"Stop! Everyone, stop!"

The sound of hasty footsteps clattered in the distance. A commanding police officer shouted urgently, even though they were still about ten meters away. His professionalism wouldn’t allow him to just stand by.

"Everyone, hands on your heads! Squat down!" the senior officer bellowed again.

At the officer’s roar, Wang Chengdong’s entourage glanced at their boss, who gave a subtle nod. They quickly put their hands on their heads and squatted. But the so-called young masters from Beijing, along with the few spoiled brats from Four-nine City, remained completely motionless.

"I said hands on your heads, squat down! Did you not hear me?" the senior officer yelled again as he closed the final ten meters.

At that moment, Ma Yunhai and his six companions all turned to face the imposing tactical unit that was approaching.

SWOOSH.

However, when the lead officer saw the faces of Ma Yunbin and the others, he froze in his tracks. An expression of sheer terror spread uncontrollably across his face.

GULP. GULP.

He involuntarily swallowed hard, his feet rooted to the spot.

Why are these scions here? Damn it, why aren’t these young masters causing trouble back in Four-nine City? What are they doing all the way out here at the Great Wall?

For a moment, the lead officer’s expression changed dramatically. His orders were simply to come to the Great Wall and arrest Chen Shan, but he never imagined these powerful young masters would be here too!

This is trouble! The thought surged through his mind. It was no secret to the relevant authorities that Chen Shan was backed by the heavyweights of Four-nine City. But to arrest Chen Shan right in front of them? Is that even possible?

In an instant, he was at a complete loss, unsure of what to do.

"What are you standing around for? Get over here!" Ma Yunhai snapped, seeing their leader hesitate.

The lead officer flinched at the command. Swallowing nervously, he hastily led his team over.

"Young Masters, what’s... what’s going on here?" the lead officer asked tentatively as he approached Ma Yunhai’s group.

"Take Chen Shan away!" Ma Yunhai ordered. "Also, he was illegally carrying a handgun and was just about to shoot us. Fortunately, those men on the ground took the bullets for us, and we narrowly escaped. The witnesses and physical evidence are all here. Handle this efficiently!"

What the hell? Chen Shan tried to kill them? What kind of bullshit is this? he thought. Everyone who knows Chen Shan knows he’s nothing more than a dog for the Four-nine City heavyweights. Is the dog trying to bite its masters now? And with lethal intent? That’s insane!

"Young Master Ma, are you saying the gunshots were from Chen Shan, and he was targeting you?" the senior officer asked, his voice filled with dread.

"That’s right! Take them away, both father and son. You just need to arrest them; someone else will follow up and handle the rest. Collect the evidence, take the photos—just follow procedure and get them out of here!" Since they had clearly recognized him, Ma Yunhai couldn’t be bothered with more explanations and waved his hand dismissively.

"Alright!"

Although still utterly bewildered and finding it hard to believe, the officer was sharp enough to understand the situation. He nodded in compliance and turned to look at the ground. When he saw the barely-breathing Chen Shan with his hands tied behind his back, the handgun, and the bodies on the ground, he completely believed Ma Yunhai’s words, even without knowing the full story.

"Collect the evidence! Take them away!" the senior officer commanded with a decisive wave of his hand.

"Yes, sir!"

At his command, several special police officers quickly surrounded Chen Shan and his father, their guns aimed from all angles. Two other officers swiftly slung their rifles, took out handcuffs, and efficiently restrained the two men.

"Young Masters, we have the suspects in custody, but what about your statements?" the senior officer asked, looking at Ma Yunhai’s group with some difficulty after his men had the situation under control. The implication was obvious. He needed them to come to the station to give a formal statement; otherwise, they couldn’t proceed.

"You need our statements to convict Chen Shan?" Ma Yunhai chuckled, shaking his head as he understood the officer’s meaning.

"Ah!" The lead officer immediately caught on. "Understood, Young Master Ma! I get it! We’ll be on our way, then!"

With a dismissive wave from Ma Yunhai, the police, who had arrived in a hurry, left just as quickly. As they were led away, black hoods were pulled over the heads of Chen Shan and his father.

"Ma Yunhai! All you sons of bitches from Four-nine City! Fuck your mothers! I won’t let you go, not even as a ghost! Ha, ha, hahaha!"

Chen Shan, having completely accepted his fate, made no move to struggle as he was marched away. Instead, he screamed maniacally from beneath the black hood. He had reached a point where he no longer cared about the consequences.

Execution of my entire clan? To hell with it! From the moment he decided to tear away all pretense and curse Ma Yunhai, he had stopped considering any of that.

"Be quiet!"

A blow from a rifle butt smashed into the back of Chen Shan’s head. The armed officers quickened their pace, terrified of further angering the heavyweights from Four-nine City and causing even more trouble.

As soon as Chen Shan and his son were gone, Wang Chengdong knelt before Ma Yunhai and the others. Trembling uncontrollably, he stammered in terror, "Young Master Ma, gentlemen, please forgive my foolishness! I beg you to calm your anger!"

The glorious Chen Shan had been utterly destroyed by a single phone call. Wang Chengdong knew that if these young masters wanted to deal with him, a mere flick of a finger could cast him into Hell.

"What is the issue between you and Mr. Qin?" Ma Yunhai asked, the corner of his eye twitching, his expression unreadable.

His tone, however, hinted at a slight softening. After all, it was Wang Chengdong who had ordered his men to stop Chen Shan’s rabid attack, and they had used those same men as human shields to survive. It was impossible not to be moved by that.

"I... I... I..."

At that moment, Wang Chengdong felt like crying. He had no idea what to say. It seemed his fate was not in the hands of these young masters, but of that monster who had already departed.

"Crawl your way off the Great Wall!"
