15 Stories: Scarlet Dragon * 2

Mr. Redgard came to see me that day as well.

... and that day became a day to remember.

"Evil, no! Wipe something. Give me that!

"Yes."

Handing him a towel at his doorstep, he thanked him and started wiping his body.

... Yes.

"No, it's raining! It came down suddenly."

Today is the first rainy day I've come to another world.

Speaking of which, it's the first rainy day you've come to this world. The rain feels so fresh because it's been sunny ever since.

... I'm so glad it didn't rain once when I was in the wild.

"I don't know what to do. The horse was also roofed, did you get it on?"

"Yeah. I drew it in a hurry because it came down"

When it rained, the horses were wet and pathetic, so I gently built a roof next to the water bath so the horses could stay in the rain.

... By the way, as a water bath, I built a cabin next to the fountain, but that's because Mr. Redgard started coming to see me for a little while. Yeah, he comes abruptly, so if you suck at it, that, because you see it....... yeah. Because that's a little embarrassing after all.

"Horses are happy, too. Let me stay in the rain and we'll have a comfortable place."

Speaking of which, this neighborhood is totally, a playground for Heavenly Horse and Unicorn. When I realized it, a hell of a number was coming. I think I can run the ranch.

And because of that outrageous number of horses to come, it was also decided to make a place for rain shelter widely available. Yeah. I still get so tired when I materialize something big.

But I grew up, too, I guess? I would have passed out if I had painted a roof this size before, but I'm fine now.

... make it, glad it hasn't rained before.

"Speaking of which, doesn't it rain much around here?

Speaking of which, it hasn't rained in over a month, so I asked.

Then.

"Hmm? No, I don't think that's why...... oh, but it's been a little over half a month since I got down here before this, is it? Yeah, maybe not much these days."

... Mr. Redgard gave me that answer.

Is that it? A little over half a month ago... when I met the bird? Or a little while ago? Well, either way, it was when I was in the wild, but, sure, there wasn't any rain by then, I guess.

Could it have only been raining in the woods? No, no way......

"Uh, towgo. I'm sorry, can I stay here today? Rain, it's not going to stop..."

"Yeah. Go ahead."

And Mr. Redgard seems to have decided to stay. I don't mind.

... Look, it's not just 'materializing what you paint on the picture', but 'reflecting what you paint on the picture on the entity' makes building rooms easier. I made a room. Now Mr. Redgard can take his time all he wants. I can do whatever I want with people. Hooray.

"Oh, shit, I don't know if we can stop this soon..."

Mr. Redgard is sighing as he scratches his head and looks out the window.

"Rain, don't you like it?

"Hmm? Well... right, I don't really like it... Especially on the go."

Yeah. I might not like the rain on the go a bit. I can see that.

"What about you? Rain, do you like it?

"Yeah."

I like rain. Although the paint is hard to dry or the laundry does not dry. But I like blurring out the window at the rain that's falling softly.

And on a rainy day, it's fine. All the noises around me have disappeared, and it all makes a rain noise. The area is in the woods so it's originally quiet, but still, the atmosphere is different on rainy days. Smoking white, the trees in the distance look light green, and gray. Yeah, I'd like to draw a picture of this forest, too.... I guess I'll draw it out of hand appropriately so that it doesn't materialize weirdly when I draw it.

I started painting woods at home. [M] Mr. Redgard is taking his time in the house.

... Speaking of which, I don't know him very well.

He doesn't seem to have much hesitation in talking about him himself, but I don't really talk about me either, so I don't think it's kind of reciprocal to just ask, and we only know each other the least we need to do.

But apparently, Mr. Redgard has been having a rough time at home lately, and I know that.

He said it was hard to clean up the poachers.

I heard his house is doing a whole bunch of lords over here, but I mean, I guess that means he's noble.

And because of that, it sounds like a lot of trouble. They're pretty exempt from dating, the kind of socializing, because he's the second son, but they're making him run to control the evil in the territory, or something like that. Yeah, although I'm not sure.

... Well, I mean, I think that when Mr. Redgard comes here to visit, it's generally when he wants to rest.

It's quiet here, and I think it's a good place. The horses are here.

It's just... the only thing that bothers me is how Mr. Redgard got here.

I asked him how long it would take to get from here to his house, but he said, 'Maybe if I walked without knowing the way, it would take a little over half a day. But I know where it is, and if I fly quite a bit, it'll be about an hour.' I wonder what I can fly down a half-day road in an hour.

... There's one more thing that bothers me.

That's how Mr. Redgard helped me out of the poachers.

I don't know because I passed out so quickly... but how many poachers were there catching up with me? If everyone tied up on the rope was chasing us through the rope then there would have been more than 10 of us.

Did you deal with that by yourself, Mr. Redgard?... but he doesn't have anything particularly weapon-like.

Hmmm...... well no. I guess it's just useless to think about it. If you're really curious, next time, let's ask.

I stopped thinking and started concentrating on the forest paintings again.

The forest on a rainy day is still beautiful. But it's hard to describe rain.

... Before, in an oil painting, I saw the guy in the rainforest. There's a forest, there's a river, and there's rain pouring down and smoking white, and then, not fog, but proper rain paintings.

I'd like to paint a guy like that, too, if I could. I've only been coming in watercolors since I came to this world, but I think it's time to get some oil paint out. I think if you draw oil paint, it will come out. Yeah, I have a faint memory, so I'll have to work a little hard to remember...

The forest is a little cold on a rainy day. The only shirts and trousers I painted clutterfully seem a little chilly.

I get goosebumps under my shirt. Yeah, I knew it was cold. I'm the type of person who originally wanted to close all the way to the first button, so it won't get any warmer.

I was wondering if I should also have something to weave, for now I think I'll overdo it with a blanket. It's raining around the corner now, so I want to paint a rainforest. I don't have time to draw feathers.

... Well, then I guess I'll bring a blanket, and I stood up, that was then.

The horses, they hissed.

Like I'm scared of something.

Gaze far away. Then surely, in the rain... I can see something approaching me.

It's definitely coming this way, wet by the pouring rain softly... a few people in hooded capes.

And... made of water, a giant snake, was.

My first thought was that you're beautiful.

A serpent made of water, although people don't know it very well, is very beautiful. The green of the forest is visible across the clear body. Ripples float on the surface of the body when struck by rain. And the shaking body every time it moves and the distorted landscape in it.

... There are some really strange creatures out there, it seems. No, although I don't know if that's a creature.

Anyway, I saw a bunch of them… I felt something like a crisis, and still, I watched them.

It was then.

One of the people said something and a serpent of water heard it, shaking its tail up......

... the horses shook their tails down to the raining roof.

Awesome noise. The roof, which is ground with wooden planks, cracks and crushes. The beam broke and the pillars fell.

... and the horses that were raining beneath them fled everywhere hissing... and eventually came to me.

The Heavenly Horses spread their wings and stood in front of the house. The unicorn beast lowers its posture even further in front of it, in a horned attack posture.

I also put my painting tools on the boulder and went down in front of the house.

"Hmm. There's a strange kid inside. Seems like a man from what I've seen, but I didn't expect to miss unicorns so much.... a warcrafter?

The Hood who approached us laughed when he said so.... an unpleasant smile. I have seen it many times in the original world. Awesome, disgusting face.

"... what can I do for you, my horse"

I was surrounded by horses. Then I couldn't fit in, but I said so. [M] Don't hide your will to 'leave now, whether you need me or not'.

"Horse, huh? Hehe, calling pegasus and unicorns horses is hilarious inside.... but you do. There's nothing for 'now' Pegasus or unicorns. Whatever you need, I'd like to have it..."

... When I heard the word 'get it,' I guessed.

These guys are fellow poachers.

"Our purpose is to be the second son of Redgard.... you're here? Let's get you out of here."

"... I'm not here."

"Ha. I have trouble getting a clear lie thrown up. We know he's here."

Yeah, well, I guess.

"I was there, but I'm already home. Before the rain gets worse. Looks like you're busy. He."

"... right"

I felt it was difficult to penetrate the boulder just because it was "not here", so I got a little leg color. But I guess this isn't weird. Maybe.

Because of Mr. Redgard's character, he has no hesitation about staying at my house. Well, yes... apparently the person in front of him knows about Mr. Redgard, and then he knows he's busy.

... and if you think.

There was something wrapped around my body.

What, before I thought, my body was tightened. Tightening me up was the tail of a water serpent that appeared at my feet at some point.

Heavenly horses rush to blink their judgment wings, unicorn beasts poke water serpents, but they don't accept any attacks on bodies made of water. I tried to get back, but my hands just went into the water, and I couldn't resist. Yet the strength to tighten me was growing.

"Ugh."

With my voice, my breath leaked. The lungs are compressed from rib to rib and the air drains out of the body.

My bones broke. Painful. Feels like blood on your head. My head is hot. But it's cold and cold where it's being touched.

... the moment I thought I was going to be strangled like this, my strength to tighten me up weakened.

Suddenly the air enters my lungs and I cough up. There was water in the heap.

"Poor thing. Apparently, you're not trusted by Redgard. If he'd revealed what was in his hand, he wouldn't have vomited such lies."

"... Huh?

That's what the Hood guy said, then instructed the water serpent to do something.

As soon as I do, my body will be lifted high. Heavenly Horses tried to help me when they flew in bulk, but the strange serpent's tail remained grasping me.

"You wouldn't have to worry about someone you don't trust, would you? Come on, say it. Where is he?

I was confused by the meaning of the words I was told, but now that I know I'm not supposed to tell you where Mr. Redgard is here, I just kept my mouth shut.

"... Hmm. Then blame me from the inside."

Then, when the tail of the snake that was closing me up, it stretched out to my mouth.

... Oh, isn't this a bad one?

My bad feeling is that the tail of a snake made of water tries to get into my mouth. No, this is a bad one. Drowning. The one who drowns.

But I couldn't help it, so I managed to shake my neck and scratch my feet to escape the snake's tail...

"Hey! What are you doing?

... Oh, yeah. They're here.

"Let him go. That's what I'm here for, right? Oh?"

Mr. Redgard was coming out of the house.

As soon as Mr. Redgard came out, the snake's tail stopped targeting my mouth. Distracted, apparently.

I'm glad I saved you, but I'm not happy I saved you. Whatever you think, this is a bad situation.

"Are you finally out"

"Oops. I heard voices. You woke up. What are you gonna do?"

Mr. Redgard comes out the front door and walks straight towards us. Shouldn't this come...

"Hmm. Apparently he's also thoughtful of this kid, huh?

"... oh. A benefactor."

... Yeah, it's my fault. This. I don't think Mr. Redgard should have come out, but he had to because I got caught. I'm so sorry.

"Right. Then here and now, would it be interesting to try strangling this kid?

"Hey!"

For a moment, the strength to tighten me became stronger, but the moment Mr. Redgard's anger rose, the tightening weakened again.

"... stop. Give him a hand. I get angry too, but neither Pegasus nor Unicorn... even the spirits of this forest won't shut up. Maybe."

"Ha. Spirit, huh? You wanted me to complain a little better. However... it seems certain that Pegasus and Unicorn are not silent. Then I don't want to have a useless fight here."

That's what the Hood guy said and gave me a disgusting smile... I said.

"Drop your gear, adult. Well, I guess we could have fought in the rain."

Mr. Redgard glanced at them. Its eyes are as bright and sharp as fire.

... and he threw himself into the fountain, removing the bracelet and ear decorations and the jewels that were decorated in the cross tie.

Po, there was a noise, and the spring would sink about four bright red gems into its bottom.

"... well. It's clean inside."

"Heh. Hi there."

When Mr. Redgard told him to throw up like that, he sat tight on the grass on the spot.

"Ooh. If you want to take me, take me. But don't let that kid go, okay?

"It's quick and helpful. Incompetence."

When the Hood person signals, the other Hood people come and rope Mr. Redgard.... and.

"Hey! I would have let him go!

The rope began to hang on me, too.

"Huh. When you get your hands on this kid, Pegasus and Unicorn don't shut up, did they?... Doesn't this kid mean he'll be a good bait? Naturally, there's no way we're gonna miss that valuable bait, is there?

After both me and Mr. Redgard were tied up, the water serpent snaked me and Mr. Redgard.

"Don't worry. I don't kill. … here,"

"Holy shit......!

And we were swallowed up by the water serpent... and lost consciousness.
