Chapter 796 - 744: Outrageous Madness! (2)
Qin Fan was cruel. He knew Boss Zhou’s wife and daughter had been raped and then murdered, yet he still made the man witness the horrific aftermath.
While a flicker of basic human decency had compelled him to ask if the man was certain, Qin Fan had countless other ways to prevent him from seeing the scene.
But he didn’t.
Once that small mercy was cast aside, he chose to let Boss Zhou endure the dual torment of mind and soul.
After all, the debt for those seventeen stab wounds still stood.
The fact that Qin Fan could muster enough compassion to even ask if the man was sure was a miracle in itself.
A heart-wrenching scream erupted from inside.
"Damn it, what the hell is happening?!"
"Boss Zhou!"
Chang Yuanyi and Old Jin cried out simultaneously. Out of inherent curiosity, they instinctively moved to go inside.
But just as they took a step forward, Qin Fan’s voice sounded from behind them.
"Stop right there."
SWISH!
Without a second thought, as if by reflex, both men froze and turned around.
Old Jin knew he had no right to ask questions, so he could only stand by with a tense and anxious expression, waiting for the exchange between Qin Fan and Chang Yuanyi.
"Master Qin, what—what’s going on? That bastard... what is he doing? Is he planning to take that bastard Hou down with him?" Chang Yuanyi stammered, stunned.
"He’s the only one alive in there, along with two corpses. Barring any surprises, it’s his wife and daughter. They were raped and then murdered. Most likely by that so-called Master Hou. This is getting interesting."
A grim smile played on Qin Fan’s lips as he spoke, his tone laced with a cold, sinister amusement.
Raped and then murdered!
When Qin Fan uttered these words, both Chang Yuanyi and Old Jin were utterly stupefied.
This... How could someone be so depraved? Besides, wasn’t this Hou guy on the same side as Zhou? To do something so inhuman in Zhou’s own villa? Raping them was one thing, but to kill them too?
Before Chang Yuanyi could respond, Qin Fan chuckled again. "Of course, perhaps the perpetrator was seeking the thrill of asphyxiation. He might have gotten careless and accidentally killed her. If so, do you really think he would have tidied up before leaving? Are you going in there hoping to see some naked corpses?"
"Damn, that’s fucking depraved!" Chang Yuanyi blurted out, stunned.
"Depraved? Have you forgotten about Qiuze’s seventeen stab wounds? What goes around comes around. This was his fate," Qin Fan said, his voice devoid of any emotion as he shook his head.
He turned, opened the car door, and sat back inside.
As for Chang Yuanyi and Old Jin, they stood dumbstruck, staring at the villa. Its front door was wide open, but an eerie silence had fallen over the property.
A short while later, Boss Zhou emerged. He moved like a walking corpse, his eyes hollow and devoid of all light.
"Old Jin, please... bury my wife and daughter for me. Will you?" he asked, his voice raspy and unsettling as he faced Old Jin.
"Of course. I promise you," Old Jin replied, the muscles on his face twitching. He couldn’t refuse.
"Thanks."
After speaking, Boss Zhou shuffled toward Chang Yuanyi’s car. His empty gaze fixed on the rear passenger window as he began to knock numbly.
"Master Qin!"
The moment the window began to lower, THUD. He fell to his knees.
"Speak," Qin Fan said indifferently.
The only reason I’m letting him speak is so Li Qiuze can deal with this bastard personally. Otherwise, would he even have a chance to open his mouth right now?
"Master Qin, I want to watch that bastard Master Hou die. Can you grant me this? I’ll pay any price! Please, I beg you!"
As he pleaded, Boss Zhou began to slam his forehead against the car door again and again. In an instant, his head was covered in blood. With his mind shattered, pain was meaningless to him now.
"Take him away. Let Qiuze handle it."
Without responding directly to Boss Zhou, Qin Fan’s voice reached Chang Yuanyi’s ears. He then rolled the window back up. Before Chang Yuanyi could reply, Qin Fan pushed open his door and walked around to the driver’s side.
"Old Chang," he called out, "you go with them. Take Boss Zhou with you."
With that, Qin Fan lashed out with a sweeping kick. A sickening CRACK, and Boss Zhou collapsed unconscious.
Chang Yuanyi had been afraid the crazed Boss Zhou would drag him down with him. Seeing Qin Fan knock the man out, he finally let out a breath of relief. "Yes, Master Qin!"
Without another word, Qin Fan got into the driver’s seat. He put the car in gear, released the brake, and floored the accelerator. The unassuming Phaeton shot away.
Vengeance for seventeen stabs. One Boss Zhou could never be enough. Master Hou, are you ready?
Inside the car, Qin Fan’s lips twisted into a cruel, wicked smirk. His Divine Sense burst forth, blanketing the entirety of Jinling. Focusing on the face he had plucked from Boss Zhou’s memories, he began to rapidly screen the city’s inhabitants.
「Half an hour later.」
Qin Fan slammed on the brakes, a chillingly sinister and mocking expression on his face.
"A chess and card parlor? Are you trying to hide in plain sight?" he muttered with a wicked smirk.
Qin Fan yanked the steering wheel, and the Phaeton instantly sped toward the city center. After a thorough scan, his Divine Sense had locked onto its target. The man known as Master Hou was inside a chess and card parlor—one that was quite familiar to him.
Li Guofu’s parlor! The origin of the Bo Family’s downfall! The very fuse that had nearly ignited a full-blown conflict between me and the Forbidden City!
The result was certainly a surprise, but it made sense when he recalled the almost-forgotten Li Guofu.
As the Phaeton drove steadily toward the parlor, Master Hou was sitting inside a private back room not open to the public. He was holding an apple. After just two bites, he scowled.
"Why does this apple taste so awful?"
He tossed it into the trash can.
"Master, may I ask what business brings you to my humble parlor?" Li Guofu asked respectfully, bowing cautiously as he looked at the disheveled and nonchalant Master Hou.
The moment this man had arrived, he had carried himself with the air of a Transformation Realm Grandmaster. With the casual use of a single Divine Skill, he had sent Li Guofu’s underlings sprawling and wailing on the floor. None of them could get back up. That display of power had thoroughly intimidated Li Guofu, which was why he had personally escorted the man to this hidden room.
"My business? Nothing much. I’m just here to help you get your revenge. So, what do you say? Interested?" Master Hou asked with a light laugh, leaning back on the sofa and crossing his legs.
Revenge?
Li Guofu’s brow furrowed, a deep sense of caution toward his guest washing over him.
"Heh, forgive my foolishness, but I don’t quite understand what Master means," Li Guofu said warily, watching him.
"Alright, stop playing dumb. I’m talking about revenge. Revenge against Qin Fan. Are you interested?"
As he spoke, without waiting for a reply, a strange gleam ignited in Master Hou’s eyes, and he stared directly into Li Guofu’s.
Under that piercing, golden gaze, Li Guofu’s wariness and defenses began to crumble. After a few seconds, his mind grew foggy.
Hypnosis. This was an Illusion Heart Divine Power he had developed himself. It could draw out the deepest hatred buried in a person’s heart and magnify it infinitely. He had used this very technique on Boss Zhou just days earlier.
"Are you interested?"
"Are you interested?"
"Are you interested?"
As Li Guofu’s breathing grew ragged and hatred flooded his senses, Master Hou’s voice echoed, soft and unhurried.
"YES!" His eyes turned bloodshot. He clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his palms, yet he felt no pain. "I want Qin Fan to suffer a fate worse than death! A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH!" he roared hysterically.
