The picturesque rice cakes are delicious today
Episode 12: Sweet Traps and Trap Breaks * 7
From that day on, I began to do things that looked like a forest.
However, I didn't really understand what it was like to be in the woods... so I decided to go for a walk in the woods with Claire.
"For now, please."
"Ah, thank you...."
Mr Crowe seemed to be unfamiliar with walking in the woods, so I asked a horse to give her a ride.
The horse had a few horses that were very enthusiastic, so some of them took turns carrying Mr Crowe.... by the way, some of the other heads will be carrying Laocles with me.
... these horses seemed to like women even more, and they were a little reluctant to ride me or Laocles. Yeah. No, thanks for the ride.
"Um... where is this going?
"Now... for now, I said to the horses, 'Please go to the recommended place.'"
But these motorcycles, anyway, they seem to be very enthusiastic about carrying Claire and taking her to an even more beautiful place in the woods... well, it's a free stroll.
Then we enjoy the forest as the horse sways.
I've never been here before.
"Oh... but you live in the forest, don't you?
"Yeah, but I usually only travel around that house. But I should have gone for a walk sooner."
The woods I know are small. [M]
From where I was when I came to this world to my present home. [M] From the current house to the huge bird nest. And from home to Faye's. Only these three compartments make me aware of this forest. [M]
So I was able to see the forest with an unexpected fresh feeling.
"This way, there are quite a few flowers in bloom...."
"I see. It's beautiful."
When I see flowers blooming that I've never seen before, I still think this forest is huge.
"Ah, hey."
"Huh?... oh, really. But it's strange. It's a black butterfly."
"The color of your eyes... is darker than that"
"Yeah, maybe it's darker than my eyes. Kalasageha... no. I wonder what this is."
And then I found the butterfly. I thought it was a karasa geha, but it's definitely different. It's like a black lace butterfly, so maybe this is a bit of a different world.
Ah, speaking of which, I've never found a butterfly alive in this forest. I found the carcass and painted it.
"The color of Laocles... ah, that flower is similar to the color of your eyes. It's chick."
"... my eyes are chick?
"Yeah. Claire's eyes... yeah. Upstairs."
It was Laocles with a slightly dissatisfied face in "Chick Color", but when I pointed up, I looked up. Look up so Claire can follow you... and find cool leaves of trees that sway in the wind as they pass through the sun's light.
"Cuisine."
"... I see."
Claire looks up and smiles.
"You think my eyes are beautiful."
"Yes, of course. You're all beautiful, but I think your eyes are even better."
Vibrant cucumbers are accent colors inside of Mr. Crowe and look cool inside. My hair and eyes are Japanese, so I don't have any accents... but maybe that's why Claire's color looks beautiful.
"Ah, nuts. Stop for a second."
A little later, I found tree nuts growing in the tree. [M]
... I recognize this nut.
It's my first red.
"... what is that?"
"Yes, the red color I used for the first time in this forest was the juice of this tree nut."
Yes. This nut is the one I used to make the cake I painted into a real... mini tomato. I see. Maybe a bird or something dropped this tree nut.
"Let's try some... ah, is this poison?"
"... if you don't know, don't eat."
Just in case, I asked Laocles before eating and he stopped.
"Hey, Mr. Crowe. Is this poison? Maybe it's not poison because it's a fruit that birds eat."
"Eh? No, it's not poison, but...."
Mr Crowe was surprised to be asked, but he answered.
"... but it's not very delicious.
And the words that followed... I was surprised.
"Have you ever eaten?"
After all, Mr. Crowe, somehow, doesn't look like a person who eats the nuts of a forest.
Beautifully cut fruit... No, it looks like you're eating beautifully cut 'fruit' with a silver fork. Yeah, that's the image.
So I was very surprised to hear that they had eaten 'not very good' tree nuts.
"Um... when I was little,"
When I was surprised, Mr. Crowe answered with a bit of surprise and confusion.
... I wonder what happened.
I'm a little worried about Crowe, but I'm worried about the nuts for now.
"Well, then, it's not poison."
"I see. It's not poison. But it's delicious....."
"I'll take it."
Crowe was surprised, but I tried to eat nuts. [M]
... then it's twitchy, sour, almost sweet, and watery. And then it's bitter. That's what it tasted like.
Sure, it's not delicious.
"... as far as that face is concerned, it's not delicious."
"Mmm...."
That's the taste that makes your mouth slightly drowsy. Yeah, it's not delicious.
"It's not delicious, so I guess you didn't have to eat it...."
That's what Claire says, making me a little worried and wondering.
"Yeah, eating something that isn't delicious is probably the heart's food...."
But this is also important to me.
"Heart bait?
"Waste is what we need. To my heart... yes, the teacher taught me."
Eating this tree nut was definitely a waste of time, and there was no need to do it. That's for sure, but I'm sure this will feed my mind.
Whether the leaves of the trees are clear to the sun and beautiful colors, the flowers are chick colors, butterflies are flying, or eating non-delicious tree nuts doesn't taste good.
Maybe it's something we need. There's nothing unnecessary, it's all going to feed my heart.
"Let's take this fruit home."
I'll take some of the trees and put them in my bag. [M]... it's a bag made as a fake weapon, but it's very useful at times like this.
"What? Are you eating?
"Well, I don't want to eat it, I want to paint it."
Seeing me start collecting tree nuts, Mr. Crowe seemed a little impatient, but not for any other purpose.
This fruit is the first paint item in the corner, so I want to make it a paint to commemorate. The color of the tree nut itself, the color of the juice of the tree nut.
"... you had a better, more beautiful red paint."
Yeah, I know what Claire's saying. I have a lot of red paint... for example, flower color, my blood color, and so on. I have a much brighter red than the red that comes out of crushing this fruit, as many as I have in the form of paint.
... but I still want it.
"Well, it's no use. It's useless, but it's also necessary because it's a food for the heart....."
"... that's how your paint grows."
"Yeah."
Subtle color differences are also attractive, but perhaps adding more paint is "wasteful" to me, so I think it's "necessary."
"... it's useless, but you need it?
Crowe seemed to be confused, but behind that confusion, there was confusion and so on.
So I'm going to try to preach the doctrine of the teacher's mind.
"You don't have to waste it, you don't have to waste it... you look up at the sky and think it's beautiful, you look at things you've never eaten, you're worried about the taste, you take a walk without any particular errands... you don't have to waste it, you eat it, our hearts are alive."
Yes, we live in vain. Our hearts were devoured, so the teacher went for a meaningless walk, he went out of his way to grow mini tomatoes and Edamame beans in the garden to buy them, and instead of sleeping, he slept on the sofa... and he let me in even though it wasn't supposed to make any difference.
And I'm also eating nuts that I don't have to eat, trying to make paint that I don't need, and drawing.
"Painting rice doesn't make my stomach swell, but it fills my heart. That's why I'm drawing. It's a waste of time, but I'm drawing. Because that's what feeds my heart."
"... is that so?"
Ms. Crowe also looked like she was confused.
But a little later, he smiled and followed me a little.
"That's a nice idea. That kind of teacher made a nice boy like you."
"... yeah. My teacher taught me a lot of things."
"I envy you. Meet a wonderful teacher."
Yeah, I'm glad I met the teacher and learned all about it. Because I like various ways of thinking.
I'm glad Mr Crowe likes this idea. No, but maybe she doesn't eat so much.
I suppose there is a mind that can live without eating for nothing... yeah. I've seen a lot of people like that. So, um...
... maybe Claire doesn't need to waste it.
When I was shaken by a horse for about 10 minutes while I was worried. We have finally arrived at the recommended spot for the horses.
... that was a beautiful flower field.
"Wow."
I was happy before Mr. Crowe did. Yeah, because they're blooming in various colors. Some are pure white, others are yellow, orange, pink, and purple. There were some light blue flowers in there, and, oh, I don't think if I'd found them, I'd have made a blue paint without the huge birds holding my eggs.
No, the blue of the shell of that egg is different from the blue of this flower, so I was right to hold the egg...
"Thank you for telling me this beautiful place."
I'm happy to be seen in this beautiful flower field, and I'm quickly stroking the horses.... they don't seem to like men that much, but they don't like being caressed. While swinging his tail loosely, it feels a little pleasant when I stroke him.
"Mr. Crowe. I hope you like it here."
"... eh? Yes, it's a beautiful place."
Crowe seemed a little vague, but immediately smiled and said so.
"... you're not feeling well?"
"No, it's not. That's not true, but..."
When Laocles looked at it, she smiled again to hide them, with a confused, troublesome look on her face.
... when I saw it, I followed it and heard it.
"Um, is Crowe's mind a snack?
"Snacks...?
"Well... some people don't have to waste much. I thought you would too."
There are many people who can live without looking up at the sky or at the flowers. For example, I think my parents were like that.
So... if Crowe were like that, maybe Crowe wouldn't need flower fields. Being in this forest is a "waste of time" for her...
"In that case, I don't need the sky or flowers, but I thought I was taking you around like that and making you impossible."
That's what I said.
"That's not true!
Claire said that with a face she had never seen before.
... Mr. Crowe looks like this, too.
A little desperate, troublesome, impatient. That's the face.
I can afford it, it's perfectly in place, because I was just looking at that face... what a surprise.
"Everyone needs it. I think so. Seeing flowers and feeling beautiful is what everyone and I need....."
Claire said that and kind of shut up in such a way as to surprise herself...
"If you think so, why don't you take a look?"
Laocles pushed Claire a little towards the flower fields.
"Suddenly, this environment may be confusing... but if you think you need it, you should eat it for nothing."
Claire looked at Laocles, then at the flower fields in front of her... and then she smiled a little.
Oh, I thought.
For a moment, Mr. Crowe's smile... looked incredibly beautiful.
"What do you think?
"... so clever."
"Fufu, thank you. You... you're clever, too."
Then Mr. Crowe knitted the flower crown. I saw it and decided to paint it.
I had a sketchbook, a pencil, and a watercolor set for my mobile phone, so I roughly drew it.
... perfectly suited to these flower fields with its seeping watercolor hues. It's also perfect for Crowe, who weaves flower crowns.
Claire's expression still feels a little uncomfortable. I think they're aware of what they're seeing. Or maybe it doesn't make sense for someone who doesn't need a lot of waste.
But... the look on my face just now was really good. That's why we're still going to have a few more days to bring Mr. Crowe around.
"... then, I'll give you this."
Mr Crowe was hooking a small flower crown up to the corner of a unicorn. The horses were so happy that they rubbed against Mr. Crowe. Yeah, that's good.
... by the way, I also painted a picture and then knitted the flower crown and gave it to a unicorn, but it looked like "Yes, thank you". Your attitude is blatant.
I spent the day relaxing in the flower fields and went home.
"... what do you think? I wonder if I've become like a forest."
On the way home, Mr Crowe said so with a little joke.
"Yeah, just for a second. It's like a forest... hmm? It looks like a forest... or something, it was such a lovely expression."
So, to be honest... Mr. Crowe looked a little surprised.
... but afterwards, I smiled beautifully again and said, "That's good."
Hmm... I don't know her very well.
But in the meantime... seeing a unicorn with a flower crown hanging on the corner stroking the corner in a mood seems to have become more gentle than the way to go, so I decided, well, maybe this was... a 'necessary waste'.
And then a few days. I took Mr. Crowe everywhere.
Next to the flower fields, it's like a little cave under a big tree. Among them were glowing mosses and mushrooms, all of which were beautiful. It seemed unusual for Mr. Crowe, and he looked a little interesting.
Next to the cave is the curtain of the pigeon. There were lots of soft vines coming down from big trees, and it was like a curtain. I ate a lunch box under the cover of a curtain made of chisels and knitted three chisels into comfort. It doesn't make any sense.
Next is the Fountain.... yeah. Fountain. In front of the house. The Unicorn says, "It's a good place! He guided me confidently, but that's the guy I built... okay. It was just a sunny, slightly hot day, so I felt good when I played in the water.
In the spring, I washed my horses while bathing. Claire helped me wash my horse. [M] Some unicorns were happy with it. Yeah, that's good.
After a few days, Mr. Crowe... changed his expression slightly.
I wonder if I'm getting used to the woods. I don't know if it has become like a forest, but for the time being, I think it has become more natural expression.
"Your expression is changing."
I tried to say that after I was given the details for today. [M] Then Claire looks like she's in a hurry and confused.
"... I wonder if my expression has changed that much."
"Um... yeah. Maybe."
I'll show Claire the sketchbook from the first one.
... I'll roll up the sketchbook that Claire has already buried, and then I'll show you the second one.
What's in there is Mr Crowe's painting. Sure, sure.
But... gradually, as things become new, the atmosphere changes.
I think perhaps the way I look at my smile has changed. When I saw her at the party, she had a perfect smile that was so well prepared... but it just collapsed a little.
I don't know what it's like to collapse like that, but it's not perfect, and I don't think it's human... yeah. Maybe it's like a forest. I think so.
"That's right....."
... but I feel a little upset or a little embarrassed when Mr Crowe said 'his expression has changed'. Meanwhile, Claire is touching her cheeks herself.
Hmm... but it's true, so I can't help it. Mm-hmm.
That night.
I was properly waking up Claire's sketch in the flowerfield on the drawing paper. The instant expression at that time came out several times in the past few days, and I wanted to paint it with that expression because I could imagine it properly.
I'm going to finish the bottom drawing tonight and finish it up tomorrow while looking at what Mr. Crowe is doing.
... that's when the door was knocked. Laocles, I think. Sometimes he comes to me at night and asks how he's doing. [M] If you haven't slept the day before, you can throw it into bed without asking questions. I want you to stop.
Yes, go ahead.
But after I replied, it was... Mr. Crowe who came in.
Sorry to bother you.
That's what Mr Crowe said, smiled a little and then peeked into my hand.
"Oh... are you still drawing?
"Yeah."
As I replied, the actual product came in front of me, so I thought of drawing it with a little look, so I added a little. Yeah, thanks.
Well, then, I guess I was a little disturbed.
"Yeah, we're almost done."
"Can I just wait a minute?
"Go ahead."
When I said so, Mr Crowe sat on the edge of my bed and waited for my work to be finished.
... and when I finished drawing the bottom, I started cleaning up the painting materials satisfactorily... said Claire.
"You know, Mr. Corn."
"Yes"
I adjust my posture to Mr Crowe, who seems to have changed slightly.... what is it?
"Aren't you going to draw it?
Huh?
That's what Claire said... he put his hand on his clothes.
"Client Picture"
... uhh.
"Um... that's, um..."
"It's been two months since I've been here. But it's almost three weeks away."
... yeah.
"I don't study painting, but... why don't you practice it once?
I guess... that's right. Mr. Crowe is right. I have to paint my client's naked woman, and yet I've never done Nude Desan. The texture and shape of a woman's body are just imaginary from the top of her clothes.
I mean, my client was completely out of my mind, and I took Mr. Crowe out into the woods to draw what I wanted to draw.
Then... as a person who works in painting, it's too much... Yeah, I know. Reflecting.
But apart from my request... naked women's paintings make me nervous anyway.
I know that Nude Desan is doing the right thing as a painting, but I feel like I have to do something wrong.
... but...
"Look, why don't you try it all out? If you're embarrassed, you can stop halfway there."
That's what Mr. Crowe said, and without waiting for my reply... he slowly began to undress.
Your underwear falls to the floor.
As I looked at it, I couldn't think of anything... I saw Mr. Crowe walking in and lying in my bed.
"What's wrong? You're not drawing?
... when I saw a perfect smile coming from Mr. Crowe who wasn't wearing anything, my head was blurry like a fever, and I heard how my heart sounded, and my thoughts wobbled...
"... I'll draw!
I got a half burn and took a pencil and a sketchbook.
If we don't do this, we're going to get hurt!
