Chapter 1369 - 1384: Showdown with the Celestial Silkworm
"Ugh..." The assassin let out a muffled groan, and then his whole body, like a severed kite string, flew backward to the side, spewing a mouthful of fresh blood. Under the shining lights, it looked like a brilliant rainbow...
The other two assassins saw what happened and swung their fists with great force towards Lin Mu. But by then, their power and speed had already decreased significantly compared to before, allowing Lin Mu to easily dodge and then flash to the back of the two.
"Hey, idiots, where are you hitting? I’m right here!" Lin Mu chuckled and patted their shoulders. The two guys turned quickly, but awaited them were two large fists right on their faces, too close to dodge.
Lin Mu’s two fists landed squarely on their faces — this is what you call a proper face-slap! The faces of the two assassins instantly swelled up, looking as swollen as Erwa, and blood started flowing from their nostrils.
Despite being injured and their Primordial Qi depleted, the two assassins refused to admit defeat. They wiped their noses and glared angrily at Lin Mu, roaring and charging once again. Although their momentum seemed fierce, their energy was nearly depleted, while Lin Mu’s Primordial Qi remained abundant, making it much easier for Lin Mu to handle them.
Lin Mu seized the moment — time to end the fight! He dodged quickly to the side of the two, effortlessly extended his foot forward, tripping one of them. The assassin close to Lin Mu immediately lost his balance, fell forward, and in his exhausted state, took a nasty fall — a face-first plant.
The other assassin, barely had any energy left, tried to turn and attack, but before he could raise his fist, Lin Mu swiftly kicked him in the stomach. In a blink of an eye, the two assassins were utterly outmaneuvered by Lin Mu, looking extremely pathetic.
"Heh, is this all you’ve got? Not enough for a fight!" Lin Mu taunted, gesturing provocatively.
With sudden determination, the two assassins crawled back up from the ground and attacked Lin Mu with fists and feet. But Lin Mu easily leaped aside, already positioned behind them.
"Hey, losers, turn around! I’m behind you!" Lin Mu teased, placing his hands on the assassins’ shoulders — a classic taunt!
As the two assassins turned their heads, before they could react, two massive slaps crashed down on them, slap, slap... A series of ear-splitting slaps echoed, Lin Mu’s hands moving as fast as a thousand-hand Buddha, relentlessly slapping the assassins’ faces, producing a rhythmic sound!
After a while, Lin Mu’s hands started to feel sore, so he stopped. By this point, the poor assassins from the Celestial Eagle Gang had long lost their human semblance, their swollen faces looking worse than pig heads!
Having been slapped into a dazed stupor, the assassins saw only a sea of shining stars before their eyes, completely lost. It took a while before they regained a sliver of consciousness and felt a bit human again.
Seeing them slightly conscious, Lin Mu seized the chance to ask, "How many people did you bring to deal with King Kong?"
"We... don’t know," the assassins wobbled, but their mouths remained stubborn.
"Dammit, even beaten to this extent, still pretending to act tough with me? Seems like the beatings weren’t severe enough!" Lin Mu, annoyed, raised his hand to continue the face-slapping show.
Slap, slap... A wild series of slaps ensued, and with the crisp sound of slaps, before long, the assassins let out a dull scream and spat out a mouthful of bloody spittle, mixed with several large teeth.
"Let me ask you again, how many people did Celestial Silkworm bring to find King Kong? If you don’t speak, I’ll knock out all your teeth." Lin Mu pressed the question.
The assassins, their minds dazed, could no longer speak. After all, a flesh-and-blood body can’t withstand such brutal torture, especially on the most painful tooth area. Teeth are the most sensitive nerve zones of the human body. As the saying goes, toothache isn’t a disease, but when it hurts, it can be lethal! This pain is unbearable to mere mortals.
"Three... three people," one of the assassins gestured with his hand, slurring indistinctly, as their teeth were knocked out, making it difficult to speak clearly!
Three assassins from the Celestial Eagle Gang — King Kong is clearly no match for them. Even with Erwa and their defense, they likely can’t stand against Celestial Silkworm’s prowess. After all, they’re masters on par with King Kong, and there are three of them. If King Kong could handle it, he wouldn’t rank only fifth in the Celestial Eagle!
King Kong understands them, so naturally, they understand King Kong’s abilities. The defensive measures King Kong could think of, Celestial Silkworm could also anticipate. Moreover, Celestial Silkworm raised King Kong, so they’re deeply familiar with his style and personality. Therefore, Lin Mu is very worried about King Kong’s safety.
Of course, Lin Mu knows that Celestial Silkworm is obviously not looking for Scarface for revenge, so he doesn’t worry about Scarface. They’re surely after King Kong to punish him for betraying the organization.
Thus, Lin Mu doesn’t dare hesitate. If he doesn’t go to help, King Kong will face unprecedented danger. An assassin organization like the Celestial Eagle Gang, utterly devoid of humanity, surely slaughters incessantly. Dealing with an organizational traitor like King Kong, they’d consider it simply cleaning house and won’t hesitate.
Lin Mu dared not delay, took three pills from his pocket and put them into the three assassins’ mouths. Soon, the three assassins lost consciousness. Without Lin Mu’s antidote, they will sleep eternally — until death!
Then Lin Mu decided to rush to King Kong to support him immediately. If late, King Kong might fall to Celestial Silkworm’s deadly hand! But before leaving the room, Haihua ran out from the bedroom.
"Honey, I’m going too!" Haihua said.
Lin Mu glanced at Haihua, thought for a moment, and nodded, "Alright, be careful!"
"Mm, I can take care of myself, don’t worry, honey!"
Haihua nodded, so Lin Mu and Haihua left the hotel and drove towards the Hai Family’s residence.
Meanwhile, inside the Hai Family’s mansion, the group of bodyguards arranged by Erwa was being forced to retreat step by step by two assassins under Celestial Silkworm. Those too slow to dodge had already fallen, with the assassins striking brutally, leaving the bodyguards in states ranging from severe concussion to instant death.
Facing such ferocious three assassins, what originally seemed like solid defenses instantly appeared vulnerable, because Celestial Silkworm’s savage power exceeded ordinary human imagination.
Especially when their opponents were merely a bunch of low-level toughs. For Celestial Silkworm, it was as easy as squashing a few ants!
And sitting at the steps in the doorway was King Kong’s massive body, towering like a mountain before them, the only source of threat that Celestial Silkworm perceived!
