As the general public talked to each other about what the play was, they left the auditorium, and the students went out from behind.
Almark and Wendy were still in the auditorium, trying to call the Korens.
"Thank you. You're not gonna make it."
Suddenly a low voice was heard from behind and Almark turned around.
"Dr. Ilmis."
Iris stood behind Almark with a difficult face.
"Your play yesterday was wonderful."
Illmis puts his hand on Almark's shoulder.
"They were great today, too, but that wasn't a play."
That said, Ilumis walked toward the stage unshakeably.
The three sets of faces that came out of behind the scenes while making a fuss stopped looking at Ilumis.
"Beard."
I'm a teacher.
"Shit."
In such a gesture, Luke, a class member, came forward as he thought.
"Sir, I'm sorry."
Keep your head down.
"I'm sorry!
Everyone lowered their heads in unison behind them.
Neither Eston nor Killieb nor the Rugons can move their heads down deeply.
"Rosfilia"
Regardless, Ilmis said.
Is Rosfilia here?
"Yes"
Rosfilia peeks at her face from the back.
"Here it is."
Are you hurt?
Illmis saw Rosfilia with sharp eyes.
"I don't think I was able to follow Lux in time."
Ilux's follow-up from the stage sleeves, which she should not have seen from the guest seat, was as Ilumis told her in front of her.
"You couldn't have done away with the magic of the Korens."
"It's okay."
Rosphilia replied.
"It's a little scratchy. I don't need any medical attention."
I see.
Ilmis nods with a harsh face.
"Everybody, raise your heads. Who else got hurt?"
Kiribe and Ella, who are clearly injured, also look at each other, but do not raise their hands.
"It's no big deal. Fine then."
Illmis said so and finally saw Lux.
"Luke, you guys had an emergency meeting in the classroom yesterday."
"Yes"
Lux nods with a mysterious face.
"About the play."
"Alright, we'll continue with the emergency meeting today."
Ilmis said.
"After the explosion earlier, your teacher, Demitre, got sick and is now resting in the infirmary. She feels dizzy and nauseous. I'm going to remind you all of the magic in the classroom again."
The students groan.
"Sensei, all of us didn't sleep much yesterday. Please soften your hands."
Koren raised his hand and said.
Say something stupid.
Ilumis glanced lightly at Koren and said coldly.
"When the meeting is over, I want everyone to repair this stage. A magician has a duty to be responsible for the consequences of performing magic."
"Ugh."
Koren frowned and said to his neighbor Polois, "Don't say anything more." He ate an elbow iron.
"Now, hurry up. If you don't make it to the festival in time, we won't take complaints."
When Ilumis clapped his hands, the three pairs of faces ran to the exit in a hurry.
"Oh, and then..."
Ilmis shouted at their backs as he remembered.
Rosfilia, Kiribati, Rugon, Ella, and Zetskif.
Grainly, name the injured student.
"Before you go to the classroom, go see Dr. Demitre."
Illmis said so and looked around at the faces of the students whose names were called.
"You know, the infirmary. I want you to speak to Celia properly."
In a rough auditorium after the three groups left, Almark looked back at Wendy.
"Late night festival, too."
"Yeah."
Wendy nods and asks her to snuggle her eyebrows.
"What? Didn't you say?"
"Yeah."
Almark nodded.
I didn't hear you.
I see. This is your first time. The fireworks are rising again at night in the high places. "
Fireworks.
Almark remembers seeing fireworks in the garden with Wendy and the others after the summer exams.
Are we going to see that again?
"Yeah."
Wendy nods.
"But that's not all. The school yard is on fire, and everyone dances around it. And finally, I'm going to announce the results of the exhibition."
I see.
Almark nodded.
When the fireworks rise, there is still a little more until dark.
Actually, I need to go somewhere.
Almark said.
I'll be back by the festival later.
Ah, yeah.
Wendy nods confused.
Where are you going?
"Uh, it's for the wilderness."
Almark scratched his head.
"It's okay, I'll be right back. Let's see the fireworks together."
"Yes, I understand."
Wendy nodded worried.
"And dancing."
"I know. I want to dance with you, too."
Almark waved his hand at Wendy, whose face turned red, and jumped out of the auditorium.
The winter sun is beginning to tilt early.
Almark ran in the school yard.
Captain Coster of the Guardian of the Stars and his crew, Wilvis.
They probably won't be near the elementary school anymore.
The Higher Department's impromptu sale would have just ended, and if so, the way back to the main gate.
When Almark ran to the main gate without rest, he called out the name of a familiar guard.
"Mr. Geed!
Jed, the guard, shows his face in surprise.
"Hi, Almark. What's the matter, hold your breath so much?"
"Has Captain Coster of the Guardian of the Stars already passed through here?"
"Captain Coster"
Jed raised his eyebrows.
How did it go?
"Mr. Costa just passed."
Another guard, much older than Jed, taught me that.
"I had a lot of luggage, so I think I'll catch up with you as soon as I run."
"Thank you."
Almark ran through the main gate with his head down.
A wave of people heading from academy to the city of Nork.
Running past it, a familiar back finally entered the sight.
"Mr. Costa!
Coster looked back at his name for a moment, but he nodded, "Ah," as if Almark remembered his name.
"Wilvis, look, it's him. They say they're from the north."
The words also relieved Wilvis, the sailor, who was staring at Almark in a carefree manner.
"Oh, you were the blacksmith's boy."
"Yes"
Almark nodded.
I saw you on campus.
"I thought you wanted to hear about the north, so you chased me."
That's what Wilbis said and laughed.
"But now it's like this."
Wilvis showed Almark the baggage he had in his hands.
"Captain, you left the day after tomorrow."
Ah.
Costa nods.
"I hope you come to the port tomorrow. I'll remember the story of the North by then."
And the Mercenaries.
That's what Wilbis said and looked into Almark's face.
"When I came here last time, I thought I'd be interested."
Speaking of which, yes.
Costa laughed as he remembered.
"You're a magician."
"I'm sorry."
Almark is lying.
"Every man in the North likes to talk about mercenaries, Captain."
Wilbis said.
"Grow up listening to knights and mercenaries in your bedtime stories."
That's why the war is so strong.
After shrugging his shoulders and saying so, Costa smiled gently at Almark.
"Well, that's how it is. See you tomorrow."
"Yes"
Almark nodded.
Thank you very much.
