The giant greatsword made of metal wielded by the skeleton knight was covered in dark energy, making its durability incredibly amazing.

Even after taking hundreds of shots from armor-piercing rounds capable of attacking armored vehicles, it only left shallow dents on the greatsword.

If this were an A-rank skeleton knight, things would have been different because it would be equipped with heavy armor instead of only wearing rough cloth like this.

"Brann!"

They understood each other so well that Kael only needed to call Brann’s name for him to know what to do. Brann’s muscles tensed up, then they quickly transformed into something that looked like metal.

While Ron’s D-rank ability was only fragile stone, Brann’s ability to transform his body was on a completely different level.

This special metal had its own toughness, making it impossible to break Brann’s body without being much stronger than him.

Despite his massive body, Brann moved incredibly fast. Knowing the shooting pattern of his teammates, he moved toward the direction without bullets and quickly closed in on the skeleton knight.

Like a giant bear, Brann swung his fist hard toward the skeleton knight, leaving it with no choice but to raise its greatsword to block the attack.

The sound of two different kinds of metal colliding created a deafening noise. Although Brann’s tremendous strength was somewhat inferior to the skeleton knight’s, holding the stalemate for a few more seconds was not a problem.

Brann’s other teammates did not miss this opportunity and fired at the positions the skeleton knight could not defend. The barrage of bullets tore apart the skeleton knight’s clothing, revealing its white bones.

The energy core on the skeleton knight’s chest was completely exposed. Kael’s eyes immediately locked onto that spot.

Kael raised his bow, the muscles in his arms working at full power to pull the bowstring. The special bow made specifically for him required a pulling force that an ordinary person could not handle, no matter how much they worked out at the gym.

The special metal arrow affected by Kael’s ability quickly turned red from the heat. Even though its temperature rose extremely high, the arrow showed no sign of warping from melting.

"Let’s end this."

Kael let go. The arrow tore through the air at a speed even faster than the bullets, heading straight for the skeleton knight’s energy core.

But a B-rank monster was no pushover either. Its extremely fast reflexes and combat instincts made it immediately make a choice.

The skeleton knight immediately gave up on confronting Brann. It turned around as fast as lightning and blocked Kael’s arrow.

Knowing that blocking it head-on would fail, the skeleton knight did not directly block the attack but tilted the greatsword slightly to deflect the arrow.

Of course, the arrow carrying Kael’s ability was not something that could be rendered useless so easily. The moment it touched the greatsword, the arrow immediately exploded.

The explosion released terrifying energy that sent the skeleton knight flying, causing it to crash into a giant stone pillar.

It was not simply a collision, as the impact was so powerful that it smashed through several large stone pillars in succession, causing the entire cave to shake violently.

The aftermath of the battle forced Mark to keep retreating. It was only when he planted his spear into the ground that he could barely remain standing.

The heat blowing toward him made Mark sweat. His eyes trembled as he witnessed such an extraordinary battle for the first time.

"Good grief, are they even human anymore? If a B-rank hunter were placed in ancient times, they could probably wipe out an entire army by themselves without needing any schemes."

While Mark stood there blankly staring at everything like an idiot, Alice had already arrived beside Brann without him noticing and was using her healing ability.

"Thanks. It was only a brief clash, but my arm hurts this badly. A B-rank boss really isn’t easy to deal with."

The struggle only lasted a few seconds, yet Brann’s fist hurt as if it had already been broken. And if he didn’t have the ability to turn his body into metal, it really would have been broken.

Everyone on the team, no matter what else they were doing, focused their eyes on the cloud of dust caused by the skeleton knight crashing into the stone pillars.
