Chapter 1361 - 1376: Looking for Tang Zhilong
So the little security guard isn’t stupid; there’s no point in pretending and offending people. However, the hospital’s rules must still be enforced. If the person in front isn’t a friend of Tang Zhilong and is allowed up, that would surely mean big trouble for him.
"Who cares about rules? I don’t have much time, so I’m not messing around with you," said Lin Mu briefly before pulling Haihua along with him into the elevator.
"Hey, you can’t go up; I’m coming down," shouted the security guard when he saw Lin Mu and Haihua enter the elevator. He lunged forward, but unfortunately, just as he entered, Lin Mu kicked him out, and the elevator doors closed as it began to ascend.
Lin Mu couldn’t care less about a mere security guard’s words. Wherever he wanted to go, no one could stop him.
The elevator quickly reached the top floor. As Lin Mu stepped out, he felt something different—damn, this decor! How is this a hospital? It looks more luxurious than a five-star hotel!
It’s conceivable that only wealthy families like Tang Zhilong’s could afford to live here; ordinary people wouldn’t have the means. This truly is a VIP ward; it’s three times more luxurious than the presidential ward of the Flying Dragon Hospital!
Staying here for a night would cost tens of thousands, but the wealthy wouldn’t care about such sums. The world of the rich is incomprehensible to ordinary folks.
As Lin Mu exited the elevator, he looked around; the facilities here were comparable to a star-rated hotel. A long corridor lined with wards on both sides, better than even star-rated hotels, and they came equipped with medical facilities—simply unbeatable.
"Let’s take a look over there," Lin Mu pointed ahead, heading towards the inpatient section.
Just as he reached the corridor, two security guards stopped Lin Mu and Haihua.
"You two, halt!" the two security guards shouted sternly, each holding a rubber baton.
Their attitude was brash because they had received a call from the guards downstairs saying someone had breached security. Naturally, they wouldn’t show Lin Mu any courtesy.
"Hehe, is there a problem?" Lin Mu chuckled, looking at the two security guards, feeling peeved by their attitude.
"Do you have identification? If not, get out quickly; don’t force us to act," the security guards barked, their tone extremely arrogant, because they assumed Lin Mu wouldn’t have any identification. If uncertain, they wouldn’t dare act so brashly; anyone visiting a patient in this level of ward would be someone they couldn’t afford to offend. But they’d been told downstairs that Lin Mu had no ID, indicating he was there to cause trouble, so the guards felt no need to be polite.
"Of course I have identification. Why would I be here otherwise?" Lin Mu smiled.
"Hmm?" The security guards were visibly stunned; he actually had ID? But the guards downstairs said he didn’t, so was this guy lying, or did the downstairs guards mess up?
"If you have ID, then show it to us," the security guards asked, half-convinced.
"Do you really want to see it?" Lin Mu asked the security guards.
"Stop babbling, show it quickly! If you don’t have it, then scram," a guard said.
"If that’s the case, here," said Lin Mu, delivering quick punches to their faces. The two guards groaned and fell to the floor.
Immediately, blood slowly trickled from their noses.
"Here’s your ID; you insisted on seeing it, so I had no choice." Lin Mu chuckled, spreading his hands.
"You... you." The security guards held their noses, appearing as miserable as could be.
"You, you little s**t," Lin Mu said, giving each guard another kick, making them howl and wail.
The guards couldn’t get up; Lin Mu lost interest and, carrying Haihua, walked further down the corridor.
High-class wards are high-class indeed; at the entrance, there’s a placard with the patient’s name, making searching for someone much simpler than in regular wards.
However, after a round around the corridor, Lin Mu couldn’t find Tang Zhilong’s name.
"Damn, isn’t he here?" Lin Mu wondered.
Quickly, Lin Mu returned and picked up one of the guards from the floor. The guard looked at Lin Mu with terror, his legs shaking uncontrollably. Clearly, Lin Mu’s ferocity made the guard fearful; he had been knocked down with a single punch and couldn’t even climb up after.
The guard wasn’t small himself; imagining Lin Mu’s terrifying skill made him realize that if there was another fight, he’d end up beaten, so he quickly became frightened.
"Tell me, which ward is Tang Zhilong in?" Lin Mu asked, holding the guard.
"He... he’s in that special ward," the guard replied fearfully, pointing to another area.
Lin Mu looked in the direction the guard pointed and asked, "Got a key card?"
"Yes, there’s a key card," the guard said.
"Give it here," Lin Mu demanded.
"Well..." The guard hesitated, looking at Lin Mu.
"If you don’t want to get hit, you’d better cooperate. I advise you, my patience is limited, hurry up," Lin Mu said with increased intensity.
"Alright, here," the guard replied, feeling suffocated by Lin Mu’s aura, nodded, and handed over the card. If not wanting a beating, the guard wasn’t going to be foolish enough to resist; a month’s wages wouldn’t cover medical bills, so he smartly handed over the card to Lin Mu.
"Good, you’re wise," Lin Mu smiled and patted the guard’s shoulder before heading toward the electronic door.
Once there, Lin Mu swiped the card, and the door opened.
"Damn, there are even fancier rooms inside," cursed Lin Mu. This hospital set up is far too corrupt.
After the door opened, Lin Mu walked inside, going through several corridors until he reached the end.
Outside one room, two middle-aged men in black suits stood, looking like bodyguards, like statues by the door, unmoving.
The appearance of Lin Mu and Haihua clearly caught their attention; both guards directed their focus toward Lin Mu’s direction.
"Who are you?" asked one of the bodyguards, coldly. They hadn’t seen Lin Mu before, hence their heightened alertness. Anyone entering here was scrutinized, even doctors.
"Hehe, is Tang Zhilong in this ward?" Lin Mu chuckled, looking at the guards.
"Who are you?" The bodyguard asked again.
"Oh, I’m his friend. I want to see him, check on his condition," Lin Mu told the guards.
"Show me your ID," the guard said to Lin Mu.
