Chapter 819 - 5V5 Game! (III)
"FUCK!"
Even though Ralf Fahrmann tried his best, the shot itself came to the worst spot possible. It slammed into the top bins with great power, and even if the goalkeeper reacted in time, he was still unable to stop the ball.
"OH, YES!" Luca Schuler punched the air when he saw the ball go in. "Nice pass, Mikail!" The striker laughed at the midfielder, somehow forgetting that he had just scolded that poor Norwegian boy earlier.
Mikail Maden also grinned widely as he accepted the high-five, and in the end, Sead Kolasinac joined, giving those two a bear hug like a proper captain would do. It was clear that a goal was enough to dispel all the disagreement in the team, as right now, everyone was so excited about it.
Higo himself also laughed in the back, celebrating the goal on his own. Even though no one would remember, the boy himself was clear that the goal came from his save, and he felt great for getting involved in the process.
When Sead Kolasinac came back to give a high-five to him and Malik Thiaw, the boy's grin was wider than ever right now.
'Yeah, as expected, being in action like this is way better than just training alone on the sideline!'
After this, though, team B went crazy. They didn't really want to wash the opponent's socks for a day, let alone the whole week, so right now, they couldn't stay back anymore. No, they had no choice but to attack, wanting to tie the score first before thinking about overturning the table.
In the end, even Sebastian Rudy left the backline, joining the attack and encircling team A's territory with their possession game. It was a risky decision since there would be no player left behind, and yet, it was a risk that their team was willing to take.
Unfortunately, breaking through Team A's defense wasn't as easy as they thought it would be. Hell, if before their only focus was to get through Higo's defense, this time, they finally realized that a huge wall was formed in front of the goalkeeper, blocking all the shots coming at him.
It was none other than the combination of Malik Thiaw and Sead Kolasinac, as no one expected that the two players with an age difference of almost ten years would have great chemistry in their first-ever game playing together.

They really complemented each other here. Malik Thiaw was a defender with a great sense of adventure and liked to challenge the opponent directly with his great physicality, and Sead Kolasinac was a calm defender who always planted his position firmly on the backline to cover up all the spaces that Malik Thiaw would leave, acting like the last blockade before the opponent could get into Higo's territory.
It also helped that Mikail Maden started to get better. The boy's nervousness slowly ebbed away, and with his confidence rising, his help defense also came in on time, covering all the passing routes while also being on guard for any surprise attack from the back.
The goalkeeper himself didn't know how great they would be in a real game, but at least, just from today's performance, this combination was definitely worth cultivating.
In the end, out of frustration, Suat Serdar tried to send a long shot from the middle of this small pitch, wanting to try his luck.
BAM!
The shot itself was blocked by Mikail Maden, and yet, the ball bounced slightly far into team B's own territory. There, Ralf Fahrmann tried to get the ball first, but the sight of Luca Schuler rushing at him was enough to make him hesitate halfway.
Well, this proved to be a great mistake, as Luca Schuler saw that movement clearly. With a cold, calculating look, the boy didn't whack the ball as hard as possible. No, he just chipped the ball high in the sky, and Ralf Farhmann could only see the ball making a parabolic route before falling gently onto the back of the net, as if mocking the man for this goal.
Thud!
"OH! Another goal!"
"Luca, you bastard! You fucking did it!"
All the players from team A, including Higo, rushed to hug the boy enthusiastically. Right now, they didn't think of any trivial matter like not wanting to upset the opponent or delaying the game. After all, in the best-of-three format, whoever got two goals first won, and that was ultimately their team.
"Good job, team A! Team B, you will wash their socks for a week!" Frohling announced, much to the groan of regret and annoyance from those on team B.
They were probably still in disbelief, not knowing how they got defeated by a team with three rookies in it. However, that was the reality here, and they had to accept it no matter how bitter it was.
"Okay, third team! Ronnow! Salif! Amine! Levent! Beni! Get ready!"
"YES, SIR!"
After that, the training continued once again, and this was everything that Higo hoped for. He was in a game environment again, and he also had every chance to show off his ability to all the players here after a two-month break.
This gave him a good reason to exert his muscle, letting his rusty body warm up quickly.
However, his presence was definitely terrible news for all the players who became his opponents. Somehow, even in this 5v5 game where the pitch was small and the pace was so fast, making it easy for a goal to happen, the boy didn't concede even a single goal in the process.
He didn't even look like he was rusty at all. Save after save was still made, and sometimes, a spectacular one could even be seen when the ball was in a tricky direction, eliciting gasps of awe and admiration from the others.
It also helped that the players he had as teammates right now were awesome. They maintained a high level of discipline, playing in a tight system that didn't let the opponent get an easy chance.
In the end, two hours passed, and somehow, they also played for almost all the time here, never getting beaten by anyone else. As the coach finally blew the whistle, a big smile also spread across the goalkeeper's face, as he felt like he wanted to laugh right now.
'Damn! It is good to be back like this!'
