Chapter 775 - 723: You Make Me Very Uncomfortable! (3)_2
"What’s the issue between you and Master Qin?" Ma Yunhai asked, his face expressionless save for a twitch in his eye.
His tone had obviously softened. After all, Wang Chengdong had ordered his entourage to stop Chen Shan’s wild accusations, and they had used those same people as human shields to survive the ordeal. Given all that, it would be a stretch to say their emotions were entirely unmoved.
"I... I... I..." At that moment, Wang Chengdong wanted to cry. He had no idea what to say. It seemed his fate was not being decided by these young masters, but by the monstrous prodigy who had already walked away.
"Crawl away from the Great Wall."
Just then, a light, leisurely voice echoed in everyone’s ears. Qin Fan’s figure casually sauntered back as if strolling through a garden.
He hadn’t returned for Ma Yunhai or his friends, and certainly not for Wang Chengdong’s group, whom he considered more insignificant than ants. Rather, it was because of the two auras that had been following him for some time. The people they belonged to had even casually neutralized the bullet he was controlling with his True Qi.
In Qin Fan’s experience, many were capable of such a feat; any Transformation Realm Martial Artist could do it. But for them to be tailing him so relentlessly was intriguing. He had sensed them from the very beginning but had chosen to ignore them. It was only after Chen Shan fired the gun that he decided to use the opportunity to probe their intentions, and they had certainly delivered a surprise. He had used his Divine Sense to scan their auras. One was ordinary, but the other was a strange presence that even his Divine Sense couldn’t decipher.
This was quite telling. An ordinary aura was understandable, but one that could evade his Divine Sense was more than enough to pique his interest.
"Thank you, Master Qin! Thank you, Young Master Ma! Thank you, all of you young masters!"
Seeing Qin Fan’s return, Wang Chengdong shouted with the relief of a pardoned man, knocking his head heavily against the ground.
Is it humiliating to crawl away from the Great Wall in front of everyone? It is. But compared to the endless Hell Abyss of losing everything, what was this so-called humiliation? Nothing!
Forget Qin Fan merely telling them to crawl away; even if he ordered them to bark like dogs while they crawled, these so-called dignitaries, who were normally so arrogant, wouldn’t dare to resist.
THUD! THUD!
Following Wang Chengdong’s lead, the other so-called young masters of Beijing, the young women, and all their followers dropped to their knees in unison. Trembling, they cried out, "Thank you, Master Qin! Thank you, esteemed young masters!"
Although most of them didn’t grasp what the title "Master Qin" truly signified, they had no time to ponder the immense, heaven-defying background of such an individual.
"Get lost," Ma Yunhai said with a dismissive wave.
"Yes, yes!"
At his command, the group of more than a dozen people turned around, got on all fours, and began to crawl. The sight was both pitiful and tragic, but what could be said? In the end, the old saying held true: every pitiable person has a hateful side.
Ultimately, however, they were the lucky ones. At least compared to the Chen father and son, they would still live in their personal heaven after this humiliation. As for the Chen father and son, what awaited them was the sunless Hell Abyss.
"Master Qin!"
"Master Qin!"
"Master Qin!"
Ignoring Wang Chengdong and his crawling entourage, the seven young masters led by Ma Yunhai turned around the moment the crawling began. They faced the returning Qin Fan and fawned over him respectfully.
"Are you scared?" Qin Fan asked with a playful smile.
"Scared!" the seven young masters replied in unison, not bothering to put on a brave front.
"It’s good that you’re scared. Remember this: even a cornered dog will bite back. So, unless you are absolutely confident in your ability to protect yourself, avoid putting yourself in potentially life-threatening situations," Qin Fan advised with the tone of a teacher.
"Thank you for the lesson, Master Qin! We’ve learned from our mistake, and it won’t happen again, heh heh! Luckily, I learned a few evasive maneuvers during my half-year in the army; otherwise, the outcome would have been unthinkable! Master Qin, was it you who made that bullet curve just now?" Although Ma Yunhai still felt some lingering fear, it somehow vanished completely in Qin Fan’s presence. By the time he asked his last question, his tone had become urgent.
How could they not have heard of Qin Fan’s fame as a young Grandmaster? They could think of no other explanation for the Divine Skill that made a bullet curve in a life-or-death situation besides Grandmaster Qin Fan himself.
"Let’s not talk about that. You all head down first and wait for me," Qin Fan said, shaking his head and changing the subject.
With his abilities, he could have easily spared Ma Yunhai’s group from this ordeal. But on second thought, he decided not to deprive them of this learning experience. To grow wiser, one must first stumble. Out of his fondness for these dandies, Qin Fan had chosen to let events unfold, confident his Divine Sense could control the situation and prevent any real harm from befalling them.
"Alright then, Master Qin, we’ll wait for you down below!"
Though somewhat puzzled by his words, the group didn’t overthink it. They agreed in unison, turned, and walked away briskly.
After watching Ma Yunhai and the others disappear from view, Qin Fan smiled leisurely. He turned his gaze toward Li Tiandao and his attendant, who were leaning against the ramparts, admiring the majestic scenery. A playful smirk spread across his face as he lifted his feet and slowly approached them.
"Hey!"
When Qin Fan was about three to five meters away, Li Tiandao turned around and flashed him a toothy grin. His eyes were perfectly calm, seemingly unaffected by everything that had just happened.
"You’ve been following me for a while. Observed anything interesting?" Qin Fan asked with a faint smile, not surprised by the man’s composure. The fact that he hadn’t left after deflecting the True Qi-controlled bullet, instead choosing to wait calmly, was telling enough. It was a display of utter confidence.
"Mm, Master Qin is incredible. That sums it up," Li Tiandao said with a harmless smile, giving a thumbs-up.
"I don’t know who you are, and I don’t want to. I’ll give you four words: know when to stop," Qin Fan said coolly.
He sent his Divine Sense probing toward the man again but still couldn’t get a read on him, which made his eyebrows twitch involuntarily.
"Master Qin, your reputation precedes you! I simply wanted to witness your greatness for myself. Besides, I wasn’t following you specifically—it’s not like I have nothing better to do, right? I just happened to be visiting the Great Wall today, saw you, and thought I’d watch. And really, with your abilities, it’s not like I could hide even if I tried. Am I wrong?" Li Tiandao spoke with a relaxed smile. His casual, unperturbed demeanor was as if he were addressing an old friend, not the young Grandmaster whose fearsome reputation shook all of Huaxia.
What did such behavior mean? Either he didn’t take Qin Fan seriously, or his words were genuinely sincere.
But sincere? To a monster who had lived for over five hundred years, the notion was laughable. Utter nonsense!
"You’re making me very uncomfortable," Qin Fan said, shaking his head.
"And?" Li Tiandao’s smile paused as he replied, his tone challenging.
"Catch!"
As the word left his lips, the Golden Core True Qi in his body surged. Controlling about forty to fifty percent of his power, Qin Fan thrust his palm forward.
BANG!
With almost supernatural reflexes, Li Tiandao met the strike with his own palm the instant Qin Fan moved. The two palms collided in a flash with a thunderous clap, as if two great mountains had crashed into each other. The impact sent out a howling wave of Qi Force, stirring up an invisible gale.
From this blow, Qin Fan didn’t move an inch.
From this blow, Li Tiandao’s feet shifted ever so slightly.
Both had held back, but neither knew by how much.
