... where, here.

In the dark, Almark regained consciousness.

I should have opened my eyes, but I can't see anything.

Complete darkness.

From the feel, on top of something hard like a stone or rock, Almark seems to be down.

I'll try to get my upper body up slowly.

The body moves. There is no pain.

Explore the signs in the dark.

There are no signs of beasts or demons.

I don't feel any magic or strong hostility.

Looks like you could use a voice.

"Ain"

Almark tries to call his friend's name, who should have been dragged into the book with him, to whisper.

Ain't you there?

"Almark."

I heard Ain from somewhat away.

"If you're here, you can turn on the lights now."

That's what Ain said, he used the magic of lights.

It was apparently in a cave somewhere that was lit up by a small flame.

The ceiling is so high that even adults can't reach it, and the feet are peeling rocks.

The two of them seemed to have fallen into a place like the end of a narrow passage in that cave.

Besides the two of us, there's no one else.

Are you hurt?

Ain asks.

"Oh, I don't. You are."

"Neither do I."

"But it feels weird"

Almark stood up.

"It's like being your body and not your body. It's kind of fluffy"

"... soul, or"

Ain squeaks.

"Our true flesh must be falling on the floor of the library. Just like yesterday's Ficke."

"That is."

Almark nods.

"So this is the body of Razor."

"Probably."

"You were right, Ein."

"It's not so much reading"

Ain shakes his head.

"I just thought that if something were to cause you to lose your soul, it might be important to have an image of yourself at that moment."

"But thanks to your reading. It was worth going back to the dorm on purpose."

Almark says, putting his hand inside his robe.

And slowly removed was Almark's partner Longsword.

"Not without this. Not at all."

Almark pulls the long sword out of his sheath and makes sure there are no anomalies.

"Did they still bring it"

That's what Ain says and nods.

'Cause that's what I saw in your room.

Saying, I also insert my hand into the robe and take out the wand.

In case, today, the two of them had brought their own scores sneaking inside the robe.

It became the image of my flesh, and just like the robe I was wearing, it remained in the hands of the two of us even now that I was a soul.

I was surprised when you grabbed that book.

Saying, Ain moves the flame over his hand to the tip of the cane.

"Was it manipulated?"

"Yeah, probably. Sorry."

"Fine. It just so happens to be you, and I might have been manipulated."

To Ain's consolation, Almark shakes his head.

"No. I feel set up"

"Was it set up?

Ain looked at Almark in surprise.

I saw the back of Almark's brain, the snake ring. Rotten odor.

Sorcerer of copper and silver coins.

I feel all the pieces of the answer are already in hand, but they still don't tie well together.

"I'll tell you more later. More than that, we need to find Ficke."

"Oh. Right."

Ain lifts his cane and illuminates the end of the aisle with its lamp.

The passage continues straight to where the light reaches.

Beyond that, darkness.

"Is this in that book?"

When Almark says, Ein twists his neck.

"Well, I don't know if it's clear to me... but if it's in the book, is there something there?"

"If this is the place in the book, I have a clue"

"Ho."

Seeing Almark with Ain's challenging eyes.

"Now it's your turn. What did you notice?"

That tone, which is somewhere interesting, is already Ain as usual.

"Just before we were drawn in, the book would have opened all by itself."

"Oh."

"Can you read what was written over there?"

"No."

Ein denies it immediately.

"I just couldn't afford to read even the letters in that situation.... No way, you could have read it"

Almark nods at Ain's words.

"The part that caught my eye."

Ain smiles bitterly and shakes his head.

"That's just great. You said your body was being manipulated. Is that your courage?"

"It's not that big a deal."

Almark slowly recalls the text in his eyes.

"It was written about demons"

"Demons"

Ain flaunts his face.

"What"

"Huge cow or rhino appearance. Hard methyl and sharp horns. A fang that chews through everything. Evil Power Full of Limbs"

Almark mouths a fragment of a sentence.

Bad words line up.

"It's the Dark Warcraft. As far as I know, it's nothing but the Dark Warcraft, Eldain."

"Eldain"

Ein repeats.

"I've read it in a book. He said he was a family of darkness alongside Delugan and Borapa."

"Yeah. I've only met him once in the North."

At that time, I couldn't defeat him.

"Right. Unless I'm wrong about the sentence you saw."

Ein looks into the darkness at the end of the aisle.

"Maybe he's in this cave."

With new information, Ain's brain starts spinning again.

"Then maybe this is an application of prison technique. I saw the book itself in a magical prison. For example, there must be a condition. If you are captured by the art of prison, you will not be able to leave unless the conditions set are met. There's something like that here, too."

If so, and see Almark.

"Is that what you call it? [M] Maybe if we take that Eldain down, we can get out of here."

"Kill me, huh?"

Almark looked unfloated.

"Eldain is a Dark Warcraft. It's not like a normal demon like Mordo or Jarranon."

"You mean strong"

Almark nods at Ain's words.

"Strong. That's huge. I don't want to fight if I can."

With that said, it goes on pale.

"But if that's all you've got, you've got to take it down somehow. Either way, if you run into Eldain or something, you're gonna have to live or die."

Ain looked a little confused in that sad, bulky mouthful.

"Live or die"

Ein repeats Almark's words in his mouth and then shakes his head.

"I can say those words lightly in these circumstances. And I'm actually ready for that. That's how you grew up."

Ain't got a smile on Ein's face when Almark doesn't answer.

"But now I'm comfortable with it"
