Chapter 751 - 700: It’s Really You! (4)
"Seize the opportunity while he’s weak? Eliminate the threat for good?"
After Xiao Er finished speaking, Li Tiandao fell silent. He had to admit, it was the most appropriate course of action. Once the words were spoken, Xiao Er didn’t press the issue. If his master wanted to kill Qin Fan, the man wouldn’t have been able to escape at all. So what was the harm in letting him get a head start? Though Xiao Er didn’t say anything more, his gaze toward Li Tiandao was filled with urgency. He never doubted his master’s power, but this was the perfect opportunity and would be the easiest of battles. He truly didn’t want his master to let this chance slip by. After all, Tiancan and Dique had died at Qin Fan’s hands. And then there was Chen Tiansheng; even if he was trash, he was still the master’s dog, and he too had fallen to Qin Fan. The situation between them had clearly become a matter of life and death.
An easy opportunity to eliminate a future threat was right in front of them. To let it go? That would absolutely not be a wise choice!
"If this were before our battle, I would have definitely erased him. But now, he’s piqued my interest. Invincibility is so lonely. It’s rare to find someone worthy of being my opponent, so wouldn’t killing him too early just doom me to a life of boredom? Xiao Er, I know what you’re worried about. I also know you can’t get over the deaths of Tiancan and Dique. But for today, let it be. Let him go. The clash between us shouldn’t happen like this; our battlefield should be in Huaxia. Besides, if I, Li Tiandao, were to strike while he’s weak, wouldn’t that just prove I lack confidence? Heh... Xiao Er, you know me. Let’s go. I’ve already designed the game. We’ll just have to see how many rounds he can play with me."
Chuckling dismissively, Li Tiandao turned around. With his hands clasped behind his back, he strolled casually toward the rooftop exit.
For all these years, he had been a man unrivaled, seeking a worthy challenger. He originally thought the Dark Titans might be his match, so he donned a mask and, as the Child of Mystery, carved out a reputation as the Masked Shura. Who knew those so-called Dark Titans were such utter trash? They weren’t even interesting enough to make him want to act. Across the whole world, the only people who could stir him were probably all in Huaxia. Across the whole world, the only person he now considered an opponent was Qin Fan. Killing him too early would just mean returning to those boring, lonely days.
And so, he chose to let Qin Fan go free, an act that was the ultimate expression of wild confidence and the highest realm of pride.
"Master, nurturing a tiger will only lead to future disaster!" Tailing Li Tiandao, Xiao Er couldn’t resist trying to persuade him again.
SWISH!
Upon hearing this, Li Tiandao abruptly halted. Xiao Er also came to a quick stop behind him.
"Xiao Er, you’ve said a little too much," Li Tiandao’s voice grew cold, not even turning his head.
"Master!" Xiao Er shuddered violently, his voice trembling with fear.
"Remember your place."
After uttering that final command, Li Tiandao began walking again. Behind him, sensing Li Tiandao’s rising anger, Xiao Er bit his lip tightly, not daring to utter another word.
「The next morning.」
Qin Fan appeared at the airport in Sweden. Instead of using his Golden Core speed, which could cover thousands of miles in a day, to return to Huaxia as quickly as possible, he took a commercial flight. This was a deliberate choice on Qin Fan’s part. He wanted the Forbidden City to know of his return and was curious to see if they would make a move.
After going through the standard boarding procedures, Qin Fan stepped onto the plane, immediately put on an eye mask, and began to concentrate and calm his spirit. He had consumed far too much True Yuan yesterday. To recover in just one night? That was easier said than done.
However, he hadn’t been in that state of calm concentration for long before his eye mask was suddenly ripped off.
WHOOSH—!
Qin Fan’s expression hardened. Before he could even open his eyes, an irate voice blurted out, "It really is you!"
What the heck? Opening his eyes, Qin Fan frowned at the woman standing before him. "Do I know you?"
His deep voice carried a clear note of displeasure as he raised his eyelids slightly. Having your eye mask ripped off and then being accosted like that... anyone would be annoyed.
Even though the woman before him was beautiful, with a superb figure, to Qin Fan, she was nothing more than a skeleton beneath a pretty facade. If he wanted to indulge in beautiful women, he could have a different top-class beauty climbing into his bed every day of the year. He was long past the stage of being infatuated with women, especially just attractive ones. In his heart now, one Yinuo was enough for him to cherish, protect, and wait for his entire life. He couldn’t muster any interest in anyone else.
"You bastard, are you saying you don’t know me?" The woman remained standing beside Qin Fan, glaring at him with pure outrage.
"Is there some reason I should know you? Look, whether you’ve mistaken me for someone else or are just trying to pick a fight, get lost. Don’t bother me. I’ll say it one last time: I don’t know you."
A cold expression spread across his face. As Qin Fan finished speaking, he reached to put his eye mask back on, but the woman’s hand shot out and stopped him.
"Will you ever stop?" an icy voice shot from Qin Fan’s lips.
Struck by that wave of coldness, the woman shivered involuntarily, her body trembling as if she had been plunged into a cavern of ice. But in the next second, her fear vanished, replaced by an expression of radiant righteousness.
"You say you don’t recognize me, is that it? Fine. Then let me jog your memory," Su Aiyu said, staring intently into Qin Fan’s eyes. "Jiangzhou Police Department. Su Aiyu."
"Don’t know you. Get lost," Qin Fan snapped without a moment’s hesitation.
"You bastard! I personally handled He Haolin’s case. You injured our colleagues in the interrogation room and then used your connections to get away with it! I swore back then that I’d bring you to justice one day! You’d better pray you never fall into my hands, or you will live to regret it!" Su Aiyu finished with a cold snort.
She kicked Qin Fan’s feet aside to get past him and sat down in the seat beside him.
It’s true that enemies are destined to meet. Not only are we on the same flight, but our seats are right next to each other! This bullshit fate is seriously infuriating!
After hearing Su Aiyu’s introduction, Qin Fan finally recalled the incident from several months ago. The memories came flooding back, replaying the scene in his mind.
As he recalled those moments, Qin Fan couldn’t help but grin with amusement. He completely dismissed Su Aiyu’s threats as a joke. He’d slaughtered lackeys in their own compounds, and even the Forbidden City couldn’t do anything to him. And he was supposed to be made to regret by some little police girl? What a joke!
"Asshole, what are you laughing at?" Seeing the mocking smile on Qin Fan’s face, Su Aiyu ground her teeth in frustration.
"I’m laughing at how cute you are," Qin Fan said with a frivolous chuckle, glancing her over.
"The net of heaven is vast; though its mesh is wide, it lets nothing through. Do you really think you can get away with anything you want forever just because you have some influence?" Su Aiyu, her sense of justice practically overflowing, snorted coldly.
Qin Fan’s eyes scanned Su Aiyu’s body once more. He shook his head with a smirk and said, "I wasn’t talking about that. I just think it’s a bit... inappropriate for a policewoman to be trying to look cute in a Pikachu bra. A leopard-print bikini would suit you better. Much spicier."
