The Queen’s Cosmetician

Chapter IX: Boring Girls 8

Push the window slowly open.

Hinges that lift the stiffness. I thought I had to oil it. Then a repairman to reinforce the rain door. Then that and this.

Returning to me to the feather, he grinned bitterly. All of the matters past the hard brain were just going to add to his work.

It was all that made sense to him already.

I haven't made a decision yet. But perhaps.

I had a feeling about that.

He looks up. A bird spreads its wings and ascends to the moon. The shadow eventually scratched and melted in the light.

A robust whorehouse created by assembling grey-brown stones cut out of the white sand wilderness. Constant string sounds. Behind the darkness, lights that line up to invite people. Illuminated by its orange lights, the sculptures applied to the walls float in colour.

The laughter of the girls lined up in Zhang Xieshi. Stretching out into the dark night, their white hands. Men sucked in there.

This is the city that wakes up at night.

I could take Heath's hand and remember the day I left this city like it was yesterday, but the city saying goodbye from the carriage seemed like a stranger to me.

Mariage, looking around at the flower district and finally feeling it, is closing her eyes in the opposite seat. They swung at the geishas. She looked tired, more than after a tour of Geeg's workshop.

"Alvey's staying at the Mizweeri house today, isn't he?

The magician sitting next to him smiled at Die's inquiry.

"Yeah. I'm going to. Pretty tired stuff. Die's tired too, isn't he?

"Right......"

Alvina strokes Die's head like she works. The hand lit up and Die closed his eyes.

I wasn't going to sleep.

But he was unconscious at some point.

"Die."

"Alvey......?

The shaken die blurred up at Alvina's nearby face.

"We're here, Die."

"Tocha...?

The words rebelled and the die jumped back at me. I rush out the window to see if I got home while my consciousness was flying. But the view that sets in the dark night was not that of the Mizwieri family.

"... where are we?

"By the back gate of the castle."

"Of the castle? Why are you here like that?

"Alvina, Die, are you awake?

The door opens and Mariage shows her face. She wore a coat and was ready to go out.

"Dear Mariage, Aren't you going back to the mansion?

"I'm going back. I just wanted to stop by before then. You don't have to go to bed without your husband."

I won't wake up at all if I scratch my cheeks.

In response to Mariage's allegations, Die became aware that his cheeks were strangely limp. Considering that the area has heat, it seems to have been turned around considerably.

"Dear Mariage..."

"It's worse to sleep."

Mariage shrugged her shoulders and flushed through Die's accusations, pulling her face through the doorway.

Alvina's throat sounds ridiculous and follows her down the carriage. Die had no choice but to put his sleeve through his coat, followed by both of them.

"Here"

The sight ahead of you off the carriage looks familiar.

"Die, let's go."

Mariage, who raised a reminder to the die, walks up the stairs by the walls with a firm foothold. It was a staircase set up to come and go on steep hills, not to mention unmaintained, just fitted with wooden frames.

I know where this staircase leads.

Die leaned next door after Mariage. Support her as she flutters from time to time and is about to step off the stairs. Behind me, Alvina was walking with a light foothold.

Because of the tiredness of the day, Die also just breathed up. Mariage is sweaty, and a few steps up, she stops her legs and breathes on her shoulders. But she didn't turn up the sound. Looking to the end as possessed by something, keep going up the stairs.

The place we arrived was the plain, filled with blue flowers.

Where Rowen lost his life.

Maryage, who stepped on the flowers, dropped his hips like a thread had been cut in a position where he could look down on the city.

"Ahhhh, I'm tired!

She screams.

"I'm not gonna do this anymore. Go home. You carry it. Go home!

"Don't force me to say it. You've come this far on your own, Master Mariage."

"Well, I'm gonna take a break here for a while."

"It's going to be dawn if we keep this up."

"Hmm. It would be nice to see the sun in the morning."

"What are you going to do tomorrow?!?

"I'll tell Heath to say no because I'm sick."

"Wow, you suck..."

Mariage bends the edge of her mouth uncomfortably to the honest sentiment leaked from Die's mouth.

"I'm sure your mouth doesn't know you're reluctant!

Gu, and his mouth was pounded, and Die burst his hands and feet with groans. Alvina catching up is laughing with her belly beside her.

"Pfft!... Don't even look at Alvey. Please help me!

"Well, I've been watching you, and you're not."

This one sucks at losing. As the die stared, Alvina ran in the direction of the day after tomorrow to escape.

Next to the die sighing off its back, Mariage chops the flowers in hand plumply.

I'm done with this.

Throw the petals into the universe, she said.

"Rowen knew this place a lot too..."

The person who taught this place, filled with blue flowers while breathing in the darkness of the night, is a late friend. I wonder how he found out. Did Arishuel tell you that?

Looking over the flower garden, which is near the end of the blooming season - the die breathed in the view across the hill.

The royal palace of White Asia. The red roof that surrounds it and brings it together. Spread apart walls, Castle Town.

"You're shaping like a flying bird with a rose on your back. I've never known that before."

Mariage, pointing in the same direction as a die, describes this view as pompous.

Its walnut-colored eyes narrow slowly.

Crush. Like you don't want to overlook it.

She was staring at this view.

"... it's time to tell me"

Die looked down at her and said.

"Why all of a sudden, I want to tour the city, so what did I say? Come on, tell me or I'll get mad."

"You get mad when you want to. What are you talking about now?"

The sighing mariage continues with a funny laugh.

"But I saw where you grew up today and I thought, What are those women who don't hesitate? I finally figured out why you're so full of shit."

Metaphorised as looking exactly like the way the geishas said their things, Die pulled his lips together.

"... I don't mean to go that far."

"Oh?

Alvina, who was back at some point, interrupts the conversation.

"I think you look alike, huh?

It seems that Alvina only wants to side with Mariage and make fun of the die. The die, who looked up to her to argue, glanced at the presence of a black bird that would linger on its shoulder for a moment.

"What's wrong with you? The... raven?

"Introducing Well Su"

Alvina stroked the raven's head a little bit with her fingertips.

"This child is my devil."

"The devil?

Mariage frowns in surprise.

"What's that?

"Mmm. I wonder if he's a magician's servant. Will you do all kinds of errands? You can also get in touch with Heath, see, this is the street."

The devil stroked Alvina's throat narrowed his eyes like an obsidian, spinning an otherwise unlikely voice.

"Don't take it personally anymore"

Heath's voice.

Die peeled his eyes at the noise that seeped. Mariage looks equally surprised. Alvina laughed and continued to stroke the bird's throat.

"Yes, it is.... This child is a handyman used to contact you. It delivers each other's voices like this."

"That's amazing"

To Die's admiration, Alvina shows her good face. More praise, and to her distracting breasts, Mariage was a frightened face.

"Well, anyway, you've taken the word that you can do whatever you want."

It would be for Heath. I won't forgive you if you complain, she groans. By now, Die felt sorry for him, who would have had a headache in the mansion.

Mariaj, who untied her hair and dropped it on her back, stretched as she slashed the stretch. She is smiling as she puts a beat and puts her gaze back under the castle. In the free time I haven't enjoyed in a long time, I guess I was satisfied.

Eventually Mariage slowly erased her smile and bit her lower lip off. To that change of expression, Die tilts his neck.

Night breeze, grasshoppers touch each other. Drifting, slightly damp earthy smell.

Pinch the silence, Mariage said.

"Mrs. Rudia will support me."

"... what?

Thoughts, I can't keep up.

Mariage explains to Die, who raised his dumb voice.

"Mrs. Rudia, I mean, a gateway to the Gertrude family said they would recommend me as queen. Mrs. Rudia's visit this morning is to tell me the story."

"Huh!?

Die was stunned. Mariage is pale, but if it's true, it should be more exciting and rugged.

Anyway, it's almost decided that Mariage will take the queen's seat.

"You look incredible."

Look up at the die, Mariage laughs.

"I couldn't believe it either. I thought you were kidding. But Mrs. Rudia said she would support me. But... just so we're clear, I wanted to quit."

"Doesn't Lady Mariage want to be queen?

Die asked unexpectedly to Mariage's unexpected remarks.

She was screaming that she couldn't possibly be queen at first, but these days she does what she plans to do properly to get in. The activity is so vigorous.

"I don't want to be special right now."

"Why not?

"How come? You know that, too. You don't drive a man crazy enough to try to kill his daughter, that queen and all. Even your friend didn't die when he got caught up in it.... in this place"

Za.

The wind blew and rocked the flowers. A petal away from the scratch is incited to dance to the universe.

From the silent die, Mariage strayed her gaze.

"I knew you had a great seat, the queen. It's our culmination. When I was a kid, I met Lady Eirene. A lot of people smiled at me. Hey, here's the thing, just move your fingers, everybody just move."

She lifts her arms and gently shakes her index finger like a conductor.

"I thought it was amazing on my child's mind. I still had a mother back then, and they all hung on that way, and I just have one maid attached to me.... I don't like that lady when she follows me. Yet when Master Eirene says something, they all move with a delightful look on their faces. I thought what an amazing position it was. That's why we're all going to jump for it.... but"

Mariage grabbed her lowered finger gently.

"I don't think I understood the fear of that status. I didn't think I could be, and I didn't originally think strongly that I wanted to be, but now I think clearly. I don't want to be. I don't want to sit on a seat that drives people crazy like that."

"... So are you going to reject Master Rudia's offer?

To Die's inquiry, Mariage shook her neck to the side.

"How about when you quit? We're just going down. In the end, I can't survive. I can't live the way I serve someone. So... if I can be queen, I will be. I'm not going to survive until I get that far."

Though cornered, it was a monologue.

My behavior as a husband is stained with mariage. The same goes for the die. The back suits the sex. It is not easy to overturn that way of life.

"... If I were to be queen, I'd like to see it before I do."

Mariage said, staring straight at the streets seen from the hills.

"... I'm going to rule, what the country looks like"

Until now, the world had been completed by itself.

But if it means being a queen, then it doesn't work either. She needs to be concerned about her face and the strangers from now on.

"... Arishuel used to ask me. What kind of country do you want to make when you become queen?"

"To Master Arishuel?

I didn't know you were talking to Arishuel about such deep content. I used to say it was just face-to-face with her, and she was in the extreme of displeasure.

To his surprise Die, Mariage nods deeply.

"Yes, she said there should be such a ridiculous queen race to make the country a better place. Mrs Rudia said that, too. A presence that leads the country to a better place for the queen.... but I'm not as smart as Arishuel, so he just told me to make the country better. I don't know what's going on, but I can't tell you it's better.

"Is that why you wanted to see it? Now, look at the country."

"I heard it's completely different inside and out of this city again, but you just can't get out into the wilderness. Then at least this, in the city alone."

I wanted to see it, she said.

"... but if you just wanted to see it, wouldn't it have been nice since you really decided to be queen?

"You're an idiot. It's not easier to keep moving while you're light. The Queen's candidacy alone makes Heath so fussy that I'm reluctant to get out of town. When you're queen, you can't go out to the back streets or the flower streets or anything like that, can you?

"I see..."

That's right, Die was convinced. So Mariage did not shake his head vertically when Heath told him he would prepare the opportunity again, and rolled out forcefully into the city.

View the city before becoming queen. The only day I could do that was today.

"Why did you want to see all those backstreets and flower streets?

If you want to visit the city, you can keep it on and around the main street. Not bad for nobles who want to step deep into the back streets. Noble brothers who visit the flower blossoms do not take a stroll. It must be unprecedented, such as the nobility who looked around to the back of the whorehouse like Mariage.

"They say this country is a country of art. But I've only seen artisans, musicians, painters, singers. There are a lot more different kinds of craftsmen in this country, aren't there? Die, like you."

Walnut-colored eyes staring at the city caught one and a die.

"If the majority of them are in the backstreet, we'll have to look at them."

"... What about the flower streets?

"Because that's where you were born. I wanted to know how I could grow up like you."

"... terrible"

To Die's accusations, Mariage laughed low.

"... Heath said that, didn't he? The origins of this country lie in Yu Woman. It was the geishas who created it all. So... I wanted to see"

As much as I can.

What this country looks like.

To burn in its eyes, she walked through the city with her flesh-sprickly feet motioned, blocking her ears from the women's whispers, enduring the stench of skinlessness.

In a tannery, Mariage paled her face but did not turn a blind eye. While the men are exposed to a terrible stench in that place, they handle animal organs and manure to finish the leather.

The nobles only see beautiful finished products. But until she reached there, she did not turn a blind eye from the raw of those who were poured into the work.

The geishas who guided Mariage told me how she was when they looked around the whorehouse. The geishas, who honestly confessed that they also had a prank for the nobility, apparently guided the mariage from the place of life where they polish their skin and moves to welcome the men, to the back, to the depths where they meet their guests in peace with one wall apart.

Still, Mariage followed the geisha and saw everything without escaping.

Fu was intrigued, Die asked.

"What kind of country did Master Mariage answer to Master Arishuel that he wanted to create?

I said, "Why don't we get rid of the craftsmanship?"

Mariage responds quickly.

"Craftsmanship?

"Yeah. 'Cause that made you a mess, too, didn't it?

"Yes, but... it's better not to"

"Why not?

Die explained slowly to Mariage, who asked back to bite.

"Hee...... Master Livort said before that the craftsmanship system is what binds us, as well as what protects us. If we get rid of the craftsmanship, the geishas will no longer be craftsmen. Fall for a woman who just sells her body. The same goes for other craftsmen. For example, the craftsman of the skinner I saw today. That job will be tough, but thanks to what's been going on since my parents' generation, there are few failures, injuries and illnesses that come from unhygiene. Knowledge will accumulate and you will be tapped into how to deal with it. The system that's been going on for a long time has a reason. It's not easy to get rid of."

"... Really? That's a hard one."

Mariage sighed with a cheekstick on her raised knee.

"Die, what does boring country mean?

"... boring country?

The die, who argued that he wanted to ask, became reluctant to flicker.

"Dear Mariage, Raccoon sleeping is not good. Were you listening?

After the tour of the workshop, there was the word in a conversation with Miguel.

"I'm not sleeping with a raccoon. Everyone will wake up if they scream that much. I heard the story."

Poor listening, Mariage got angry.

"So. What do you mean?

Gu, and Die puzzles her in pursuit with her face.

"What do you mean...... so it's a boring country. An irreplaceable day just goes on."

Unabusive, unharmed, everyone encourages the drilling of moves.

A peaceful, peaceful country.

"You want a country like that, too?

Die laughed bitterly as if questioning with a child into an interrogation without signs of an end.

"You mean you want a country... right. If it's about what kind of country you want Del Ligueiria to be, I'd like that. As it is now, every day of serenity, I want it to continue."

In one corner of consciousness there was a conversation with Asma.

They say there are ripples leaning against the country. I don't get a sense of it, but she's not the kind of person who makes jokes.

Then we have to pray.

Please, please, keep it up.

Whatever the sincerity, the Asmas have protected and raised the die. He still has mercy on me. Die cared about them. I pray to everyone that the same days as before will continue to be given.

"Nothing, I don't think you have to develop dramatically.... I don't think anyone would complain if she were the queen who would protect my life now."

"Yes."

Mariage stood up and paid lightly for the hem of the garment. Die smiles at her staring at the city with a difficult look.

"Well, we still have time. I don't think you have to rush to think about what kind of country you want to build."

"What are you talking about like human resources? You think too, you think too."

"Huh. Me too?

Mariage, with her hands on her hips, turns a frightened eye to the die she unsuspectingly inquired about.

"Of course not. You can't tell it's the way of the country or the way of the queen."

"... no, don't be prestigious..."

Think with me, something still cute when it comes to. How can she only say things like sell fights?

"Wah, eh, eh, eh?

"Wow, I get it! I'll think about it with you! Please don't move your hands.

Making a slight noise, Mariage said, Die's cheeks pinched and crushed. Face close, she orders Die with a mean grin.

"I don't know what else to do if you look at those flower geishas, but you show some more respect for me or something!

"Uggghhh."

"When you're queen, you'll agree that it's not" OK - "but a proper show of respect and respect!?

"Wow, that's so twitchy!

"Follow me!

"Waharimahita! Yikes!!

"You have no idea!

"A fu hehe!

Alvina, who was sitting back in a relaxed manner and completely set aside to watch, smiled at Die's appeal.

"Yeah, I can't"

"Hi-ho!

Mariage further strengthens the power of the hand. Afraid that one of these days his face would be deformed, Die resisted Mariage's hand in tears.

Alvina, who looked at us together, burst out laughing that we were not close.
