Chapter 49: Live Stream
Nexus left behind a sentence that sounded profound but was more like something an irresponsible master would say before leaving his disciple to fend for himself.
"Master! I don’t want to become an immortal! I just want to get a little stronger. At most, I want to be as strong as an S-rank hunter. I never said I wanted to become an immortal."
Because he was in a soul state, Mark couldn’t shed tears, but he was crying his eyes out. He had never said he wanted to become an immortal or some kind of god or anything, so why was his master pulling something this cruel?

Bell frowned and stared at the computer screen for a few seconds before realizing that the main character in the video was Mark, causing his eyes to widen.

Lailah had been by Bell’s side all week. They spent so much time together that Mia was insanely jealous but couldn’t do anything about it.
Lailah also really wanted to find Nexus, but the universal compass had such a long cooldown that she had no other choice.
She also didn’t plan to ask Bell to find him because she knew it would be useless. She wasn’t like that nervous system that thought Nexus was a useless piece of trash.
