Chapter 947 - You Are My God!
Han Wu erupted with authority, tearing free of the five Huang Shengjuns pinning him down. He oozed out power like a flood.
The World Ring appeared first, manifesting before everyone and transforming into the imposing Great Dragon Ring. In an instant, his aura became far more domineering and aggressive.
That was only the beginning. Han Wu activated the Third Stage of his Demon King Transformation, Fetterbane Dragonforge. A terrifying, tyrannical, savage pressure exploded outward as he expanded to a towering height of 100,000 meters.
Some of the weaker units suffered ruptured internal organs on the spot from the sheer force of his presence alone. Even the Major Gods, masked guards, and other powerful units felt crushing despair wash over them.
Su Lan and the former Dark Faction members were equally stunned.
“Su Lan, your student is absurdly strong!” one of them exclaimed.
Su Lan abandoned every shred of composure and cried out in pure awe, “Han Wu, you are my God!”
Revealing his full strength was enough to intimidate everyone present. However, Han Wu could sense more Light Faction members rushing toward the area. The ordinary units didn’t concern him. The masked guards did, or rather, the Huang Shengjuns.
More of them arrived, gathered in formation, and their auras started merging. Because they were all Huang Shengjun, their energy signatures were perfectly identical, and the fusion reached complete synchronization. A giant, amplified projection of Huang Shengjun took shape above them.
From the projection, Han Wu recognized the War Faction’s Formation Might technique.
The Huang Shengjuns roared in unison and threw a punch. The projection mirrored the motion, sending a colossal fist at Han Wu with a force ten times greater than that of an ordinary Microcosm life form.
Han Wu was a Subcosm powerhouse, far above the Microcosm rank. He raised a hand and effortlessly swatted the combined strike. Without pause, he drew out his Light Aspect and held it high.
The Light Aspect erupted into an endless flood of divine radiance. Under Paradise Island’s unique conditions, the light grew dozens of times more intense than usual.
Han Wu scattered it outward like a shower of seeds. The radiance split into countless light arrows, each as powerful as an aurora bolt, and wiped out more than sixty percent of the Light Faction’s units in a single sweep.
Even the Major Gods struck by the attack suffered heavy injuries and couldn’t recover quickly.
The Huang Shengjuns rallied Formation Might once more and blocked Han Wu’s attack. As more Huang Shengjuns joined, the formation’s power continued to grow.
Han Wu couldn’t afford to drag out the fight. Every passing moment only put him at a disadvantage. As such, he drew a second Divine Aspect, the Death Aspect.
Dense Death Energy gathered in his palm and condensed into a gray sphere the size of a small fruit. He swallowed it in one gulp. Then he aimed at the formation, activated Proclamation of Death, and shouted, “Die!”
Death swept through the air like a passing breeze. More than a dozen Huang Shengjuns collapsed instantly as death claimed them.
Han Wu immediately coughed up a mouthful of blood. Killing more than a dozen Microcosm beings with a single Proclamation had burned through every last bit of Death Energy converted from his reserves. If he hadn’t possessed such a resilient physique, the energy drain alone would have left him incapacitated.
With the Huang Shengjuns dealt with, Han Wu ignored the remaining Major Gods and units. He bent down, scooped up the former Dark Faction members, and prepared to charge forward.
He was right at Paradise Island’s outer edge. Only a short distance remained before he could escape. Once outside, he could reconnect with his divine realm, summon his units, and access his Microcosms.
He had barely taken two steps when an icy chill ran down his back. In the next instant, a gleaming spear plummeted from the sky, pierced clean through him, and pinned his towering 100,000-meter frame to the ground.
Han Wu strained with everything he had to push himself up, but he couldn’t move. Agony ripped through his chest, and blood sprayed from his mouth in violent sprays.
The former Dark Faction members he had been shielding in his hands leapt down and tried to wrench the spear free with their suppressed strength. It didn’t even budge.
A regal, absolute voice reached their ears. “You think you can escape my strike?”
Han Wu recognized the voice. It belonged to the Light God King. They had met once before, and their opposing ideals had put them at odds from the beginning. Now they faced each other again.
“It’s over. It’s all over.”
The former Dark Faction members sank into despair. The Light God King’s arrival meant that Han Wu had failed to escape and that they were all going to die there.
Under the Light God King’s pure, overwhelming pressure, Han Wu felt as though a mountain were bearing down on him. He realized that at the Subcosm rank, he couldn’t gauge the Light God King’s true power. That could only mean one thing. The Light God King was stronger than him.
“Hand over Elina,” the Light God King commanded. His voice carried a force that made even Major Gods feel compelled to obey.
The unconscious Elina was handed over without resistance. The Light God King gave her a quick examination. Once he confirmed that she was unharmed, he turned his attention back to Han Wu and the others.
In the Light God King’s eyes, Su Lan and her group were Dark Faction remnants who had to be eliminated. On the other hand, Han Wu was not a Dark Faction member. He could spare his life and use him as leverage against the rising Wisdom Faction. If necessary, Han Wu could become the spark that ignited a conflict. A living Han Wu was worth far more than a dead one.
“Keep Han Wu alive. Kill the rest.” The Light God King issued his decree.
The Major Gods and Gods answered the call, mobilizing waves of units to launch suicidal charges against Su Lan and the others.
The former Dark Faction members were seasoned veterans and formidable fighters in their own right. Even on Paradise Island, where Dark Energy was severely restricted, their hand-to-hand combat skills allowed them to hold back the swarm of units for a while.
However, holding them back was all they could do. In the end, the Light Faction would grind them down. A heavy sense of despair settled over every one of them.
