughts in difficulty are the real measures.

Think.

Think.

He has great power.

One of its biggest things is reading the thoughts of others and manipulating their minds to dominate them.

But I can't use that greatest weapon.

If you give me my heart, I will have this ancient sword again.

In a good ancient sword, you cannot invoke King Jean's "Legacy".

So he will not rule my heart with his mighty curse.

I can't.

This is probably a certainty.

Don't doubt it, Bardo Lowen.

Don't doubt that.

And he cannot kill me easily.

He can only ask the users of the ancient sword to voluntarily cooperate with him.

If you kill me, you can wait for the next user to show up, and he may kill me at last.

But he'll try to convince me first.

There's room for negotiation there.

But when it comes to negotiating, what do I have to negotiate?

What am I supposed to pull from him?

And what can and should not be given to him?

Think, Bardo Lowen.

Think about it.

First, Baldo was driven by the urge to summon the "Corama's Angry Arrow".

This is not the first time.

Over and over again the temptation struck Bardo.

The ancient sword has the power to work on the Corama's Angry Arrow.

Didn't the dragon man Echidorkier also say that the call would arrive from a distance by and large?

The dragon men searched all over the continent and couldn't find the Corama's Angry Arrow.

So I thought I had to use the relay device to call to the end of the world.

But don't you see that?

Could it be hidden near the information?

If you call with this ancient sword.

If Bardo, the user, calls.

"Corama's Angry Arrow" may respond.

If we continue to call on [Cholama's Angry Arrow] as we walk around the continent, we might get a response back.

Bardo almost tried it.

But every time I try to, the dragonman's chief's face comes to my attention.

Since leaving the Cave of Trials, the Dragon Man has kept a creepy silence.

But really?

Isn't he secretly keeping an eye on Baldo?

Even in the moment you're doing this right now.

If Bardo can invoke the Corama's Angry Arrow, then the Dragon Man may appear immediately, rule Bardo's heart, and obtain the Corama's Angry Arrow.

If that happens, the monster Patarapoza may be destroyed, but hell awaits the humans.

Destiny awaits to be enslaved, served, torn and eaten by the dragon men.

For the dragon men, Patarapoza is an abominable enemy, but man is also like a thorn stung in the eye.

When they are once again the sword of the continent, man has nothing but despair.

But nevertheless.

If there was any certainty that we could summon the "Corama's Angry Arrow" to defeat the monster Patarapoza, Bardo might have tried it.

But how do I get to the island of captivity, even if I invoke the Arrow of the Wrath of the Korama?

There is no way to do that.

In other words, you can't defeat Patarapoza even if you invoke the Corama's Angry Arrow.

No, you can't.

No, you can't.

No way to try to win with force.

First of all, even if it's "Cholama's Angry Arrow," I don't know if there really is such a thing or if I can treat it as if I got it.

Bardo only knows about the Corama's Angry Arrow, as he heard from the Dragon Man's Head and from the Dragon Man Echidorkier.

You can't bet the future of man, of the continent, on something so vague.

This place should contain floating minds and have thoughts with feet on the ground.

Bardo is rocking on the back of a stump and a Uytan as he desperately sums up his thoughts.

Cars, of course, Seto, was careful not to disturb Baldo like that.

Eventually, the pounding and rain fell.

The rain legs grew stronger, and the three and the three horses were drenched.

Baldo Lowen.

Baldo Lowen.

3

"There's a hall over there.

It would be a knight's hall.

Aren't you the lord of this one?

Ask for an overnight stay over there. "

I said, pointing to the mansion where Seto looked like a cut of trees.

Bardo has never begged for an inn in a very aristocratic, or knight's, hall.

I prefer to rent lodging in Ganz if I have Ganz, or in a farmer's house if I don't have one.

Because I do not like hard things.

But the rain struck him for half a day, and Bardo was completely depressed.

I didn't even open my mouth and reply to Seto's words, I just nodded.

As I approached it, it was a very ancient but splendid hall.

Moreover, the mansion is spread over mountain skin and is of considerable size.

Seto got off the horse and slammed the door.

"I'm sorry!

I'm sorry. You're kidding me!

This will be Sir Bard Lowen, knight of the Fusarion, and his line.

We are reluctant to be rained down.

Could you lend me the overnight accommodation?

I'm sorry. You're kidding me!

I'm sorry. You're kidding me!

Seto kept hitting the door for a while.

Eventually the door opened thinly.

The person visible from the gap is putting up a candle.

Old man.

Plus, he's dressed in decent samurai clothes.

This hall looks more like a man of honor than I thought.

"Did you say to Master Bardo Lowen, Knight of Fusarion"

"I don't know."

"Aren't you Bardo Lowen, the knight of the pacra"

"My temple was originally in the knight of Pakla.

We are now at the service of the Olgazard family in the northern Fusarion on the border. "

The old samurai glanced at Bardo's face from the gap in the door.

The face that carved the annual wheel does seem to have ascertained Bardo's appearance in the darkness of the night.

Open the door wide, said the samurai.

"Please come in"

4.

The samurai welcomed the three Baldos into the hall.

My last name received the horse's knife.

He said he'd put me in the stables.

Thankfully.

When he kept his cape, hat, etc., the samurai guided the three upstairs.

Thankfully, the water was brought right away.

On a trip to the border, this is the place to be appreciated.

Often there is plenty of water to use because it is not indisposed by firewood trees.

Of course, it requires manpower, so the ability to provide these unexpected guests with immediate hospitality demonstrates that the servants are well-groomed.

The museum was a knight named Kurt Arendas.

That Sir Arendas,

"Speaking of Lord Bard Lowen, is that Lord Lowen of Pakla?

If so, please show us to your room immediately. "

and said he ordered the samurai.

I guess the squire felt a sense of respect and favor in that twisted voice.

There was politeness and warmth in the treatment of the Balds.

The Baldos, who were given a change of clothes and refreshed, were sent through the dining room to serve wine and stewed dishes.

"My husband wants to go to bed now, so if you'll excuse me tonight, I'd like to greet him again tomorrow."

That, of course, is to keep the Baldos, who would be tired, from giving them extra care.

To that evidence, the mansion was much larger, and even though it seemed to be inhabited by a large number of humans, it was only the low-status ones who came out before the Balds.

Sleeping in bed is really comfortable.

Bardo slept well.

5

I woke up a lot earlier the next morning.

There is only one Baldo in the room.

Each of them was given one room at a time.

Even though Seto is a light attire, he seems to have spotted himself as a near-knight substitute graduate.

Because all three of them are on horses, and Seto's horses are quite splendid horses, he who is conspicuous will discern that he is not just a squire.

There is a water drain on the pillow.

Moisturizing his dry throat, Bardo went back to his bunk again and thought.

My head is turning away neatly, and my thoughts are regaining their clarity.

There's nothing hard to think about.

Because it's clear from the beginning that you can't win.

But they don't want to kill this one right away.

There's a gap to follow in there.

What is this wish?

It means knowing the truth.

I want to know who the monster is.

I want to know what the monster is after.

I want to know the monster's strengths and weaknesses.

I want to know who the legacy is.

I want to get that and know what the monster is trying to do.

But never give them what they want.

That means this one will die.

I don't mind if I die.

Because there's nothing you have to do to survive.

You can choose death, which is our greatest strength.

The problem is, after that.

How do you leave things to be found out?

That's the problem.

That knowledge will be the light of guidance for those of later times.

To do this, someone needs to be present during a face-to-face meeting with Patarapoza.

The question is how can that attendant escape safely after the face to face with Patarapoza and Bardo is dead?

Patarapoza will not miss anyone who learns the secret.

Is there anyone who can still escape?

Beyond that, I didn't immediately think of it.

However, Bardo felt that my body and mind were becoming fuller.

You should have said that you had gone on a journey and bullied your body.

There is nothing to show.

You just have to slow down and boil your thoughts.

6.

Breakfast was served in their rooms.

Seto finished his meal early and came to Bardo's room to bake his care.

My lord sent me a message that I would stay another night.

He who was Lord at the dinner table said he wanted to greet him.

Bardo agreed.

The humans on the side of the mansion who arrived at their supper seats were three others besides our Lord Sir Kurt Arendas.

One is Slar Siena, the depths of Kurt.

Even though my husband Kurt is seventy years old graciously, Sler Siena is not yet more than twenty years old.

She is a flash-faced beauty.

Her eyes and mouth are huge, her jaw muscled and her face tight.

Just being there is a glorious woman around it.

Strangely enough, I just sent a modest glance to see where those eye movements and eyes were staring.

I just lifted my mouth slightly, and yeah, you're laughing.

Its eyes and mouth are really impressive, and the slightest change attracts this one's gaze.

Even though I don't make an exceptionally fantastic gesture, I have the feeling that I would be jerked off by the colour emitted by my wife.

She's such a flashy beauty, but she says the main thing in the dish is what a hand from the Mistress.

"My wife likes to cook.

No, no, no, it's in your mouth, please. "

The humility was completely unnecessary.

The dishes that the wife worked on are all wonderful and good.

Besides.

I wonder what to say.

It's warm and soft.

For example, this stewed mountain bird and yam.

It is well simmered and soft.

It tastes good, but it's not pushy.

It's not straightforward.

I feel terribly fluffy and gentle about my body.

It tastes really good, although it's not that it was handy when it was like the dish Camlar made.

It is a caring dish.

It could be called home.

What's wrong with the flashy face of your wife and the discrepancy with this dish?

No, I didn't, Bardo thought.

Your wife's heart is shown in this dish.

It looks like a fancy personality at first sight, but there's no way to make a face.

It is the kindness and compassion felt in this dish that represent the true character of this depths.

When it comes to the look of your wife and the flavour of this dish, which you believe, it has to be the flavour of the dish.

Do not let the appearance distract you.

This wife must actually be very homely and gentle.

The two after the jury are knights serving the Arrendas family.

A knight named Danga Ooz has a large and somewhat fierce atmosphere.

But martial arts are quite something.

The knight named Shema Idar is idle and elegant in his work.

I tried to use this guy pretty hard too, but it didn't seem like it would extend to danga.

Surprisingly, while living so far away, Kurt said he had heard rumors about the Pacla-era Baldo.

This evening's meal was quite delightful.

Seto was also allowed to sit at Kurt's table, but he talked funny about the journey and other things, and made the dining table run wild.

That's good, but Bardo's had one thing on his mind.

The knight Danga looks at his wife.

That was not as eye-catching as looking at the master's wife.

And as the beast of carnivores had the heat to see his prey, so seemed Baldo.
