Chapter 741 - 690: Have You Made Enough Trouble Yet? (2)_2
Rationally, he could understand that the higher-ups’ actions were not without reason. Yet, understanding was one thing; at this moment, he couldn’t help but feel a chill in his heart.
At this moment, he suddenly felt the urge to retire to the mountains and live in seclusion.
「England.」
Still caught in a whirlwind of slaughter, Qin Fan had no idea he had been sold out. Even if he had known, he would have merely laughed it off without a second thought.
Sold out? Could they even sell him? Did he need to care?
It just meant that after this, any semblance of loyalty between them was gone. Even if they hadn’t dropped all pretenses, a cycle of "if you’re cruel, then I’ll be unjust" was now inevitable.
In the seven hours after obliterating the twelve Blood Kings, Qin Fan traveled through several more cities in England. At his relentless pace of slaughter, hardly any Vampire remnants were left on the island of Great Britain.
"Where is your Vampire headquarters?" In a desolate wilderness blanketed in white snow, Qin Fan, looking dashingly casual in a thin trench coat, pinned a man to the ground with his foot. The man’s tusks were bared as he trembled uncontrollably.
"Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!"
All around them, the vast white snow was dotted with discarded piles of clothing and vibrant specks of blood. The terrified Vampire wailed loudly.
His squad of twenty-three Vampires had been completely slaughtered by that monster, all except for him. And that wasn’t the worst part. The true horror was that his twenty-two comrades had each been obliterated into a bloody mist by a single punch, leaving behind nothing but empty clothes and specks of blood scattered across the snow.
Faced with such a monstrous scene, how could anyone remain calm? This Vampire was strong enough to have not yet wet himself.
"Answer my question! Where is the headquarters!" Qin Fan roared again, suppressing the impatient urge to simply stomp the man into oblivion. If this miserable creature hadn’t been the last Vampire within range of his Divine Sense, Qin Fan certainly wouldn’t have wasted so many words.
"Sweden! Sweden! It’s in Sweden, I only know it’s in Sweden! I don’t know anything else! Sir, I have no grudge against you. It was Earl Geman who ordered the attack on you, it has nothing to do with me! Spare me! Don’t kill me, please don’t kill me!" the Vampire remnant shrieked, trembling and crying under the pressure of Qin Fan’s roar.
"Good. You can die now."
Although he had only gotten one word—Sweden—it was enough for Qin Fan.
As soon as he finished speaking, he gave the Vampire no further chance to wail or beg for mercy. The foot on the man’s back lifted slightly. Then, unleashing his True Yuan, he stomped down with ruthless force!
BOOM!
It was like a highly concentrated bomb exploding. The instant Qin Fan’s foot landed, a thunderous sound erupted, and a cloud of blood mist burst from beneath his boot.
Before he could even let out a final, agonizing scream, the Vampire was obliterated, wiped from existence without a trace.
Sweden, is it? Just you wait.
He straightened the collar of his trench coat. Already numb to the killing, Qin Fan paid no mind to the empty robes scattered on the ground. He looked up at the sky, which was beginning to turn red through the falling snow, and murmured softly to himself. Then, with his hands in his pockets, he began to walk leisurely through the snow-covered land as the curtain finally began to fall on his journey through England.
「Sweden.」
「Inside the ancient castle, a place considered taboo by the Swedish government.」
"Ah, Lord Leaman, faster, faster, faster!"
"Aler feels so good... Lord Leaman, you’re amazing, so amazing!"
"Lord Leaman, Aler is going to die! I’m going to die!"
"Lord Leaman, don’t stop! Torture Aler! Aler wants Lord Leaman to torture her without mercy!"
On a sofa in the castle’s great hall, Aler cried out without inhibition. A number of red-robed men and women stood guard nearby, but Leaman ignored them completely, continuing his fierce assault. The scene was one of utter debauchery.
"Lord Leaman! Lord Leaman!"
Just as the ’battle’ was reaching its peak, a voice, so panicked it was slurred, boomed from outside.
The middle-aged man in a tailcoat, the same one Leaman had flung from the castle hours earlier, came stumbling back inside. However, his shouting stopped the instant he saw the scene unfolding on the great hall’s sofa.
The man frantically dropped to one knee, bowing his head so low he dared not even steal a glance at the sofa.
"Fuck!"
His mood clearly ruined by the frantic interruption, Leaman shuddered and let out a gloomy sigh. He looked at Aler. "Clean up."
"Yes, Lord Leaman," Aler, who had been on the verge of satisfaction, sighed inwardly. She quickly rose and knelt before him to clean him up.
Half a minute later, Leaman finally buttoned his clothes. He turned to the man in the tailcoat, his voice ice-cold. "Speak."
"Lord Leaman, the twelve Blood Kings... they may have been completely wiped out!" the middle-aged man stammered, his body trembling as he kept his head bowed.
Hearing the words "completely wiped out," Leaman shot to his feet as if by reflex, his face twitching uncontrollably. "What did you say?"
"Lord Leaman! The auras of all twelve Blood Kings have vanished! It happened right after they located Qin Fan and moved to pursue him! And... and a few hours after that, Qin Fan launched another purge of our kind in England!" As he spoke, the middle-aged man’s trembling grew more and more violent until his whole body was shaking visibly.
The twelve Blood Kings were a trump card for the Vampire faction. Their title alone—the Vanguard Army—was enough to signify their standing.
But now, they might have been completely wiped out? It was a conclusion so staggering that it wasn’t just the middle-aged man who couldn’t accept it; even Leaman’s breathing grew ragged in that instant.
"Impossible! How could the twelve Blood Kings possibly be annihilated?!" Leaman shouted, shaking his head in disbelief as his mind plunged into chaos.
Never mind that the twelve Blood Kings were a trump card for the Vampires; more importantly, they were *his* right and left arms, the very foundation upon which his esteemed position was built! His father, Earl Geman, had entrusted the twelve Blood Kings to him as a sign of favor. And now he had led them to their utter ruin? How could he command the respect of his peers now? How could he intimidate those who held prejudice against him?
"Fuck! What nonsense are you spouting?! And another thing! Didn’t I tell you to go with the twelve Blood Kings? Why are you unharmed? Why?! Give me an answer!" In a panic, Leaman lunged forward. As the roar left his lips, he viciously kicked the middle-aged man, sending him crashing into a stone pillar. With a loud rumble, plaster dust rained down.
"Lord Leaman, the twelve Blood Kings ordered this old servant not to follow them! Forgive me, Lord Leaman, please forgive me!" the man pleaded, ignoring his pain as he scrambled back to a kneeling position.
"Fuck! How could this happen? How!"
The hand Leaman had raised to grab the man froze mid-air. He shook his head frantically. Panic was the only thing he could feel.
If the twelve Blood Kings were truly gone, he would have no way to explain it to his father, Earl Geman. Moreover, this would likely trigger a complete power shift within the Vampire faction! His lofty position, second to one man and above tens of thousands, could be completely overturned! That was an outcome he could never accept.
"Lord Leaman, there is one more thing. A report, of unknown origin, has begun to spread throughout the global underworld. It claims that when Qin Fan is attacked, a bizarre halo of light appears around him. Anyone who touches it is drawn in and has their own power turned against them! If this is true, then for the twelve Blood Kings... it is almost certain they met a terrible fate!" The middle-aged man had been deeply reluctant to speak, knowing he might anger his lord further, but he had no choice.
"I don’t give a damn about that Huaxia bastard right now! I want the twelve Blood Kings! The twelve Blood Kings!"
Finally losing control, Leaman shot out a hand, grabbing the middle-aged man by the throat and lifting him into the air with a roar. People are inherently selfish, and Leaman was no exception. All he could think about were the consequences he would face for losing the twelve Blood Kings; he no longer had any time to spare for some man from Huaxia. He didn’t care that Qin Fan had already slaughtered thousands of Vampires, nor that he had originally planned to use the Blood Kings to earn great merit by sanctioning Qin Fan himself.
"Have you made enough of a scene?"
Just as Leaman’s panic and fear reached their peak, a deep, incredibly authoritative voice suddenly echoed through the great hall.
