The Strongest Level 0 Aikido Practitioner, Now, Here I Come to a Different World!
Lesson 246: Desolate Town
The town of Bistclimb was deserted. That was the stage where Nagare and the others approached the outer wall with some anticipation. For once I entered through the gate as a courtesy, but because the wall did not serve as a wall at all, and the place that was not originally the entrance had a big mouth open here and there.
Moreover, there is no guard to guard the gate, and there is no soldier on the wall.
It was a line through the gate without saying no to anyone in particular because I had no choice, but when I went inside it was all the more remarkable. Are you sure this town was built as a town? The town was so devastated that it seemed.
It seemed terrible. Most of the buildings are in good, semi-destructed conditions. Besides, the smell is terrible. The stench was spreading to the town.
"... in the meantime, I'll take a look around"
"You can also see it looks like a guild over there, why don't you go"
"Uh-huh. Well, that's bitchy fast!
"What do seniors do?
"Well, we can't all help but see the same place, and this situation acts alone... I don't know what's coming out. Let's leave the guild to the two of us and see around here"
"That would be good. So why don't we just take a look around this west side?"
"Oh, then I'll be with Peach,"
For now, the line will once divided look around the west side of town. And all gathered again after some exploration.
"Where was Bitchet watching?
"... the cabin over there, the building over there was (...) safe"
"Is there something wrong?
Although it is a peach that shows a surprising face to Bitchet's rhetoric, Rosa asks Bitchet even more.
"... there was. But it's not a pleasant story for a woman to hear. They were chained and rolled."
I guess I could understand Peach if I asked that much. Rosa is also holding both hands to pray to God.
"... in that sense, we're similar. I took a peek at the building I was about to get into, but there were lots of different parts rolling around."
"So are the guilds we went to see. However, there were signs that this one was resisting something. Broken weapons rolling, walls burning."
"Yeah, it felt like some fierce battle had been fought..."
At the same time, the body of the adventurer still seemed to be rolling, damaged to such an extent that his face was not even known. The guild also seemed to be quite unbroken, and Kyle just couldn't seem to get away with it.
"... Did Nagare see anything?
"Right, at least there doesn't seem to be anyone alive on this west side. Until a little while ago, I think people usually lived there."
"Huh? Nagare knows that?
"Yes, generally in the blood stains that were left or in the condition of a person's area"
"That's right, Doctor! You have amazing wisdom eyes!
Let go and Flem praises Nagare, but if Nagare's thinking is right, it's also about what the hell happened here.
"True, it's like a war happened..."
"... but it's hard to think, there's some information out there if it's a war"
"Right. Besides, it doesn't seem to take long for this town to be in this state."
"Huh? Does that mean that the town has been devastated so far, so recently, and within a short time?
"You will. You should see it hasn't taken a day until the town is driven into a state of destruction."
Give a uniformly surprising look to Nagare's description.
"But who the hell is it that can do such a terrible thing?
Rosa says as she makes her grief dwell in those eyes. Uluru, uhm, and Flem roared.
"Wasn't that it? Didn't a bunch of demons push in and make you fall in no time?
"Demons? But I can't believe we can get this far - unless you think a lot of mutants are gonna push us like a city of hammers?
"Then didn't the mutant species push in massive quantities?
"Haha, I don't think that's gonna happen all the time."
Kyle says as he smiles bitterly. It is true that inherently mutant species do not appear in unison, nor do they happen so often. When that becomes massive, it will be difficult unless you also have special powers like the ink in the matter.
"... in the first place, if a large group of demons pushed over, it would leave quite a trace. But I don't see any sign of a massive demon pushing in."
Whatever happens to one or two of them, it's something that leaves a trail of footprints and other trails in between towns when there's a lot of demons. But I certainly didn't even see those things by the time a line came to town.
"But Frem's idea is that there's a good line."
"Huh!? Is that true, Doctor!
"Yes, we're talking about not pushing from the ground just in large groups, but there are signs that something quite has come, and Bitchet has noticed that, too?
Nagare asks, gazing at Nagare with those silver eyes.
"... that's Nagare. Me and my heart are in tune."
"Nagare's just sharp! It's not just Bitchet."
And the laying of the peach went in, and it was a light bitchet.
"... even if we don't go as far as a large group, there are still signs that something has come of a significant number. I don't think that's possible in humans, of course, just..."
"It doesn't seem like it's just a demon or anything."
Once the word was cloudy bitchette, but when Nagare replied, she snorted.
"But where did they come from when they weren't coming from the ground?
Rosa hits her neck, but of course, Frem speaks out.
"If it's not from the ground, it's from the sky."
"Huh? Demons coming from the sky are certainly troublesome, but these towns should have a way to counteract them accordingly -"
Peach pressed his jaw and contemplated squeaking. It is true that opponents coming from the sky should be the most vigilant, and unless there is so much to be done, they are the ones who are taking action.
"Are you kidding me, the dragon came?
"No, I'm sure it would be easier to understand if it were a dragon"
"... Nagare is right. Besides, dragons don't kill like this."
To Bitchet's words, everyone spoke once. However, it is clear as far as the situation in the town is concerned that her words are convincing enough.
"Either way, you should look around a little bit more"
"Oh, yeah. And maybe there are still survivors."
"Yes, I want you to stay..."
With wishful eyes Rosa spoke and prayed to God.
"Nevertheless, how could those imperial people have sent us to a town where this is happening?
He further looked around the town, saying that Frem was uncomfortable.
"Something the Imperial side didn't grasp?
"Uh-huh, I'm sure Nagare and the town were safe until recently."
"No, Peach, that's fine, but it's not nearly as close as the Empire would have noticed."
"Huh? Really?
Peach says as he pats his eyes. But then more and more, why? Though I think the question will arise.
Anyway, I look around town wondering if I can get a clue as to who attacked the town somehow, but it's still something similar everywhere.
It seems terrible, and at least other than Nagare, he hasn't been able to get a clue.
"There's still more buildings around here -"
Peach said about a painting on the east side. Sure, there's still a shadow around here when the town was safe. That said, although all buildings are almost half-destructed.
"... nagare -"
"Yeah, I know. But let's see how it goes."
Then Fujibiche tells Nagare to whisper. I responded to that and at the same time everyone else became more alert.
And - Humph! The wind incision, I thought Rosa, approached me with an arrow.
Cah! and a short scream, but then Flem jumped out and pulled out his sword and cut off a brilliant arrow.
"Oh, thank you, Frem"
"Oh, that's about right. But..."
Flem crumbled and checked his surroundings, and roughed his voice toward someone who had unleashed an arrow.
"Hey! Who! Don't come out here hiding, motherfucker!
Then, as inspired by Flem's voice, some of them appeared.
"Huh? Um, this is..."
Kyle looks out for him unexpectedly. And as I take over that word,
"... all, beastman"
And Bitchet shrugged...
