I was supposed to walk in a climate like early summer, surrounded by greenery.

But along the side of the road, the green gradually lost its color, and the cold winter air returned.

And the cold was now going beyond the southern winter zone.

Even so, Wallis's expression remained the same.

Regularly exhale a white breath from his mouth and continue on the path without changing his pace.

Every time I stepped out, I suddenly lost the feel of the frost column that was making a creepy noise under my shoe.

The ground was already covered with hard, cold ice.

Exhaling breath is as white as smoke.

Still, as Wallis continued his steps, a large palace-like structure rose up in front of him.

A kind of strange structure that seems to float in the cold scenery.

Seeing that, Wallis narrowed his eyes.

Is it ice?

That's how I murmured.

The walls and pillars of the structure shone brightly in the light of the frail sun.

As he said, all the buildings were covered in ice.

But as she took another step, Wallis noticed.

This is not covered in ice.

The sharp eyes clearly saw what was to be seen.

This palace is made of ice itself.

It's a palace made of ice alone.

Wallis' path stretched straight towards the entrance to the palace.

Damn it. I didn't mean to do this.

"It's a good thing."

A figure suddenly appeared from the empty space, blocking Wallis' path with an ironic murmur.

It was a young man wearing a silver long-sleeved top.

Slightly dark skin, silver hair, silver eyes.

Wallis was a beautiful young man whose contrast made a noble impression.

When Wallis, a blonde beauty, faced him, they looked like a pair of gemstones that weren't from the world.

Wallis takes another step in front of the young man who suddenly appeared, without worrying.

Alone?

The silver-haired young man said as if he was beating through.

I was told to deal with a few children.

So Wallis finally stopped.

"If you missed the point, go back to the stone."

Wallis shrugged.

That's fine with me.

Hmmm.

The silver-haired young man stares at Wallis with an interesting look on his face.

"You know I'm a stone sorcerer."

"Who else is there?"

Wallis said in amazement.

"Something's wrong with your appearance."

That's right, too.

The young man gave an uncompromising smile.

Well then, you know how terrifying I am.

In the face of the young man, the murderous aura peeks.

Suddenly, a huge amount of magical power swirled into his body.

In response, a tremendous amount of cold air wrapped around the young man's body.

Around it, there was a banging sound. The moisture in the air is rapidly freezing and shattering.

I wonder if you know how terrifying a mage you're trying to deal with by yourself.

The young man looked at Wallis as he shook his shoulders to play with the cool air surrounding him.

Wallis frowned.

The aftermath of the cold air created by the young man, with grains of white ice on his blonde hair, shook his face and pushed his staff forward.

There, an invisible wall was made.

The young man who felt the cold air he had created was pushed back against the wall unexpectedly blinked.

Did you prevent it?

I don't think you're telling me to be scared.

Wallis said.

"This level of cold air."

Huh.

Young people look at Wallis with increasing interest.

I see.

When she said that, she nodded convincingly.

"What's going to happen?"

As Wallis said, the young man laughed loudly.

Apparently, I've only been here by myself.

When Wallis shrugged silently, the young man clapped his hands wide once.

It's a dry sound.

So, the cold air surrounding the young man's body disappeared.

With a smile on his face, the young man spread his arms and slowly took a step back.

It was a dramatic move.

"Let's call ourselves, my name is Silver Filak."

said the youth.

"Rejoice in the good fortune that befell me. I am a sorcerer of the Nine Brother Stones, second only to Gwint of Gold."

When he does so, the young man offers his right hand to Wallis.

"Come on, you can call yourself one too." You're a young challenger. "

Wallis didn't answer. I stuck out my cane silently.

The ice on the ground broke.

The earth spear sticking out of it penetrated the young man's belly deeply.

Haha

With his eyes wide open, Philack looks at Wallis like he sees something incredible.

"What are you talking about?"

Filak moaned.

Such magic all of a sudden.

"There's no name."

Wallis said. It was a cold look.

What?

Blood dripping from his mouth, Philack gulps at Wallis.

"I don't know what to say."

"Yes, my name is not that cheap."

Wallis said out loud.

"If it's someone you can't even see, it's even more so."

When he heard the words, Philak lifted up his bright red mouth.

Did you see through it?

"The shadow is thin."

Wallis said boringly, pointing at the shadow created at Philak's feet.

But it looked like a very ordinary shadow.

It wasn't thin. It was a black shadow.

"If you want to deceive my eyes, you have to be more precise."

Differences in shadow intensity.

None of the students in the third year of elementary school at Nork College of Magic would notice the difference between it and the real shadow. But Wallis' eyes saw the slight difference.

"Interesting."

Filak laughed.

The face suddenly loses its color. It's not just the face. Including the silver clothes, Philak's whole body lost all its color in an instant.

What used to be Philak was turned into an ice doll.

With a sharp sound, the ice doll pierced by the earth spear was shattered.

As Wallis waved his cane, the earth spear crumbled back to the ground.

"Stunning"

From somewhere, I heard Philak's voice.

"There's only one thing to say."

The voice said with pleasure.

"I give you the right to challenge me."

Challenge?

A dark smile appeared on Wallis' face for a moment.

"Enter the Ice Palace."

said Filak's voice.

But if you don't name me, I won't have any trouble calling you, young challenger.

The voice contains a light laugh.

"What do I call you?"

"Wallis."

Wallis answered briefly.

"Call me that."
