Leaving the magic practice, it was already dark.

I can see the summer is over and the days are shorter.

In an attempt to hasten the road to the dorm, Almark noticed a single figure walking down a dim road just like himself.

"Leila."

When Almark spoke, Leila, who had walked, blushed openly.

"Nice to meet you."

Says in a sarcastic tone.

"Either way, you don't have to speak to me."

The place we're headed is together, so that being said, we'll end up walking side by side.

"I was studying with Dr. Illmis."

says Almark.

"I could have used the magic of fog."

Almark, who wanted to tell someone about the joy of being able to use magic, said so without any problem even if that was Layla.

"Yes."

Almark wondered that Leila would surely answer without interest, but unexpectedly she had looked straight back into Almark's eyes.

"Good for you."

He said that unexpectedly and honestly.

"Thanks"

Almark also expresses his sincere gratitude.

Leila turned back forward and said as she walked early enough.

"Something you know as much as you used to practice meditation every day."

The mouthpiece was only slightly broken.

"If you do that, you'll be able to use as much fog magic as you want."

Until sometime later, in a gentle Leila tone, Almark was puzzled, but laughed bitterly when he heard the words immediately followed.

"Because that's how it doesn't bother me for what you're doing in remedial education after hours"

"Right."

Almark nods.

"But not yet, though."

Show Leila your right hand as you say it. My skin is still swollen.

"My hands are getting so spooky."

Leila looked forward, moving only her eyes slightly and looking at his hand.

"You're imagining fogging directly out of your hands."

"Uh, yeah. That's what the teacher said."

"I have an image of putting it out of the space slightly above my palm"

Leila said.

"Once it becomes a form of disconnecting magic from your body, you don't need to stay focused all the time. So the concentration is uninterrupted."

It's just my taste, I'll add.

"Of course what the teacher says is right, but when you get used to it, look for ways to image it that suit you. Don't neglect it because it's magic that you can do, and always research it. That's the shortcut to improvement."

"I see."

Almark nods honestly.

"That would be very helpful. Thanks."

It's not the wind that Leila cared nothing about, even if Almark thanked her.

"It's a distraction to be meditated on in my magic practice class forever."

That's what they say, and Almark laughs bitterly again.

"Leila's practicing martial arts today."

"Huh?"

Layla raised her voice as surprised and looked sideways at Almark's face.

"Why not?"

"Because there's a martial arts center for Leila to walk in. Didn't I?"

"... it's not"

"Practice martial arts tournaments? That's what you do when you do it."

That's what they said, and the redness appeared on Layla's face for the first time.

"I just don't want to be exposed to anything different when I get out."

That's what I say to blurt out.

"You seem to be better at martial arts."

"Yeah."

Almark nods.

"Thanks for sharing the magic trick of fog, I only have one"

In that word, Leila sees Almark again with only a glimpse of her eyes.

"Leila, you'd better be a little more conscious and half-baked when you set up. I lost to Wendy a couple of times in my pre-vacation class because I was right against them at some point while they were moving."

Leila now saw Almark's face clearly.

"You've been practicing with other kids all the time in class."

"From afar, but if you look a little, you'll see."

"I don't know. In all the mess and all the other kids. Normally I don't know."

Leila shakes her head. Long, glossy hair swayed.

"You've only been here a few months and you see too many things."

Leila looked at Almark with such a complex expression of disgust and envy.

"How far are you looking? How far can you see it?"

"How far..."

Almark says.

Layla stared at Almark's face for a while, but finally, that's enough, she said, and turned back to the front.

"... martial arts tournament, same team, right?"

"Yeah. They're three pairs."

"Me, I still think it's a waste of time doing a martial arts tournament at this magic school, and if I can, I don't want to leave."

Leila cut the words and looked at Almark with her burning eyes.

Say it in a strong tone.

"I don't like losing more"

"Yeah."

Almark nods.

"I won't lose, so let the Nelsons win too"

With that said, Leila is sure to look forward.

"Because I never want to see them happy in front of me"

"Okay."

"Promise."

"Yeah."

Almark nods again.

I see blurry dorm lights over there.

"Thank you. I'm motivated by martial arts competitions, too."

Hearing that, Layla laughed out loud.

Almark looks at her by surprise.

"Motivation is not something for others to put out. I'll get it myself."

What I was saying was harsh, but somewhere fun.

Magic practice comes first.

I would never lose to an amateur student of the same age in the first place in martial arts.

That's what I was thinking, Almark, but Leila's burning eyes stared at me and I felt a fire lit inside me.

Win in three groups, as a team.

I honestly thought so.
