A long night went by.

Almark spent the night in the same position as he held his knee in his chair, without a proper hiatus.

I was feeling Wendy's calm sleep, like a heartbeat of my own.

After the coldest hour, when a bird started squealing outside the window, the door accidentally opened.

It's still here.

Wallis was the one who came in saying that.

After a glimpse of Wendy asleep in bed, I see Almark's face.

You look terrible.

Wallis said.

"I don't even think just staying up all night makes me look like that. I guess I was thinking of something boring."

Without Almark answering, Wallis walked over to the window and opened the window wide open.

Winter cold air pours indoors.

"You switch with the air in your head, too."

"How did you know I was here?"

Wallis shrugs his shoulder when Almark, with his head out of the blanket, asks.

"Dr. Illmis contacted me. Wendy's sick and she's resting in the infirmary, and she says you're with it."

"Right. Dr. Illmis."

"I'm having Curimet rewrite the script now"

"Huh?"

To Wallis' words, Almark looks up.

"Why?"

"Considering the possibility that you and Wendy won't be able to leave. Even if you don't leave, the story will have to match."

I see.

Almark sees Wendy's sleeping face.

To the play, I thought it was something I could get out of as a matter of course.

But if Wendy doesn't wake up like this, can't that be it?

"If that happens, you'll be bothering everyone."

"That's all I have to think about. I'm not the kind of person who hates to use his head to do that."

Wallis said.

"I'll make sure the play falls either way"

Then I glance at Almark with an unhectic expression.

"Okay. The only thing worth worrying about is that you can worry and come to a conclusion. There's no point in bothering your head about how much trouble you've had and now you still can't come to any conclusions. It's the only thing that keeps bothering me like that forever."

Wallis said Almark's least wanted word.

"It's what cowards do."

Wallis leaves the infirmary, looking at Almark as if he was stuck in words.

"Use a limited brain for what you can conclude"

The last time I said that with my back turned, I waved flirtatiously.

"Almark, Wendy"

Not long after Wallis left.

Morgen jumped in, holding the dewstore food tightly in his hands.

"I heard Wendy got sick. You must have eaten something weird."

"Oh, Morgen. Good morning. No, it's not."

Almark rushes to deny it as he receives the skewers pressed against Morgen.

"That's not what I meant. He's here."

"That guy?"

"Yeah. There's a magician cursed in my right hand."

"Eh."

Morgen turned his eyes round.

Almark briefly explains to Morgen what happened yesterday.

"That's what happened while I was touring the outhouse."

Morgen shakes his head.

"So Wendy's in the same condition as she was in that winter mansion?"

"Hmm."

Almark tilts his neck.

"That's a little different. At that time, Wendy's strong will also seemed to have freed her powers. But I was obviously forced to do that yesterday."

"I see."

Morgen nods with a difficult face.

I peek softly into Wendy's face and look back at Almark.

Wendy's asleep.

"Yeah. Dr. Celia said not to worry."

"Good for you then"

Morgen put food on the table.

"I'll leave you here, and you two can eat when Wendy wakes up."

"Oh, thank you"

"Bye."

Morgen waves and walks towards the door.

"Are you going?"

"I'm sorry. I'm busy getting ready for the play."

Morgen replied sorry to look back.

"The truth is everyone else wanted to show their faces here, too. But Wallis is thinking about making a lot of changes if you guys fall out, and we're going to have to hurry up with that meeting and practice."

"Oh well"

Almark snorts.

"I'm sorry. It's annoying."

"But I'll wait for you."

That's what Morgen said and laughed.

"I'll just get ready, because I know Almark and Wendy will be fine. Come on, you two."

When Almark raised his face, he unexpectedly met Morgen with a serious face.

"I want a lot of people to see Almark fight cool on stage. My friends are so cool, make me proud too."

"Thank you, Morgen"

Almark nodded.

"I'm sure I'll be there."

Morgen smiled and left the infirmary.

Somewhere far away, it sounded like a low ground.

"Did you do it again?"

I can hear some teachers from an open window.

"Where are you this year?"

"Two years in the middle."

"Don't have an explosion somewhere every year. This is why the magic festival."

Footsteps go away in a hurry to say that.

Wendy told me one day.

Almark recalls.

The magic festival is dangerous because magic runs wild, so the royal family doesn't come.

Wendy always told me when I was in trouble.

I thought you could handle everything by asking Wendy.

That's for sure.

But that wasn't all, and Almark looked out the window.

Last night, I was in such a mood for the world, as if it had been just me and Wendy, to head around the thought of no exit.

But when the morning came, Wallis opened the window for me.

And Morgen told me he was waiting for you two.

We're not alone.

We have a lot of company here.

Almark remembered that once again.

The wind coming in through the window was just the right chill for North born Almark.

Almark was asleep at some point as he watched Wendy's face blow in that breeze.

When I opened my eyes, I saw Wendy's face in front of me.

"Good morning, Almark"

That's what Wendy said, smiling.

Apparently, Wendy woke up first while Almark was a little loose.

Wendy had already gotten out of bed and sat beside Almark.

The sun outside the window was rising completely high.

"It's going to be time. I overslept."

Wendy said shyly.

There was a little redness on his face.

Almark just saw it and almost cried why.

"Let's go, Almark. Our play will begin."

Wendy stood up and took Almark's hand.
