The Skill Collector

Role Exchange

"I know warriors are harder to decide!

"No, the wizard in the rear is more dangerous, really. Ugh! It's hard, man!

A sturdy looking man in metal armor in a tavern and a woman wearing a sandy colored robe are arguing.

You don't have to activate your 'listening ear' skills, it's a volume I can hear at my leisure in the next seat.

Two men and women are arguing, and the other two, who seem to be buddies, are watching. I guess this sight is a everyday tea thing to observe from some enlightened look.

"A warrior! I'm bravely jumping in front of my enemies, sacrificing myself to protect you! It's not the same as being muddy and protected in the rear!

She has a fine physique but a young face, and what she's saying is childish. My real age would be about my late teens.

"What are you saying about being sweet in such sturdy armor? Magic can be an obstacle to chanting. You can't wear categorized protective gear, and because the spirits hate metal, the protective gear is made of thin fabric! It's good and fractured to just get hit by a demon, because if it's a bad beating, you're gonna die light!

Returning words unbeaten by a warrior is a wizard-like woman with three long hair braids and glasses. She looks about the same age as a warrior, too.

Earlier, I talked about the spiciness of my job and made fun of them. I'm just repeating that all the time. Soon I was the only one who was sick and tired of all the noise with guests taking their seats and sitting in their surroundings.

I know we should leave this place, like other guests, where we can't eat calmly, but there's a reason we're sitting here.

The other two at the Adventurer Quadruple party are familiar.

Those two are the old sage (former) who used to buy and sell skills and their granddaughters.

I've been concerned about something since then, and when I find myself, I decide to erase my existence with my skills, and then watch it this way.

The old sage (ex) and his granddaughter don't seem to notice me, ignoring the two thriving ones and continuing to eat.... Neither of us can move.

"So, what do you think of Luio! Warriors are harder!

"Peeli would understand the wizard's situation!

The two people who were told the story during the meal are laughing bitterly.

By the way, Luio is the name the old sage is now named after, and Peari is referring to his granddaughter.

Two avant-gardes are warrior men, and a well-balanced party with a rear guard: a wizard and a shooter woman.

Rumor has it that he's a newbie, but he's doing his request well without jeopardy.

Not only are the requests received and the demons exorcised, but they are also active in chores, herb collection, and other tasks that very young people do not want to do.

In doing so, the knowledge of Luio, who was an old sage, was treasured.

Seems to blend right into the party, too. Above all.

"Um, I think it's hard on both of them. Hey, Luio."

"Right. Isn't the avant-garde and the rear guard equally struggling? I'm not talking about one being superior."

"I've been thinking about Luio for a long time, but he talks like his grandfather."

"Really?"

"Yeah, but I think that's a good way to talk."

My granddaughter's point is not wrong. I don't feel any youthfulness.

Should I have also sold this' acting '? But that tone seems to be popular with Peeli, so I don't know if I can keep it that way.

"'Cause don't get excited over there. Answer the question."

"Yes, it is. Now we're talking about the avant-garde or the rear guard, which is the hardest part."

Were you arguing just now, and these two breaths are perfect at times like this?

In the first place, it doesn't seem like we're getting along.

"'Cause every time, it's not just the same story, either way anymore."

The way you answer with your cheeks on and your forks twirling, you're not seriously willing to answer no matter where you look from, and you really don't seem to care.

"Uhm. I'm barren just to repeat. Peari, swinging a fork isn't good manners."

"Sorry."

"Not at all."

The exchange between Luio and Pelli is the conversation between my grandfather and my grandson itself.

He's not what he used to be, but his chest warms when he looks at the two of them.

"Nevertheless, it is troublesome for us to go into arbitration every time. If we're both going to emphasize that we're so good at each other's jobs and struggling, why don't we switch jobs with each other?

You don't understand what the old sage is saying, the other three are tipping their little necks.

"Was it a bad way of saying it? Semash, the avant-garde, plays the role of Sarpi, the rear guard. I'll try Sarpi as avant-garde instead. What about that?

"Oh, that sounds interesting! If your weak enemies are your opponents, you'll be fine."

Beat the bread and hands. Peeli seems to be on board. Our own faces are bewildered.

Warrior semash and skinny wizard sarpy to see. When it comes to switching...... it does look interesting.

"If we're going to talk serious. By going through each other's struggles and standing around, we will be able to collaborate without delay in the future."

"That's right. Yeah, I think it's great."

"Yes, no, but wow. This guy can't wear armor. My armor's pretty heavy."

"That's right. I'm weak. Besides, you can't use magic to get Semash to guard you."

Do you worry about them more than you worry about yourself?

I guess you thought you were a little calm and impotent, both of you.

Formerly Luio, the old sage, didn't mean it either, but he must have spoken to make us rethink each other's thoughts...

"With that method, it's really possible to assume the other person's role, but I can't let this annoy you. And you're gonna need a lot of money."

"What, what's that?

"What do you mean, Luio?"

"What's possible?

Ruio seemed to have meant to talk to himself, but you spoke too loud. My people are eating up for the conversation.

I guess the way you said it means asking me to do it.

However, in order to satisfy the rushing adventurer's needs, an amount of money that is not cheap is required.

But that suggestion sounds interesting. I'm personally interested in future developments.

I take my seat, erase my 'cover-up' skills, and walk over to their seat.

"Long time no see, Master Ruio. and was the grandson of the old sage, right?

He smiled at me for sales and talked to me.

Luio and Peeli were surprised to see my face, but laughed back immediately. The other two are meeting for the first time, so they look at us surprised.

"That one. You're the one who met your grandfather at the right time! I know Luio."

"Long time no see, collector."

"Collector?

Other than Luio reacted to the word. Well, here's the deal.

Even so, I can't expect to make money because I'm a runaway adventurer.

"I heard the story, so I thought it was rude, but this is how I let you speak. I was thinking about starting a new business soon. I was wondering if that would help you."

The next day, when I was to be accompanied on their adventure, I was meeting in front of the Adventurer's Guild early in the morning.

The promised time is about five minutes past...... Whoa, are you there?

"Thank you for waiting."

"I'm sorry. You've kept me waiting."

Slightly behind the usual outfit of Peari and Louio's grandfather and grandson combing, Semash and Sarpi continue to be a no-ro.

That foothold is heavy and I guess it's more uncomfortable than not feeling motivated. - To your outfit and ability.

"Are you going on an adventure with these thin clothes? You don't have any defenses, do you?"

Semash, a warrior, picks a thin robe and stares at his face.

I'm swinging the wand in my hand like a spear, but it doesn't seem to stick.

"Hey, don't be abusive with my wand! Damn, are you wiping this armor properly? You smell like sweat. But if you're so sturdy, you can't attack your enemies."

Sarpi, the wizard, is wearing armor, but he doesn't look good. The size is fine because the semash and the height change only slightly, but it feels more worn than wearing armor.

Though he is a skinny body, he doesn't seem to be concerned about the weight of the metal armor, and walks happily in light footsteps.... I'm not supposed to be able to move a single step.

"A collector is really amazing. Sorry I doubted you yesterday."

I bow my head and apologize. Sarpi seems like someone else from when I'm talking to Semash.

They are childhood friendly from the same village, and when they are together, their language gets rough, but they are usually polite.

"Seriously, I can't believe it's possible to exchange skills. I still can't believe it."

Most people who are new to my abilities feel the same way.

Yesterday, I offered to exchange skills.

Once I've bought the two skills, I'll surpire the semash skills. Transferred Sarpi's skills to Semash.

Skills bought from Semash are Spear Technique, Power, Stubborn, and Pain Resistance, and from Surpi are Magic Conversion, Fire Attribute Magic, Water Attribute Magic, and Magic Manipulation.

Sometimes there are people who are mistaken about skills, but there are two types of skills: skills that they possess at birth and skills that they remember acquired.

However, it is inherently difficult to learn skills acquired. Everyone would have heard the story of a swordsman who waved his sword so tiredly every day that he never remembered his' swordsmanship 'skills all his life.

Skills are talents born and held. Advantageous, if any, but not without, it's not like you can't live on that path. That swordsman wasn't talented, but he made up for it with effort.

However, among skills, there are skills that are easily acquired. That's the ability to get out of the logic of the world. Magic.

Why it is so easy to remember only magic-related skills acquired, yet the opinions of scholars and magic associations do not give different answers. Though in general it seems to be supposed to be a favour from God.

Nevertheless, even if it is easy, it is a story compared to other skills, which you do not acquire with a semi-productive effort. The fact that Sarpi can also use two attributes must have been a considerable effort.

When exchanging their skills, it was decided that this was a trial for a new business, so service.

In fact, when it comes to being an organization of big adventurers, there are many internal rubs, and champions have consulted similarly.

If this one goes well, you can start a full-time temporary skills exchange service from now on.

To be honest, I don't really want to spread my buying and selling skills, but it's all the more so now that it's pretty much spread to the intermediate and above adventurers in this city. The cause is the champion......

Well, I can't block people's mouths by asking them not to say anything else. Because of the perception that it was a lie or a rumor that was unclear, I tried to convince them too.

"Your 'power' is pretty convenient, isn't it? I can't believe this heavy armor can be worn lightly"

"Isn't your magic awesome? I've been a little jealous of you for a long time, it'd be nice to be able to fly a fire or something!

It's changed since we hit yesterday, and we praise each other for their abilities.

Pretty tense, sounds like fun.

"Fine, I want to borrow my skills later, too."

"Don't turn your finger around."

Luio is paying attention to his granddaughter, who looks at the two with a still envy.

I'm not going to leave for long if I stay like this, so I'm like, "Why don't you go?" Encouraging it, the adventure finally began.

"Scary! I'm so scared of this!

Sarpi is screaming in front of the dog demon Cobolt, who walks two legs famous as a miscellaneous fish demon.

He is holding a spear with his shield in his hand, but he is a hipster and an avant-garde.

"You idiot! If you're a Kobolt opponent, a spear would be enough!

"I know! I know by the head, but staring at each other at close range, you're scared!

"I know!

Hard to tell if it's cursing or pointing out, my voice is flying out of the semash.

Cobolt's wielding crude stick has hit the metal armor many times, but not enough to pierce the sturdy armor, and the damage hasn't gone through at all.

"Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh!

Though the mental damage seems to be good enough. He's swinging his spear in panic, so he's dangerous and his people can't get close.

I'm watching, but if I have to, let's go in and help.

"Calm down! Calm down! You're telling me to calm down, you lactating milk!

"Who's breastfeeding! Oh, wow!

Whoa, did anger diminish your fear? This is the first time you've done a decent job attacking your opponent.

Once he calmed down, he seemed to be able to identify the situation, and his back was still slightly drawn, but he was handling it.

"Oops! You're not talking about people, either. Use magic."

"Oh, right. So, uh... what's going on?

"Um... Concentrate your spirit and feel the twist of magic in your body."

"Ooh. You're such a mess."

Close your eyes and exhale, "Huh," as if you're more tempered than focused.

"So stick your wand out at the target and activate the magic!

"You said ah! It was created from purgatory, a flame of red lotus! Follow my life and turn the evil into extinguishing charcoal!

A sphere of flame pops out of the tip of the protruding cane, involving two cobolts and burning up.

The magic you unleash for the first time in battle is a big deal.

"What, that embarrassing spell?"

"I thought about it yesterday. That's cool! That. What is this... anemia?

Semash, who was proud to shake his wand up, is holding his forehead on one knee.

Uh, this is...

"You're draining too much magic. We need to adjust some more magic to contain it."

"Oh, you're such a pain in the ass."

Beginners are named after fallen. I have magic skills too, but I was happy to make the same mistake in the beginning. I miss it.

I've been fighting ever since.

"Oh no more, don't run far away! If I had magic, I could take it down."

"Damn, I just scratched it, it hurts so bad! Oh, fuck you!

"Don't hit me with my cane. Yeah! That's how she was made!

It's a noisy fight. My grandfather and grandson Combine continue to hunt at my pace.

Apparently, I'm in charge of these two.

This feels... I miss you. I used to have companions who had adventures with me, and experiences that I taught people this way.

This is how I spend my time buying and selling skills.

And Cobolt attacked me in the midst of his emotions. Fly one step back and then kick it off. A cobolt with his head extinguished is arcing and crashing far away.

"Hey, come down from there. Dastardly...... not cowardly demons!

Sarpi is waving a spear at the flying bird demon and yelling.

"You don't hit it. It's so hard to bump!... ahhh."

A series of flaming spheres with small semashes are falling on their backs.

Have you run out of magic because you are wasting your time in a row?

At the end of the day, Peari's arrows shot through the demons and today's adventure ended.

When I get back to the inn safely, I'll undo both of my skills.

I was invited to a drink in the name of launching and reflection, so I decided to attend.

The place is a diner and drinker on the ground floor of the inn where I'm staying.

"Oh, collector. You have many friends today."

The person who has spoken cheerfully is the damsel who is partitioning this inn.

This person is the lady I used to buy "The Devil's Landing," and then she makes me greet her.

"Ha, right. Can I get the recommended dishes for a person?"

"Yes, sir. Wait a minute, please. I'll bring you some delicious food."

The houses run by your lady are excellent because of their 'culinary' skills.

Moving to the table at the window, which is almost becoming the designated seat, they came a little late.

"Ah, collector, I was there!

Peari, who comes waving, is still full of energy today. The brightness is going to be contagious just by the side.

Everyone gets to their seats, and where the meals are lined up, Semash posts a jock with booze.

"Good day everyone! First, a toast!

Hit the jock gently and open the contents. Usually to the point of relaxing and liquor, but is it polite to drink up a lot just today?

"Khuuuuuuuuuuu. I'm tired today."

"I'm so tired, too."

I guess I'm tired of doing things I'm unfamiliar with changing my skills, they're both stuck at my desk at the same time.

The last of them were ready to stand around like that, but they were blurry that they didn't want to do it again.

"I can't believe you're so nervous about using magic. He said he couldn't do it in the middle of that fight."

"Protected by armor, but it's not sane to beat up a demon at close range."

As the two spill their stupidity and face each other in the opposite seat, they are holding each other's hands with their upper bodies thrown out on their desks.

Looks like we could experience the spiciness of each other's jobs in one day.

"I'm glad it went well! Thanks to the collector, too."

"Again, thanks for your help"

"No. This has been a good experience. I'll let you go into future business."

I also convey my thanks to Luio and Peari for their words of appreciation.

Actually, I forgot about business, and I was just entertaining it.

It was a little whimsical, but exchanging skills could be quite beneficial. Would it not be available in a more different way?

"Oh, yeah! Collector, can I exchange skills?

"It is possible…"

"Then let's replace it with Luio's skills!

"Buuuuuuu!

Luio, who had been drinking in silence, is erupting lavishly.

"Hey, hey, hey!

"Hey, hey, hey, hey... sorry"

Have you been poked, old sage?

I also know it's disruptive because I may find out who I am when I exchange skills.

Teach your buddies to make noise and eat, Luio.

The sooner you drink, the sooner you crumble semash.

Such a curse for childhood, but surpious to embrace.

Peeli persists in exchanging skills.

A noisy and enjoyable evening with your people? I've forgotten for a long time, but sometimes nights like this aren't bad.
