Chapter 2300 - 2293: Wife, Use More Strength
"Bastard, if Miss finds out, I will definitely kill you!" Ah Fei stamped his foot in anger.
"Ah Fei, what are you talking about?" Leng Qingqian’s somewhat weak voice sounded.
Leng Qingqian suddenly woke up, giving Ah Fei a start and he replied somewhat flustered, "N-nothing."
Leng Qingqian sat up on the bed, looking a bit confused, "Did I get sick again?"
Ah Fei nodded, "Hmm, it was that bastard who saved you."
Though reluctant to admit it, it was indeed Wang Dadong who cured Leng Qingqian.
"Looks like he’s not just a poser, but actually has some real skills," Leng Qingqian said, her beautiful eyes squinting slightly.
"What real skills? He’s just a bastard. Miss’s Reverse Dragon Seven Needles can’t be used on herself, otherwise, she could surely heal herself," Ah Fei said angrily.
Leng Qingqian shook her head, "My illness isn’t that simple. Even with the Reverse Dragon Seven Needles, it might take The Sixth Needle, The Seventh Needle to completely cure me. I’ve only learned three needles so far."
"Miss has such great talent, you’ll definitely fully master the Reverse Dragon Seven Needles sooner or later."
"Anyway, we have to thank him this time. Ah Fei, do you know how he did it? I’ve never felt this good before," Leng Qingqian suddenly asked.
"I-I don’t know." Ah Fei’s expression was a bit unnatural; he couldn’t just say she drank Wang Dadong’s a**wad water.
"Never mind, you’re just a martial artist, it’s normal not to understand." Fortunately, Leng Qingqian didn’t pursue the matter further.
Ah Fei finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Leng Qingqian knocked on Wang Dadong’s door, planning to thank him personally, but there seemed to be no one inside.
"I just saw Doctor Wang go to the deck." Zhang Peng, who lived next to Wang Dadong, said.
"Oh, thanks."
Looking at Leng Qingqian’s perfect figure, Zhang Peng felt a bit warm inside; sometimes, conquering a cold woman feels even more rewarding. But Zhang Peng knew that a woman like Leng Qingqian, with a heart higher than the sky, wouldn’t even look at him.
On the deck, Wang Dadong was holding a fishing rod, seemingly fishing.
What surprised Leng Qingqian was that Wang Dadong’s hook was straight.
"What are you doing?" Leng Qingqian asked curiously.
"Of course, I’m fishing," Wang Dadong replied nonchalantly.
"Fishing? Your hook is straight; how can you catch fish?"
Wang Dadong’s face showed a mysterious smile, "Those who want to bite will bite."
"You think you’re Grand Duke Jiang? ’Those who want to bite will bite’," Leng Qingqian said disdainfully; she didn’t believe a straight hook could catch fish.
Seeing Leng Qingqian’s disbelief, Wang Dadong said, "How about we make a bet?"
"Bet what?"
"If I catch a fish, you’ll become my wife, how about that?"
"Boring, who wants to be your wife."
"So, do you believe I can catch a fish or not?"
"I don’t believe it."
"Then you’ll be my wife."
"You haven’t caught a fish yet!" Leng Qingqian, not very articulate, found herself caught in Wang Dadong’s verbal trap, a rare blush creeping across her face.
Wang Dadong chuckled, "Watch closely, my dear wife, I’ll catch a fish for you right now."
"Don’t call me your dear wife!"
"Oh, then call you wife."
"No!"
Leng Qingqian originally intended to thank Wang Dadong, but before she could say a word of thanks, she was teased, seething with anger but helpless against Wang Dadong.
"I’ll just watch how you catch a fish," Leng Qingqian thought to herself, not realizing she would lose either way in this bet since Wang Dadong never gave her any stakes.
"A bite, it’s a bite! Dear wife, quick, help me pull it up!" Wang Dadong suddenly shouted.
"Nonsense, you don’t even have a float; how do you know it’s bitten?" Leng Qingqian said disdainfully, not realizing Wang Dadong called her dear wife and she didn’t refute.
"Oh, it’s a big one, it might be a shark, I can’t hold on, come help me," Wang Dadong called out again.
Leng Qingqian skeptically gripped the fishing rod; the next moment, she felt a strong force pulling at the rod, as if to drag her into the sea.
"Dear wife, didn’t I say so? Let’s pull it up together," Wang Dadong said with a teasing grin.
And so, the two of them, one in front and one behind, grabbed the fishing rod and started pulling.
Due to their close proximity and combined effort, some physical contact was inevitable.
The soft, bouncy places rubbed against Wang Dadong’s arms, giving him immense enjoyment.
"Wife, put some strength into it, didn’t you eat?"
"Pull, pull!"
Finally, with their combined strength, a little over a meter long shark was pulled onto the deck.
"Oh wow, finally pulled it up, I’m exhausted," Wang Dadong said, deliberately wiping his sweat.
A smile also appeared on Leng Qingqian’s face.
Ah Fei watched this scene from afar, his eyes filled with disbelief; was this the same Miss he knew? She actually smiled; this was the first time Miss had smiled. Unexpectedly, Miss looked so beautiful when she smiled.
"You look really pretty when you smile," Wang Dadong praised sincerely.
As soon as Wang Dadong finished speaking, the smile on Leng Qingqian’s face disappeared, reverting back to an iceberg demeanor.
"Call me your wife again, and I will kill you!" Leng Qingqian said, turning around and leaving.
Wang Dadong felt a bit annoyed; had he known, he wouldn’t have complimented her smile.
He tossed the shark back into the sea, suddenly losing the mood for fishing.
"Something’s wrong, Brother Dong!"
Fortunately, at that moment, King Kong rushed in, flustered.
"What’s wrong? Has Leng Bingbing fallen sick again?"
"No, there’s something wrong with our ship. It seems like we’ve encountered the Ghost Ship!" King Kong broke out in a cold sweat, clearly terrified.
Wang Dadong immediately followed King Kong to the back deck of the ship.
Sure enough, a few hundred meters behind was a sailboat trailing the passenger ship.
The sailboat was entirely wooden, with torn sails, a broken mast, tattered and rolling with the waves, intermittently visible in the night, as though it could break apart at any moment.
Yet, despite this, it followed the passenger ship steadily.
"Is that really a Ghost Ship?"
"We’re doomed; we’re all going to die here."
A good number of people stood on the deck, pointing at the sailboat behind, their faces filled with fear.
Rumor had it the Ghost Ship was the ghost of a dead ship, swallowing any vessels it encountered, much like a water ghost seeking a doomed replacement.
"Increase to maximum speed!" The captain, an old man with a big beard, ordered, slightly astonished.
"Captain, speed is already at maximum," someone reported.
The white passenger ship speeded along the sea like an arrow, drawing a long trail on the ocean surface.
