The Peerless Kobold (WN)

Robbers and vigilantes with village chief's daughter

When five cobolts and a red-haired demon mentor were encountering a red beetle, the so-called Red Insect, near the village of Viel, there was a group armed with a dozen light armored figures sneaking into the village of destination.

Here recently, a burglar had appeared near the streets connecting the city of Warren with the town of Zergla as its starting point, plus the streets extending to the village of Viel, and reports had reached each guild branch that merchants had been attacked and several dead.

Just a month or so ago, when the “iron” adventurers rushed out to the eastern forests of the eastern tip of the Ferrias territory at their request, it is presumed that it was the beginning of the damage caused by the bandits that were stripped of their figure.

In the remarks section of the report on the robbery damage circulated in the aforementioned guild…

“Even though the first and second victims claim that they were attacked by an abnormally developed cobolt, rather than a burglar, they are not credible because none of the characteristic injuries are present”

etc., and it was written...... it is a pity.

Although it contains some misunderstandings about the factual relationship, the content of the report was generally correct, and the existence of the bandits actually became rumoured shortly after that incident.

A certain number of rogues exist at any given time.

Its origins range from eaten peasants, broken gold and bloody mercenaries, and adventurers dyed their hands in evil. Among them, it is commonly known that mercenaries and others, especially those who devour them during normal times, commit acts of looting.

And the beginning and end that it is also mercenaries who protect towns and villages from their bandits, forcing demand and supply there. In malicious cases, half of the mercenary corps even played a pirate role, and the other half became escorts and deceived towns and villages.

It should be noted that the armed group heading to the village of Viel is not such a clever one, but merely a burglar.

The look of the head leading them was such as a typical mercenary collapse, wearing an armor called Brigandine tied together with a piece of metal inside, with a hammer in his hand specializing in penetrating the opponent's armor.

"Now, take what you want and let's just get out of this territory..."

"Hey head, I've been in this territory for quite a while... it's time to wrap your tail around it or you'll be hunted by the Lord's army"

Basically, a burglar is a drifter. If you stay in one place, you will naturally be alerted and crusaded, so you will leave the land after temporarily working evil. Lords on the control side are also familiar with that, and many make the choice not to move aggressively until the damage becomes unacceptable.

If you are going to crusade in earnest, you need to search the woods with poor vision and the thieves lurking in the mountains with man-made sea tactics, because the economic cost is not foolish.

The earlier light-hearted word of a burglar also took that reality into account, suggesting the possibility that a lord would go on crusade with his back if he stayed any longer.

"Well, even if we leave here, we have roadblocks, and at the end of the day, we're going flashy...... Giselle, report it"

"Hey, the village of Viel is a small village with about 180 people in 40 households. There are 80 men and women at the heart of each household, save the kid by simple calculations... of which 40 are half men."

"Then there will be around 10 amateurs who don't care about us and turn to us. Of course, there's no problem, you guys?

The head looks back and looks ahead at the figure of 18 men.

"Your head, you just have to kill the amateur almost two to one, you can afford it."

"Ha, no."

The burglars under his command grin brutally.

... It's no surprise that one or two of our former mercenaries and adventurers are the same as ourselves among those coming to our teeth, but the head gave priority to raising morale without saying it and continued to say words to the subordinates who would raise their momentum as they thought.

"For once, I would warn you to just give me the golden-eyed stuff first... but if you listen to me honestly, I've never been over it"

The bandits were also thinking about adding and subtracting human damage in vain, as the chasers could be turned against them even if they fled into another territory.

But they didn't know.

That during the harvest some time ago, there was nothing the village could offer because of the beetle-shaped demons that broke out around the fields that spread around the village of Viel and devoured the crops.

After a while, the bandits were to confront the girl named daughter of the village chief, protected by five armed village vigilantes, at the entrance to the village.

……………

………

"So, pointing the sword at me means... you're not willing to obey me, are you?

"I told you earlier, there's nothing in this village I can offer you."

The head of the bandit stares at the girl who came out to negotiate.

"Let me wait and see if that's the reply...... I don't have enough sincerity!

"Huh..."

The girl shows fright when she is yelled at with a tough face.

She is just a village daughter, although she came out shaking off her mother to stop, considering her father, who has been sick for months and cannot walk properly.

Village vigilante men were moving forward to shelter her.

"... you guys are so nari and motivated?

The vigilantes' gear is such as a sword that looks shattered on used leather armor and doesn't look strong in flattery.

"Fine, I'll deal with him."

The bandits laugh with a thin smile, but there seems to be no sign of retreating to the girl confronting the bandits with her temper. As both sides continue to stare at each other, one of the bandits finds something and shouts out.

"Head, look at me!

While the vigilantes are buying time, they are blamed for seeing people in the village of Viel with their children sneaking away.

"Hey, how dare you guys run off on your own!!

”Apparently, I can't buy you any more time."

and the village chief's daughter, Maril bit her teeth...
