The plain and unnoticed me is no more

40 · The end of the party

I remembered the day of the party when I was supposed to be attending on behalf of my father on my way to the inn.

After breaking up with Lana, I hurried back to the royal palace to inform him of my brother's foolishness and went to my father, who was clearing a pile of documents in the office.

I just told the attendant who came out of the office why and asked him to come inside, and somehow there was an uncle, and they were discussing the Virgin. I wanted to start talking right away, but my father told me to wait, and I was silently waiting for the two of us to finish.

"Your Majesty, the daughter Sandra is not a saint. The due date for my sixteenth birthday is two days later. And yet you haven't done anything miraculous. Wasn't that a lie from that stinking prophet? In fact, the man disappeared as soon as he received the money. It was a fraud that used prophecy, as I said from the beginning."

My uncle has a negative view of the unfamiliar existence of the Virgin, and doubts that the contents of the book describing the miracle of a long time ago can only be considered a fabricated story by my uncle.

That's what I thought.

Well, I don't know what you're hoping for.

There are many miracles in the book that make us want to penetrate that are really convenient to us and that are beyond the limits of other people's abilities.

The miracle is another powerful healing magic that heals people suffering from illness and injuries, but there are other things that clearly seem to be fabricated.

In several countries on the continent, the imaginary monster Envy, the demon of jealousy and envy, is spoken of, but the Virgin emitted a strong light on those possessed by it, destroyed the monster, rained the dry land, and made wheat grow overnight to save a people suffering from famine. It even says the absurd story.

Even in this country, we suffer from a lack of rain somewhere every year.

If there really is such a thing as a Virgin, I would definitely like it to be a miracle.

"But there are no other girls who think she's a saint."

"There's no such thing from the beginning. Whether Sandra is a saint or not, you just have to make a miracle happen in front of her. Let's heal the blind soldier's eyes, like the Virgin's miracle in that book. She has no magic, but if she can cure her eyes, it will prove to be a saint."

My uncle wants to verify whether Sandra is a real saint.

Good timing, then.

Father, uncle, excuse me in the middle of the conversation.

"What's the rush? Speaking of which, I should have asked you to represent me at today's party. Why are you still here?

Father frowned.

You seem a little surprised that I'm here now.

"I went to the venue. But when I arrived... Father, uncle and Frederick gave up their engagement to the Duchess of Elaine Norris at the party."

"What!?" "What!?

My uncle was more surprised than my father.

My uncle didn't predict anything at all, and with surprise, he began to feel angry. Then he whispered his tongue and whispered, "If that kid doesn't disturb me..." and came to me to tell me more about it.

I told them exactly what Villem told me and added that Frederick should be punished severely.

"Is that true?! What do you mean....."

"That guy....! What the hell are you thinking!! You're going to hurt your daughter so hard and marry Sandra!? The Elaine I chose is different from those ladies. You wouldn't do anything stupid like bullying! Stupid... my eyes are dazzled by the beauty of that girl's appearance... Your Majesty, I certify that Sandra is not a Virgin. I will get a doctor's diagnosis and bring someone who is definitely diagnosed with a loss of light right away, so if they find out it's a fake, I want Sandra executed immediately."

His uncle waited for his father's answer as if he was convinced that Sandra was not a saint.

"Wilfred, are they coming to the royal palace now? Then gather people together while you're at it. Verify on the spot that Sandra is a saint."

My uncle listened to the words and went to action immediately.

I followed my uncle, and when I left the office, my father stopped me.

"Wait, Wilfred."

"Anything?

"Elaine's engagement is gone, but what are you going to do?

"... I can't think of anything right now. She doesn't remember me back then."

My father nodded lightly with a pitiful look on his face and called for a chamberlain.

"As soon as possible, call on the chief ministers while you are watching. Then Fredrick and his closest associates will be here soon. Keep them lined up. Then the Virgin who comes with me should wait in a separate room."

"I was afraid. Now, let me step back for a moment."

When the waiter left the office, his father held his head and exhaled heavily, prompting me to leave.

"You can go. I'll clean up the paperwork I put my hands on and then I'll go."

I'll see you later.

I went while I was waiting for my younger brothers to arrive.
