Upon hearing Shu Qiang’s words, Yiyi was not convinced.
Even Shu Yunfang’s own parents hadn’t taken any action, yet Shu Qiang, a mere uncle, was quick to jump in. If he hadn’t received some order, Yiyi wouldn’t believe it.
"Your mouth is really stubborn. Even now you refuse to tell the truth. But don’t worry, this drug’s effect is just starting, the real show is yet to come." Yiyi said coldly, and then watched Shu Qiang writhing on the ground with a cold gaze.
Shu Qiang finally understood Yiyi’s words when the piercing pain hit him. Even as a grown man, he couldn’t help but scream, feeling like his entire being was about to collapse.
However, despite the agony, he kept repeating the same words.
Yiyi heard this and couldn’t help but frown.
Even Mo Ping couldn’t help but say, "Could it be that he’s telling the truth? Seeing him so miserable, I doubt he could still be lying now."
Guo Ming looked at Yiyi and asked, "Yiyi, what do you think about this?"

Yiyi stood still, continuing to watch Shu Qiang suffer. She wasn’t sympathetic though; Shu Qiang was only experiencing physical pain from the drug now, whereas her mother had almost lost her life back then.
But even after the drug wore off, Shu Qiang didn’t change his story, insisting he acted to stand up for Shu Yunfang.
"Yiyi, since this person won’t tell the truth, let’s let Pei Jin interrogate him properly. Although the drug is powerful, sometimes questioning is very necessary."
Yiyi nodded directly upon hearing this.
"Then I’ll trouble Pei Jin."

However, the interrogation results remained the same as before. Shu Qiang didn’t change his story, still claiming he wanted to stand up for Shu Yunfang.
Even Pei Jin hesitated and said, "Young Master, I think this person is probably not lying."

Yiyi could only nod upon hearing this.

Upon hearing this, Yiyi said, "I’ll trouble Master with this matter then."
"You and I are master and disciple, no need for polite words. From now on, the Yin sect’s people are yours too. If anything happens, just give your orders to Pei Jin."
Pei Jin nodded respectfully on the side and said, "Master is right. Young Master, if you have any instructions in the future, just let me know."
He now fully recognized Yiyi and naturally saw her as the future successor of the Yin sect.
Yiyi smiled and nodded, saying, "Alright."
When she arrived at the hospital, Ding Yuejun had just finished her IV. Seeing her daughter come, she was very happy, "Yiyi, why are you here."

Guo Ming also took this into account, leaving Pei Wu and others to continue protecting Ding Yuejun.
Ding Yuejun, upon knowing this, didn’t say anything. Although she felt her daughter and Guo Ming didn’t need to worry about her anymore, she feared encountering danger again, especially after two incidents, so she silently endorsed leaving Pei Wu and the others with her.
