The night before they went to mow the herbs at night, the three Almarks gathered in the dorm talking room to prepare for the next day.

Sit around one table for three.

"You're a knife when you collect plants. Gloves."

Wendy arranges tools handily on the table.

"Gloves."

Almark looks at thick leather gloves to his hand.

"Some grasses give me rashes when I touch them with my bare hands. There's a rash medicine on it."

Wendy smiles and explains that.

"Oh, you're like Mikiri Hanexa or something. I see."

Almark nods.

"Yeah. And this is the lamp"

"Lamp?"

Almark looks strange, looking at the lamp Wendy put out.

"Guys, even though you can use the magic of lights?

"Almark, sophomores aren't available yet."

Morgen tells me and I realize that for the first time.

"Oh well"

"Some kids can already use it, because it still doesn't make a difference that they're not stable. Sophomores shouldn't use flaming magic in the woods."

Wendy will supplement it.

Almark remembered the sight he saw in his first witchcraft practice class when he came to this college.

Guys, how focused you were on creating a steady flame.

Yeah, in the spring phase of the third grade. So the magic level of the sophomore lights would be extrapolating, I guess.

"Like Almark, it's not normal for a child to be able to use the magic of lights for six months or so."

Morgen tells me, and I'm convinced it's something like that.

"In my case, Dr. Illmis tells me exactly what to do. Thanks to you."

"Speaking of which, you've gone a long way in remedial studies, haven't you?

Say it like Wendy remembered.

"Almark, do you still remember your promise to us? Speak up anytime."

"Promise? Uh..."

Speaking of promises I recently made with Wendy, let me know if you're about to be attacked by a dark trap, and if you try hard enough to empty your magic, send me back to the dorm...

"Oh, you must be remembering something weird"

Wendy blushes and stares at Almark.

"Yes, no. Nothing."

"Because it's not. I told you before, if there's anything I can do to help you with Dr. Illmis' tutoring, I'll always tell you."

"Oh, speaking of which, you said it. I remember, too."

Morgen nods.

"I wonder when you magically failed and were transported to the infirmary. You said no because you were only meditating."

"Right. That's what happened."

Almark smiles.

It was when I failed with dragon flames.

It was about six months ago, but I kind of miss it. Sounds like a long time ago.

"Yeah, the remedial work went a long way. Well, I guess I'll ask Dr. Illmis next time."

"It's our practice, too."

Morgen nods, wandering his own bag.

"What I'm taking is this"

What I put on the table was baked sweets that were breaded in bags.

"I knew I'd be hungry when I walked. I need a night meal."

"Yeah. Food's important."

Almark also nods with a serious face.

"I don't think I need it that much."

Wendy laughs bitterly.

"No, I don't know what it is."

As I say, Morgen opens the bag and throws the confectionery into his mouth.

"You can't eat now, Morgen"

Wendy says in a panic.

"Oh, I just ate, didn't I? I wasn't aware at all."

Morgen makes a surprised face of himself.

"My hands and mouth were moving on their own."

"Such an idiot"

Almark says, Wendy and I blow it out.

"Uh, water after that."

Wendy restarts her mind and resumes her explanation.

"We all have our own water, but the junior classmates drink it without much thought, so you'd better be willing to share it with them a little bit."

"I see."

Almark nodded, and as Morgen recalled, yes, he nodded.

"I drank too much water last year, and I had my third grade water split."

Morgen, too.

"You're walking fast, aren't you, upper class? I'm finally following you."

"Yeah. You should watch out for that area this year, too."

Wendy agrees with Morgen.

"Last year, my group saw the leader's boys stick out and go further and further by themselves, and I couldn't see where to pick about half of them"

"That doesn't make sense to go with the senior students."

That's what Almark said, but he also felt like he knew what it was like to be that senior student, who stuck around in the same group as Wendy.

"Be careful"

"And then, this"

Morgen's put out a large leather backpack.

"I'll carry the grass I picked."

Are you sure?

"Yeah."

Morgen nods.

"Instead, Almark took the grass that was high."

"Then I'll take care of it."

Almark nods.

"And well, here I am."

To Morgen's words, Wendy sees Almark.

"What did Almark bring?

"I'm here."

When Almark places his long sword on the table, a subtle air flows between Wendy and Morgen.

"... hmm?

"Uh."

The two said Mogomogo that way, opening their mouths on Wendy's behalf after they looked at each other casually.

"Almark, you know. This internship is never meant to fight anything..."

"Ugh, yeah. I know."

Almark nodded hastily, explaining that Illmis told him to take it specially for the vigilance of the dark trap.

"Oh, that's what I'm talking about"

Smile as Wendy relieved.

"I thought Almark was making some mistake about this internship."

"Me and me."

The two laugh face-to-face.

"Exactly. I'm not that far off either."

Almark laughs bitterly.

"But Dr. Illmis says that the Night Forest is a place to dress up for me."

"Yeah. That's true."

Wendy nods.

"You've never been too careful. I'd rather have a sword than none."

"Yeah."

"Right. Can't you use Mars's wand now?"

Almark nods at Morgen's words.

"Souls tend to be a little sloppy."

"I don't know."

I look at Almark when Morgen says so.

"I don't know where it's off."

"Neither do I."

Almark smiled bitterly.

"But I'm pretty sure it's kind of uncomfortable when you use magic."

"It is."

"Are you drinking proper Dr. Celia's medicinal water?

Wendy pinches her mouth worryingly.

"Yeah. That's getting a lot less uncomfortable, too."

"Good. Drink it until it's healed properly."

After Wendy said that and smiled, she nodded loudly to help Almark.

"It's okay if there's a dark trap. It's got me and Morgen on it."

"Thanks"

Almark smiles.

And, fuh, Almark changed his expression.

"I'm talking to the two of you about that, and I'm going to stop telling you about this to the sophomore I'm going with..."

"I think that would be better"

Wendy agrees immediately.

"There's a good chance there's no dark trap, and something that could be a weird rumor if you give a bad explanation to your junior classmates. I don't like it when Almark is seen with weird eyes"

"I agree."

Morgen nods too.

"Kids who don't know Almark as well as we do don't know what to say. It's hard to deny it."

I have a real feeling about Morgen's words, and Almark feels warm.

"It's just that if there's a trap, those kids are gonna be in danger, too."

Wendy shook her head gently as Almark still revealed the concern.

"The teachers will be watching you this time, won't they? And there's me and Morgen."

"That's right. It's okay."

Morgen laughs calmly.

"And I know. Almark with the sword is invincible."

"You told Dr. Illmis that, too."

Almark laughs bitterly.

"I was embarrassed."

"Because you mean really. In fact, you defeated the Dark Warcraft."

That's what Morgen says and looks cool.

"No, that was because Ain or Ficke cooperated"

Then Wendy and I will work together.

That's what Morgen said, looked at Almark and smiled.

"Then you're invincible, aren't you?

"Right."

Almark nodded, appreciating the gratitude of his fellow man.

"Then you're invincible."
