The Struggle of Returning to The Other World

8. How about a loving lunch box

The training ground was truly the end of the eye and nose from the entrance to the royal palace.

By the time I was a witch, it was a corner I'd never set foot in.

The training ground is bigger than I thought. It used to be in the original world, like a ground for boys baseball. There were dozens of soldiers there, and it looked like they were training as they split into multiple groups.

That would be pretty tough, with very little to block the sunlight.

I am hiding in the shade of a tree by the ground, waiting for my training to drop.

Ugh, and yet, I'm very unsettled.

I guess this is inside the royal palace. The air is clearly different from the rest of the city. It's a very nostalgic air for me - but at the same time, I can't help it now.

Someone I know doesn't have a street, does he? Even an ex-witch won't find out, will she?

I totally forgot about the festive numb guy's "Don't they tell you I look like a witch?" but now it's refreshing in my head. Not alike. Not alike, sadly, because I'm no longer someone else.

"Whoa, Halka, you're really here!

While I was finally thinking about it on my own, when did the training end? When I noticed, a few regular soldiers of the store were about to walk in here waving their hands.

"Hi, I'm really here!

"Because of this, let's get one of these."

"Thank you!

I took away the cloth that was caged with great joy. It is packed with regular, lined boxes of square lunches and rice balls twirled with leaves like satin. Let me open the lid of my lunchbox to try, and the soldiers say, "Oh!" and raised a bright voice.

"Wow, that's a lot of stuff in there."

"The colors are beautiful, too. Looks delicious."

I guess so, I guess so. This is a thoroughly dedicated lunch lunch that you and your family have made with a thorough focus on nutrition.

"What's wrapped in these leaves over here?

"It's a grip. Delicious with utensils."

"Oh, I see. Just right when I'm hungry."

"This stuff is pretty neat. When you're done eating, why don't you go home?"

"Oh, no. I'm leaving this cage here today, so leave what you've eaten in the cage. When I come back tomorrow, I'll bring home an empty box for today. I have permission from the Royal Palace."

It doesn't make sense to walk and sell empty lunchboxes to customers. I really wish I had a disposable container, but there was just no convenient container in this world like the one used in convenience store lunches.

"Right. Then I have to sell it all out. If you want to leave the cage"

"For once, I brought a bathroom to wrap my lunch for the rest of the sale... but, yeah, I'd like to sell it all back if I can"

While interacting like that, several other soldiers came together.

Oh, quite a few young men. Oh, my God, there's a young man in the soldier.

"Theo, what are you doing?

"Oh, a familiar fixer came all the way here on a business trip. How about one of you guys?

"Oh, that sounds interesting. Then I guess I'll have one."

Thank you Maido!

Well, now I've already sold six lunches and three rice balls.

Thankfully, the stew is in excellent shape.

Even then, when I went back to the training ground and saw how they were spreading their lunches, the other soldiers showed their faces to me, one and the other. So much so that some of them liked the lunch box and would take another trip to buy the rice balls. It is a pleasure.

In the end, after less than thirty minutes of expanding the store, it all sold out.

Wouldn't this look pretty good? Though I thought I might have prepared too many fifteen lunches, on the contrary, I might be able to increase the number more tomorrow. No, it's my first day, so I guess I sold it.

"Does this come every day?

One of the young soldiers asked to return the empty box.

"Yes, I'm going to. I don't know how long it's going to last, but I'm not sure how long it's going to last."

"I'd love for that to go on. I don't really like the Royal Palace dining room, and it's a hassle to get out, and I didn't eat lunch properly. Lunchbox, it was amazing. Tomorrow another team is going to train here, so I'll promote it."

"Thank you!

I see, will some squadrons use the training ground in shifts every day? Then I guess it's okay to continue on the same menu for a few days.

"Oh, Seddle. Shall we just talk about your daughter?"

Light mouths of other soldiers fly from afar. Olds, stop it. He said he was in contact with a precious young man.

I'm home.

Having returned to the restaurant a long time earlier than planned, I was greeted with great admiration by my husband and his wife, who jumped out with the momentum to push the guests away.

"Welcome back, Hal, are you okay?!?

"Yes, look, I came back with my bare hands. It's all sold out!

"Good for you."

The two looked at each other as relieved.

"Haven't you had any trouble at the Royal Palace, either, Harka? Are you sure you're all right?

Apparently, what your husbands cared about was more about me than about selling lunches. Well, you've been boarding a training ground, arguably the last place in your male belt. Would you two be kind enough to show me around? But it's okay, soldiers, because you were so sweet.

"I don't know, shall we celebrate?

Until then, he was called out by his regular grandfather, who kept his mouth shut and watched what was going on, and he finally thought that your husbands were in a store that was still open. He went back to the cooking area again, apologizing to everyone in the store for making a scene.

My grandfather was given a glass of alcohol by his husband.

The lunch delivery operation went very well since then.

And over the course of the day, I also see an interesting trend.

The original fixer regulars seem to take many people to the store unchanged.

And when it came to lunch, unexpectedly, they were young soldiers.

Apparently there are numerous young people in the Royal Palace who work while living alone away from their families. For them like that, a lunch box full of craftsmanship is going to be a great healing reminder of the taste of the home. I see, did lunchboxes also have that effect? But don't feel like you know what it is. I also love the meals your husband and grandfather make.

In addition, pricing is cheaper than in stores, and it's probably easier to buy for younger people.

Some people come out of their way to buy lunches from another workplace, not just soldiers who are coming to the training ground these days. But I'm the only one with a weak haulier, so I'm sad that there's a limit to the amount I can bring. It was always an apology to those who sold out quickly and couldn't buy it.

For some time after I started selling lunches, the two of you did the in-store work while I was gone, but it seemed pretty hard there, too.

Recently, I was to hire a new part-time job.

Oh, my God, I'm glad you hired a part-time job, woman! It's your sister's skin, with a crisp atmosphere!

Even though I wonder why this is such a painful store... as far as I'm concerned, you are most welcome. In the future, when she became familiar with the store, me and her - Senna and I - were to take turns serving as store numbers and lunch boxes.

Thank you, Senna.

And another big change.

Immediately after the Royal Palace, I heard from you that you wanted your lunch box to be expanded.

The new seller is the Institute of Sorcery.
